Hands down the best chicken in Alameda, CA. Had it about 4 times this year. On my birthday this was all I could think about. I want to someday get this chicken catered to an event. “Oh my the place resembles a true image of a "hole in the wall", but Oh!, don't let the location nor look fool you. The food is absolutely amazing! The chicken will have you thinking, "This reminds me of home!" The sides were delicious too and lastly, the counter staff were very polite and respectful. “Got the bacon cheeseburger and made it a double. It was perfectly cooked; both the burger and bacon. My partner got a steak burger with fries it is huge for the price. I suggest adding cheese to it. Very large portion of fresh very hot fries. I’m the picture I added that is only half the fries. I had the rest with my burger. Can’t wait to try other food here“
“Wow this place is amazing!!!! Every slider is packed with a flavorful punch!!! Be warned the levels of spiciness range from low to extreme. I respect Dave’s Hot Chicken for keeping their menu affordable to the community, thank you for that. The sliders are cooked to order, very juicy, flavorful and HUGE! If you are not adding honey to your slider you are eating it wrong!!!! Eat the slider with honey folks, you will experience a powerful majestic energy within your mouth as you devour the monstrous slider. “I've been meaning to try Dave's Hot Chicken for awhile after seeing their LA and Denver locations! Went to a show at the Paramount Theater and walked over to Dave's. The menu is pretty simple with their different order packages (Sliders/ tenders with sides). Went for the number 2 which comes with 2 sliders and a side of fires. It's cool you can pick two different spice levels for each slider! Got the Mild and Hot to try ($16 total). The Hot is bearable and you won't be dying for water (it's Extra Hot or higher that will get you to that burn feeling!) You can also order some of their sauce and honey to add on to your sliders and it's bomb! The fries are also cooled perfectly (and you can immediately dig right in without it burning your fingers or tongue). I'd definitely come back here!“
“We were on a Breakfast Burrito binge. We were trying as many top-rated breakfast burritos as possible. We came across this place while waiting for another place. This place was better than the rest!!! Absolutely great!!! Go here as good, if not better, than all the other top-rated burrito places. They got our order wrong, but it's still AMAZING!!! I asked for toasted and Acado instead of guacamole. But they did not toast and put guacamole.“

I was going to go for the reaper level hot but they wanted me to sign a waiver so I passed. I think I will go for it next time. I usually get the two sliders and fries. “Pretty great option for chicken around here. I have always enjoyed Korean style chicken so when I saw options such as the honey butter or yangyum chicken here I definitely had to try it. Firstly, both the wings and drumsticks are huge and satisfying to eat. At its core it is great fried chicken with just the right amount of crunch without losing its juiciness. Flavor-wise I think both of these options are really good. The yangyum chicken, kind of wish had a bit more gochujang/garu smokiness to its flavor, tasted closer to tteokbokki type of sweet sauce and that added savory bite would have really hit my taste buds right. The honey butter chicken is equally great with a sweet and flavorful bite, though they only add just enough powder to get the flavor... would prefer it coated.Service is friendly and the front is simply a walk up counter, no dining in, etc. the pickled radish that comes with the chicken is better than alternatives I have been to but is still missing that refreshing bite that I have had in Korea.“

I know that it is a Filipino comfort food from childhood (I’m not Filipino) but I did not care for it. I’m not knocking it as I have no point of reference to compare it to.
