“Basic poke place but everything tastes fresh. I do wish there were more options for toppings, but I did enjoy what I got! I got a regular size bowl with sushi rice, salmon and ahi tuna, cucumbers, edamame, avocado, ginger, green onions, sesame seeds, and unagi sauce. It was very delicious and I was in and out within 5 minutes. The only downside is that it’s pricey. $21 for the bowl.Vegetarian options: Fish, rice, and veggies. There is a chicken option but otherwise mostly all vegetarian.Parking: Large lot shared with the other stores nearby. Went at dinner time and had no difficulty finding a close parking space.“

“Went here on a whim last night with my boyfriend and I'm still thinking about how delicious and affordable it was! They have a varied menu and many options for vegans like myself. We got the vegetable chow mein, hot sake, spring rolls and the ma pao tofu (amazing). Everything tasted freshly prepared and seasoned really well. I'll definitely be going back soon!“

“Food tastes GREAT! A little more expensive that Sushi Garden, but I really like the taste here. WE had the tempura combo as an appetizer, and then I had flank steak and a sushi roll. My friends had Donburri and pork Tonkatsu. Not much on ambience or atmosphere, but you come here for the food. Parking in the back sucks - there just is not enough because Ace hardware, Real Thai Restaurant, the Bagelry and laundromat are here also.“

“We’ve been fans of Chef Damien’s other endeavors for some time but this iteration is elevated to new levels and might be the best kept secret in Santa Cruz! The food is a wide range from Asian fusion to Brewery pub classics. Each dish has a beautiful balance of flavor and richness yet feels light and clean. The beers on tap vary from other local spots so you try some new Monterey bay local breweries. The ambience is classic old diner mashed up with skate/ surf culture with rock leanings. Bar scene with a tv and kind, warm people equals, great spot to watch a game. In short, this place is a gem and we always feel like we are scoring a new secret spot. Go now before it gets line out the door busy!“

“To start off the service was nice and friendly and very welcoming. Even the vibe was pretty chill. This might just be preference, but had the loco moco and although the burger patties had a nice charbroiled taste to it, it felt like it was lacking in some seasoning. Also a very important part of the loco moco which is the egg; wasn't runny and fully cooked. The gravy itself was okay, nothing really different from other places commonly known to have loco moco.“

“After a nice two hours hiking in nearby Greenwood Open Space Preserve, five of us went to Jia Tella's for lunch. So glad we did. It was a Friday and three of us went for the Friday special which was Tamarind Noodles with Chicken, a bowl of Hot'n Sour Soup, and Cambodian Salad (similar to a slaw with peanuts and basil). We asked if the Thursday special was available and it was. Two of us ordered it, Chicken Curry, Brown or White Rice, and Cambodian Salad. We were all delighted with the food. The curry, noodles, and soup were all mildly spicy. The Cambodian Salad was the star of the show-just plain delicious. The portions were generous and the price ($14) was really fair given the quality and portion. We just had water to drink but there was a good selection of beer. They are connected by ownership to the bar next door so you can probably choose from a wide variety of wine, liquors and mixed drinks. The food came out quickly and the wait staff were smiling, friendly, and efficient. I'd give Jia Tellas an extra star if I could. It was as good as the food we ate in Cambodia.“

“My mom & I recently ordered from their website- unknowingly only a few minutes before they closed. They still graciously made our food with no complaint. The food was very tasty. I got the crab wontons and veggie chow mein, the noodles were thicker than expected but delicious.“

“Small eatery with outdoor eating area and a local favorite in Santa Cruz. They have consistently good food with a chill vibe. I avoid this place when it’s busy however since parking and waiting can be a problem. Food is delicious and reasonably priced.“

“This Chinese/Southeast Asian fusion noodle and dumpling palace is what dreams are made of! I had the spicy Szechuan super soup, with wheat noodles (kind of like Ramen noodles and perfect). The broth was delicious, tons of perfectly cooked veggies and lots of noodles and beef. Wow! ??Can't wait to work my way through their extensive menu but it will be hard not to get this same soup ever time. ??❤️??“

“Great classic diner. Easy to access driving towards Santa Cruz from the 17. You could spend a long time just looking at the fun stuff on the walls, or being mesmerized by the lit up rotating cake and dessert display.Flexible menu - basically you can order the huge list of breakfast items anytime and lunch/dinner from the hours on the menu.I had a Vegan Thai dish last time - a huge bowl of tofu and spuds and onions in a tasty soup plus rice. Delicious and perfect after a beach day.Staff are friendly and savvy.“
