“I stopped in and got the Shrimp Tempura hand roll and the Spicy Tuna hand roll, and I absolutely loved the Spicy Tuna roll so much! It had such good flavor and when I added the soy sauce, it was definitely on and popping! Yummy, I can't wait to try some other menu items.“
“Ordered the Katsu Butter Chicken and Spam Brûlée Musubi through UberEATS for delivery around 2 P.M on a Weekday. Food was delivered quickly and hot. They packaged it neatly and provided some napkins and utensils as well! Great service although I can’t speak for the atmosphere.Would definitely recommend the musubi for anyone who likes sweet and salty combinations! The katsu is okay but was a little too oily for me.“
“Chicken Katsu and rice spicy-taste great not really spicy but packed with flavor. Shrimp and mac salad I would pass. Strawberry pineapple lemonade refreshing a little sugary, but tastes more strawberry than pineapple. Didn’t go in person so don’t know about the service and atmosphere.“
“04.02.2024 - Anniversary breakfast for my Mom & Dad at @aloha.stacks I've been here before, but it was their first time here, and they enjoyed every bite! We had no leftovers to take home. From left right: *Iced Coffee *Ube Coconut Pancakes *Hamburger Patty Loco Moco *Kids Cheese Omelet with Fruit *Kalua Pork Omlette with Potatoes I must say, the Ube Coconut Pancakes were actually good and not overly sweet. They were pretty light and fluffy, too! I'd recommend it! You can't go wrong with Loco Moco. I couldn't quite decide what to eat so I went with a dish, I already know I'll like. They have different options of protein that you can choose from, too! My Dad said the Kalua Pork omlette was very filling. It was actually jammed pack with Kalua Pork. My daughter likes egg and cheese, so that was a win for her. I highly recommend this spot, especially if you're looking for that good hawaiian meal. Keep in mind, their hours of operation is only from 6:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. There's a good amount of seating area inside, but it does get busy. The earlier, the better. Also, you order your food first at the counter and then find a table.“
“Ladies and gentlemen, the search for a good Loco Moco place is over. After a long, tumultuous search, and terrible stomach pains from other places, I have found the best Loco Moco in my area and that is Orange Hawaiian BBQ. Seriously, it's really good. I recommend it, ask that you try it, and thank me later. The small portion was good enough for me but man, I want to go back and order another to eat later. I will definitely come back again.“
“Came here on a rushed lunch. I came another time with a PLANNED and EAGER lunch. The food taste fresh. Their teriyaki bowl is a perfect proportion. It was sweet, tangy and perfectly dressed with crunchy lettuce. Good place to sit down and eat. I'll definitely return for many lunches.“
“When I crave got some poke, one of the best go to places in long Beach is ahipoki. I ordered the 3 scoop with white rice. I got the Tuna Lava, Spicy Tuna and Tuna Luau. The house spicy sauce, kimchi sauce, spicy mayo and eel sauce. Overall I was satisfied with my order.“
“Such a great poke spot! The regular bowl was about $17 for 3 scoops and was very filling - so worth it! The service was quick & the employees were friendly and gave pretty good portions out too :-) The nirvana sauce was spicy but soo good! Definitely a fan.“
“I love this spot, from their veggie plates to the awesome delicious ribs. I give this place 5 starsVegetarian options: Try the seafood platter, or the ribs, bomb they serve a nice stacked plate that will fill you up and have some left for later. Love this place!!!“
“Walked in and was greeted immediately by the lady behind the counter. Super welcoming and informative esp for a first time customer. Got the spicy tuna bowl on greens with garlic topper. The bowl was pretty good but was blown away by all the creative protein choices and saw they had Loco Moco on the menu so I had to got that route. Have not had it since a trip to Kauai. Was pretty on point but could’ve used a little salt. Also got the shrimp tempura which was delicious. Took a little under 10 minutes for the order to be completed and I will def be back to try the rest of the choices.“
“Wonderful customizable poke place and quick service! Clean and neat store. Good portion sizes and prices. The regular size fills me up. The fishes and sauces are delicious. I recommend to add tempura flakes to your bowl, which gives you an extra “umph”/crunch. The dining out area is on the smaller side, but it doesn’t bother me.“
