“We were staying at Bakersfield on a road trip and wanted to check out this place since it got good reviews. It did not disappoint. I had one of the best Galbitang soup I have ever got, and the owner treated us like family members. Such a nice and reminiscent atmosphere that reminded me of dining at my grandparents’ house“
“Delicious catfish, and yummy shrimp. You can taste the love in every bite. Seating is family style with old school picnic tables, but there is plenty of space. The staff were friendly, and food came quick after ordering. I'd definitely go back for their black eyed peas alone“
“Yuum! This place is great for flavor, ambience, and general cleanliness. The service is good too. The Pad Thai was delicious and the Penang Curry was just the right amount of spice! I do feel like it is a little on the pricey side for the portions that you get though. Portions are small. The to go packaging is great, we have eaten in once and to go once. The to go packaging is so nice I almost wonder if that's why prices are so high. $18.99 for a dish that should have only cost $14.99-$16.99 max. I'll probably try to find another Thai restaurant next time to see if portions are a little better. I shouldn't leave hungry.“

“A delight. Enjoyed the soon tofu combo (entree plus tofu soup). Tofu soup was smaller portion than I’m used to, but that was perfect with the combo. Served with kimchi, six banchan, and rice. Server was comically attentive. Will return again.“

“I enjoy their pulled pork sandwich, and their rice pilaf side is my favorite. There is a bit of a wait for the food, but it's because everything is made fresh. There isn't a whole lot of seating, so I take my order to go typically. Parking is on a dirt lot but there is plenty of it.“

“Beach barbecue is the style here. Fabulous fish and chips. My favorite is the petite plate. You get a choice of 2 meats: chicken, tri tip, pulled pork or beef. 2 sides: slaw, beans, rice or corn. The tri tip is very tender, but doesn't come medium rare, only cooked all the way. It's still delicious. The pulled pork is good, but a little too fatty for my taste. The chicken is great and you can get all white meat if you want to pay extra. Food is served quickly so if the place looks busy, don't worry you'll be eating in no time.“
“The fried catfish is my favorite in town! The outside texture is nice and firm while the fish itself is juicy and flavorful. The sides are delicious as well. My choices have been the chili beans and mac'n'cheese. If you love sauced up wings, check out the strawberry BBQ wings. They are delicious. I saved the leftover sauce and used it for other meals. This place definitely needs to be on your radar if you like eating good, getting full, and having leftovers to enjoy later.“
“I went to Kento's and enjoyed the food and how it is prepared when you order instead of sitting under a heat lamp. The owner was cool and the portions are good size for teens or young people. The orange chicken was good and tasted nice. It's four stars for quickie Chinese and fair flavor.“
