“I got a one meat plate with brisket, potato salad, and coleslaw. Brisket was nice, tender, and even further elevated by their tangy barbecue sauce. Potato salad’s a classic, super hard to get that wrong and Goodland’s is no exception. However, the coleslaw had an off-putting bitter aftertaste; I did not finish it. However, I paid $19 after taxes for just this meal. I don’t know if it’s because I don’t really eat barbecue too often or the “Santa Barbara tax”, but that seems a bit steep. Good meat, bad coleslaw, kinda pricey, decent overall.“
“I had the half chicken which was delicious ! The seasoning was just right, the skin was crispy and the meat was moist and flavorful. They've got a great selection of salsas to choose from as well. The beans and rice were ok but nothing exceptional. They do have beers as well which I didn't see on their website. They offer great food at reasonable prices, would definitely go back next time I'm in the area and would recommend to anyone looking for some great chicken“
“The menu boasts an impressive array of Hawaiian classics and innovative twists on traditional favorites. Start with the fried shrimp with a zesty tartar, bursting with flavor. For mains, the BBQ Chicken Musubi is a standout, tender and smoky. I love all of them!“
“Looked up “best food in Santa Barbara”.This was on the list and they accepted “open table”First of all, the complimentary bread was perfection. There is a Slow cooker outside and that smelled fantastic. So I ordered the BBQ Tri Tip.Melted in my mouth like butter.Recommend! My dinner mate ordered Cod and said it wasThe best.Melt in your mouth.Flakey, in the good way, best Cod had in years. And Server Mitchell. 10/10.“
“Food is great their is just a heavy set cashier that seems a littleIndifferent to me. Her tone of voice is a little stand offish and body language and I observed her with other custermers right after me which she was super friendly and animated with so it’s just me she appears to not like.Been coming her 18 years“
“So my buddy and I go to lots of KBBQ's. And all I need to say is that this is in my top 2. The staff (especially Fernando), was very attentive and the food was brought out to us almost immediately. The sides (all the veggies) were very delicious and most of all FRESH. I know there aren't many KBBQ's out here, but they will be very hard to beat.So in conclusion, I wouldn't fo anywhere else for KBBQ, when in town.“
“First thing you should know of you're a first time visitor is that parking is divided. When you pull up to the front of the restaurant, you can see that if you would've driven to the next drive way there is much more parking. This place is cute. The front entrance brings you to the bar area. Everyone is helpful and friendly. If you continue on, the outdoor patio is nice. Good ambiance. Then there is another area. Everything is clean with a bit of a garden feel. There's a little creek running through the back. Most importantly, the food and drinks were good, and not overpriced! We got a big burrito, chips, salsa, macaroni and cheese, and a taco plate. All great!“
“Large restaurant with many open tables. Good food with mostly American cuisine. The free garlic bread and butter is tasty and well seasoned.Had the Rib Eye Steak medium rare. They ran out of Prime Rib. Appetizers with fried pickles and brussel sprouts. Brussel sprouts were good and my friends thought the fried pickles were good.Friends had the duck and filet mignon which was very good as well. The place was not too crowded on a Wed night for dinner. Low volume. Didn't need to speak loud to communicate.Had the atmosphere and decor of a log cabin. Wait staff was friendly and very attentive.Highly recommended. Nice place for a quiet dinner with a small or large group“