“Indulged in a Large Bowl (5 scoops) priced at $15.99, this poke spot stands out as one of the best deals in Orange County. A true gem, it delivers top-notch QUALITY poke at a reasonable cost, and the portion sizes are even more impressive. While I typically stick to SALMON at poke places, the allure of trying their SCALLOP and the inclusion of avocado (usually an additional charge elsewhere) piqued my interest. To my delight, the fish surpassed expectations with its deliciousness, great quality, and a remarkably fresh taste. Notably, the cuts of poke and portions here are significantly larger than those at other establishments, making it undeniably worth the price. The standout BOOTEA RICE, infused with green tea, cilantro, and garlic, offers a uniquely flavorful base that enhances the overall experience.Upon the worker's suggestion, I opted for both the I Lava You and The OG house sauces, and they indeed provided the perfect spice kick and savory essence to elevate my bowl.Without a doubt, I'll be returning to what is now my favorite poke spot in Orange County. Excitingly, their menu extends beyond traditional offerings, including sushirritos, a tempting option I'll be sure to explore on my next visit!“
“A spot right on the corner in uptown Whittier. My husband and I were walking down the street and didn't know what to eat. Whittier is home away from home. We used to live nearby and take in all our favourite foods. We happen to be in the area and see all the updated shops and restaurants. We decided to try something new and We were so glad we did. Teriyaki Bistro was so welcoming when we walked in. We chose our option of plate/bowl and our toppings. I thought the toppings were a fun little treat. We waited less than 10 min for our food and ate downstairs. The restaurant was clean and had everything you needed. The restroom is located inside that needs a key. Don't worry you can't lose the key... It's attached to a metal serving spoon ?Save some room for dessert. They have ice cream sandwiches.“
“I drove All the way from Chino Hills after I seen this place on Instagram. I am very picky person and I was kind worried about the food before I try. Lady on Cash register beautiful and kindly help me about my order. Nothing to talk more, this place bomb. Beef ribs super tasty. You definitely should try.“
“Absolutely delicious, enough for me to come into help and leave a review. IMO, it gave me a little touch of Hawaii without actually being in there... because unfortunately we can't book an island vacation with bills looming around the corner if you know what I mean . (I ordered a loco moco plate and a musubi)“
“Let's start this with a heavy hitting they make fresh made to order sesame balls . Losing my mind how great they are. It's rare to find any in the area so I was beyond excited to come across this place by chance. I only ordered the noodles besides the balls ?.... Didn't disappoint equally as Delicious. I love that they add veggies too that noodles for extra flavor. The staff super friendly will be coming again for sure.“
“Got poke a couple days back after not having gone for a while. I will say I believe their portion sizes and sauce options increased so I’m very happy to see that! The good: the fish tasted really fresh, I got a medium bowl with half white rice and Half mixed greens and tuna, salmon and scallops for my protein. I love the wide variety of options they had for toppings and it was refreshing to not be charged for every little topping. The only thing that was extra I paid for was avocado (which they didn’t really give much of tbh they should give a little more)The okay: the bowls never seem to have enough sauce so I always have to ask for more. It can be annoying when I have to come back to get sauce. Also I wish they had a description of the flavors of the sauces because they have so many.Overall I would give this place a 7/10. It’s not too expensive and the portion sizes are great!“
“Small spot but service was quick and easy. Fish was fresh, bowl was packed to the brim (you can see that everything is smashed because of how full it is). I really didn't need a medium size... And now I've eaten all of it --yikes. They didn't have spam musubi ready yet because they just opened, but if I'm snackish later I'll definitely come back to try.“
“This is a tough one, I'm picky with my pokeI make my own that meets the exact flavor profile I want. Umami, salty, slightly fishy, scallions, sesame oil and seeds, and a dash of seasoned rice vinegar. Hey that's a lot to ask for you say...sure I agree but that's what I like, and I didn't get it.There was nothing wrong basically but I thought it was all very densly packed into a small bowl separating all flavors, making it tuna here, seaweed salad there all flavors scattered independently from each other....Could it be fixed? Sure start with a wider birth on the bowl, maybe give people an idea what makes for a great sauce mix as the house sauce was lacking umami.“
“Food was classic Hawaiian- Japanese meals. Very tasty chicken & pork dishes & good portions for the prices. The teri beef had some gristle & fat, but otherwise was well marinated. Just cut it off. Sufficient parking in the back. Will try the kalbi ribs next. Just wish they offered teri salmon.“
