“Had brunch with my wife here because they just opened up in Albany. We shared the scone, I ordered the Chilaquiles and my wife ordered the breakfast sopes.Everything was delicious and food came out in good timing. The staff was also attentive and gave us space to eat and chat.Would come here again! We also ordered the Tri Tip Sandwich and the Chicken Gordita to-go. Also super tasty! Really though, try this place out yourself!Update: Feb 11, 2024Went back for lunch with my wife to try different items on the brunch menu. Wife got the Mt.Tam Potatoes, I got the banana French toast (both served in a generous serving size). We couldn't help ourselves so we got a scone to share, a blueberry pancake and a banana pancake with fried chicken on the side.Everything came out timely and tasted amazing. Consistency is something we feel demonstrates whether a restaurant has their stuff down or not. Second time ordering the scone was not a disappointment. The service was also consistent, they were readily available but we didn't feel rushed. We will continue coming here!“

“This is my new favorite place. It was so good. I've only been here once but I'll definitely be going back. And it's only two blocks from where I live, so it's super convenient. But I'm sad now because I'm moving back to South Carolina and don't think that I'll be able to find Guatemalan food there. I'll be a regular here until I leave. I had the dobladas and the estofado de res, or beef stew, and both were delicious. The dobladas are like empanadas. The pastry isn't flaky like Argentinean empanadas, so they're a little different. They're plump with more stuffing than pastry. There are four in an order, and they come in beef, chicken, or vegetables. The meat stuffing was mixed with carrots and peas, which I liked. The woman taking my order said I could get a mix, so I got two chicken and two beef. Both were delicious. They came with sour cream, grated cheese and guacamole on the side. I don't understand the reviewer who said they lacked flavor. I thought they were very good. I'd order them again. I'd like to try the vegetable one, too. The estofado de res wa also very good, with chunks of tender beef, potato and carrots in a tomatoey gravy. It came with a scoop of rice and potato salad. My mother is from Spain, and the potato salad reminded me of the kind they make in Spain, with peas and carrots. I enjoyed it a lot. I got my order to go, and the ladies who work there gave me a complimentary cup of alote de etol, the warm sweet corn drink, while I waited. It was also very good. My food was ready so fast I had to take it to go. I didn't take any photos because I was too busy eating. I couldn't finish all of the food in one meal, so I saved about half of it for lunch the next day. I can't wait to try their other dishes soon :-) Ambience is casual. The dining area itself is small. Free parking in the back with a disabled spot at the front of the driveway. Service 5/5 Food 5/5 Price 4/5“

“A huge shout-out to Boca Nova for their excellent food and service last night. We had a large reception for UC Office of the President's Health department prior to today's conference. The food was amazing and plentiful, service was impeccable, and Martin who I worked with from start to finish, was great. He was knowledgeable about the restaurant and food, offered guidance about the food when I needed it, was such a gentleman, and made us feel like we were dining in his own home. “Came here before a concert, it was a great snacks that turned into dinner :)Ordered the arepa and cachapa- loooove them! I personally like cachapa better because of thinner crust and that allows me to balance the corn and meat flavor. But the arepa still tastes amazing!Too bad there was no interesting drinks available, though. The restaurant was small and quiet, it's pretty tidy with small water dispenser available. The service is pretty decent, you'll need to come to the register and pay.“

Super-fresh tasting fish freshly fried and totally non-greasy. And loaded with veggies on top, much too much to pick up and eat. I eat some of the toppings until it's a manageable amount to pick up. And that's a good thing! They have a wide array of bottled hot sauces on the tables to choose from, many that I've never seen before.“

“Chain steak restaurant in the heart of SF downtown. The food is good with lots of meat options. If want to get the attention of the servers, make sure to sit down with the large crowds. You don't be left out at a corner somewhere on your own. Drinks are more expensive than average and not as good so I suggest libations at any of the bars around downtown. The salad bar is good with lots of cold appetizer choices. If go around 1-2p, you can get the dinner meat selection with lunch prices.“

“La Fusión was an amazing find by one of colleagues. This was suggested as a team outing since we finally have a full team now! They opened around 11:30, but to our surprise there was no line and no one at the restaurant at all. We were seated and greeted immediately by the manager and staff there. This is close by to Sajj Mediterranean! This is a smaller restaurant, but there are plenty of tables and chairs at the bar to enjoy everything. Everyone was super nice and friendly, and they made sure to go over the menu with us, as well as any specials they had.Water was being brought to our table before we ordered anything. I ended up getting the como saltado and that was $34. My team also ended up getting one of each empanada to share among us. Everyone else got the same item, or the rotisserie chicken. The como saltado was delicious! It was made fresh to order and I absolutely loved the flavors of this dish. You got chunks of tender, juicy beef with refreshing chunks of tomato and French fries! I typically have a love hate relationship with tomato's, but I ate everything UP. This does come with a bed of rice which was cooked perfectly. The only empanada I got to try was the seafood one. That one as delicious and I loved the outer shell, which was super crispy. Definitely a great starter to our meal. I'm not too sure how much we paid since our supervisor paid for our meal, but this is definitely on the list to come back again! Very pleased with our experience, the service, and how warm + inviting everyone is.“