“This is my new favorite spot for poke. Their prices are great compared to other poke spots, considering their portions. I usually get a medium bowl that contains 3 proteins and the Hawaiian tuna is my favorite. The workers do not skimp on the protein scoops! I love the assortment of toppings and sauces. There is a good amount of tables inside for seating and the service is quick and easy.“
“Poki roll was closed due to a power outage when we tried to eat there. Didn't get to experience the service or the food. Re. Atmosphere, it was dark due to the power outage. I finally commented because Google keeps reminding me to comment. I gave them 4 stars based on others experience.“
“Came here the same day bc I went to another poke place that was disappointing. This one has a lot more additions. Fresh and more protein options. Friendly staff. Three protein with all the toppings you want. $15. Great deal. Good flavor. Fresh tuna“
“This is a regular place to order lunch. I never eat in ambience is not that great but I see people eating lunch on the outside patio chairs all the time so it’s about 20 bucks for a large pokey, figured it’s healthy it’s gonna be more expensive you know it’s just a bunch of protein in brown rice and salad in a bowl. Good healthy option as compared to what else is out there during the work week.“
“If you are looking for a taste of Hawaii while in Long Beach, go here! Kind, friendly, and delicous. The only thing that would make it better was a little better atmosphere because there was a lot of boxes everywhere, but the food makes up for that. I got it to go and drove about 10 minutes home and it stayed warm and was delicious at home. So good!I ordered the Kama'aina Plate but I was not sure how to pronounce it and I said a #1. I did not realize there were other #1's! The older lady that was helping me was kind and understanding when I noticed she was making a different order. I said "Oh I think I ordered wrong, I wanted the pork and laulau" and she corrected it no problem. The food was AMAZING. Poke was fresh and flavorful, the kalua pork was delicious, but the laulau was absolutely amazing, melt in the mouth and delicious.“
“If you find yourself craving a slice of Hawaiian paradise in Cerritos, Loft Hawaiian Grill is a must-visit spot. My friend and I were starving after a meeting that ran late and decided to eat at the first place we could find. This restaurant popped up on the Tesla's map and we decided to give it a shot. I'm glad we did because this gem of a restaurant impresses from the moment you walk in. The interior, while a bit rustic, carries an unmistakable island vibe reminiscent of a cozy hole-in-the-wall in Hawaii. While not impressive by traditional standards, the interior is funky and definitely has 'that' vibe. You'll see what I mean!Upon entering, the welcoming staff promptly seated us and presented menus featuring an array of traditional Hawaiian fare. The variety was impressive, from plate lunches to bowls and special island dishes. As a startup founder often scrutinizing value, I was pleased to see the affordability in relation to the generous portion sizes.I opted for the Island Fried Chicken plate accompanied by fried rice and mac salad. The chicken was delectable, and the fried rice is something I'd highly recommend. While the mac salad left something to be desired--it tasted more like potato salad than a true Hawaiian mac salad--it was a welcome accompaniment to a hearty meal. Overall, if it's authenticity and value you're seeking, make a pit stop at Loft Hawaiian Grill. With its great prices, ample portions, and an ambiance that transports you straight to the islands, this spot is a solid 4 out of 5 for me. The mac salad might not be a home run, but it's a minor hiccup in an otherwise delightful dining experience.“
“There's a lot of Hawaiian BBQ places in the area. This is the 2nd one we tried. While both places were really good taste-wise, this particular restaurant was not stingy on the meat by any means. The meat was heaping and barely fit in the Styrofoam container they put it in. Next time I'm in the area, I will come here again.“
“I was able to come here twice while on business. I did enjoy all the variety of toppings to the 3 or 5 protein bowl. The rice was great for the foundation.I tried the volcano 2 and spicy mayo combo and couldn't really taste the heat at all. Probably needed more flavoring. A but bland. But the bowl size and portion for 5 protein is good. 15.99. Adding an avocado baby scoop is probably worth it at 1.50 extra to give your bowl extra texture. Enjoyed the bowl. Spice up the sauces.“
“The first thing I want to say is that my server, Christian, was AMAZING! He went above and beyond on serving my food. He kept on asking if the portions were enough, which is something I dont get asked enough from places as such. He was super polite, gave the best answers to my questions, and always mentioned options when most others would have just given what I asked for. The food was spot on the best Poke I've ever had! Finally, the price was just right for what I was getting, and the restaurant was super well kept and clean! I HIGHLY recommend this spot, and if Christian is serving you make sure to leave a nice tip!“
“I really enjoyed this place. My first time here and I found it easy to order and grab my food for a quick lunch. I got a poki bowl with tuna and salmon. The fish was fresh and the add ons like crab salad, sea weed salad and cucumbers were yummy. Will be a returning customer.“
“Poke was ordered from post mates. I give it an 8/10. Very fresh fish with good sauce to my spicy tuna. I could’ve got a little more rice to balance my half rice half salad request. Also, they had spicy tuna crab mix which was very nice on top of a really nice avocado ?“
“Be aware that the portion is huge. It is enough for lunch and dinner for me, at least. The Loco Moco is very tasty. I lived in Hawaii for many years, and I can say this restaurant cooks authentic Hawaiian food. Highly recommended if looking for Hawaiian food. Prices are very reasonable.“
“First visit and Poke experience and I was pleasantly surprised at how wonderfully fresh and satisfying the Poke Bowl at Poki Bomb was. I had no clue, honestly, what I was building as I filled out their order form--but, upon presentation it was beautiful and full of fresh ingredients. Chef was very helpful in helping my dining partner pick out a spicy sauce that would suit his choices, while mine had a normal level of heat and just the right mixture of spicy mayo and dressing for the salad. From the edamame and corn to the fresh mix of salad greens it was all my favorite parts of a delicious sushi meal heaped in a gorgeous dinner salad. Considering the rising costs of fast food, sometimes it's worth a few more dollars to treat yourself to a healthy meal that doesn't leave you feeling ashamed for splurging. In fact, I would have licked the bowl out had there been anything left--but, even with chopsticks I was able to devour every last bit of brown rice. If I were you, I would choose dine-in and enjoy the atmosphere so as to give them time to prepare your personalized meal. There was plenty of seating during our visit, an entertaining message wall and the service was very accommodating. Thank you for the awesome preparation and for the attention to detail.“
“Nestled inside behind a Chase Bank on Beach and La Plalms is a small but decent poki place been coming here for quite some time. My wife and I decided to swing by a little after 12:30 pm on a Saturday. The place had a new layout but still the area. Their fish is fresh and doesn't have any fishy smell that's noticeable if the fish becomes old. Serving sizes are generous on all fish and mixings. The attendants where both courteous and listens to whatever you want added in short service was promptly done on all your orders.“
“Clean environment, reasonable prices, large portions (poke bowl), friendly & professional owners! Haven't even begun to describe the food, which is AMAZING! Very good quality. I've only ever gotten poke bowls but I need to try the sushi soon. 5 stars all across the board!!! BTW, they close at 8:30pm not 9pm. I came at about 8:25pm thinking they were open until 9pm and they served me with a smile!! Add this place into your take out rotation, you don't want to miss out!“
“I was looking for a new place on yelp to grab some healthy fulfilling yummy food and I came across this place! I went to pick up the food and it turns out lulubowls is one of several cuisines you can order. When you drive down 14th street you will see a beautifully painted building and it turns it's like a hidden food court. Definitely a hidden Long Beach gem! Don't let the overall rating fool you because the food I got from lulubowls is so good. I got the salad bowl and sweet potato potstickers. I am definitely going to come back to try their other bowls as well!“
“We actually felt like we got a decent amount of food for the price. We had plenty of leftovers, which the kids finished off later that night. My wife swears this is the best macaroni salad she has ever had anywhere. The pineapple sauce was delicious as well. I wish we had this restaurant back home.“
“Now I'm a damn picky eater and the food was well prepared cooked and flavored and the service was stern sold on his product awesome conversation and kids friendly thanks for great food and experienceVegetarian options: I had veggie garlic“
“Ordered their combo plates (-$16-$17): Kamoa (bbq chicken and katsu chicken) and Momena (bbq chicken, Kallie ribs and beef ribs). The taste is out of this world. The ribs, oh the ribs is so delicious, moist, pulled easily from the bone. The portion is good for two meals so the price is pretty inexpensive. Will come again to try their loco moco.“
