“This is likely the best Indian food in bakersfield.
The food here is very, very good. The food is very flavorful and not watered down like many other places.
I had the matar paneer, dal makhani, paneer paratha.
I can't wait to go back and try some other dishes.“

“The lunch buffet is to die for! Best veggie pakora I've ever had. Great price and great selection. There are different options every time I go in and they're all incredible. Now my favorite Indian restaurant in town (and I've been to a lot of Indian restaurants). My Indian partner gave it a gold star, too. His seal of approval isn't easily won!“

“We stopped here on our way back home to the Bay Area. The chicken curry was delicious and very flavorful. The ginger and chili tadka that chef made to the curry reminded me of eating at any Dhaba in India. The food is traditional Indian, fresh and carries solid flavor. We have two kids and we requested the chef to make bhindi for kids. Chef made the bhindi non spicy for the kids and the kids loved it. Overall a great place with great value for money.“

“I absolutely love visiting this place! Whenever I eat here, I always indulge in their delicious Mango Lassi and Kheer. I’ve been several times, and each visit feels like coming home. The staff treats me like a family member, making every experience even more special.
I’ve never had a complaint about the food, pricing, or service. Today, I enjoyed Paratha, Mango Lassi, and Kheer, all for a total of $18—$8 for the Paratha, $6 for the Kheer, and $4 for the Mango Lassi.
They truly create a welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of background or race. As a Mexican, I feel right at home here! I always enjoy the food and the warm atmosphere. Highly recommend!

“This food truck posted up at Polo park one day and we were hungry. So glad it was there because Oh my God are the loaded curry fries delicious! By far one of the best things I've eaten in Bakersfield. The depth of flavor is incredible and and had some good heat (spice) spread out in the fries. Every Saturday my daughter has soccer and every Saturday since eating this I have left disappointed because the truck has not been back. If you happen to stumble upon this truck give it a try and I guarantee you'll be keeping an eye out for it every week after“

“Tonight was my first time and I'll definitely be back! I had the coconut chicken and it was delicious! I also had an order of samosas, garlic naan, and a dessert (I forgot the name of it). Everything was delicious! The decorations in this place are nice and it's clean.
Also, my husband had a combination deep dish pizza and he enjoyed his food as well.“

“Finally could taste some authentic Indian food. The vadapav is their specialty I just simply relate it with the mumbai's vadapav taste. But anyways the staff were welcoming and ambience is quite decent. Must try their vadapav and panipuri.
Vegetarian options: Its a pure veg restaurant.“

“This is the first time I've ever had Indian food and it was amazing!!! Reminds me of Mexican food. Everyone should try it. The curry chicken, tikka masala, and the butter chicken were amazing!!! The tikka masala sauce and garlic naan together can be a meal on its own. Plus the serving sizes are huge. The combo 2 can feed two or three people on it's own.“

“Had an amazing time with family. Took a brunch with family. The parantha was amazing and shahi paneer and saag too. Loved that they had makki roti to go along with saag. Also really nice setup with indian style manjhas. Gives the pind vibes.“

“A surprise gas station stop. This is not a restaurant but a small counter inside a typical gas station store. The best, freshly made Indian flatbread. They made it right in front of us. Very friendly ladies.
We ate in our car along with cold mango lassi. Enjoyed it very much. Reasonable prices.
Three stars for atmosphere as this is just a good counter inside the store. But don’t let that hold you back from making a stop here( exit 244 on I-5).“

“First visit and as someone not of Indian Culture but really loves to learn and experience the little bit I can find, this place was super nice. I loved the wall decorations/posters and while waiting for my food I looked up everything. Probably wasn’t the goal of the restaurant but “Honk Ok Please” and the ”Diet naho payega” are now things I will be saying. I 100% spent 15 mins learning about both sayings and found a deep appreciation for what I found. I also now have a laundry list of movies to watch (starting with Umrao Jaan)— ASIDE FROM THAT, they have a lot of food I have never had and I will def be back to try it all.
I did the thing(ordered samosas and butter chicken) and I was not disappointed. I asked if they could make it spicier and boy oh boy it was spicy (but I do think it could have been a touch spicier). The samosas here will be my new comfort food, it was a beautiful balance of spice, potato, and fried dough. I wish I had got the naan for my butter chicken and maybe had some rice but over all— delicious. The ice cream was creamy and just good. Not too sweet, not too much, very well balanced.
The staff was very soft spoken which made it a little difficult to hear them because it was a bit loud (because there were customers and music. Not a bad thing) but def worth another trip. Plus you’ll be supporting local. ? thank you for the experience ??
Vegetarian options: Their dishes are CLEARLY marked for what is vegetarian. Dishes that have meat (Fish, Chicken, Lamb exc.) are directly in the name. Easy pickings.
Parking: Its a shared parking lot with Sprouts, Carl’s Jr and a few other businesses but there is plenty to choose from!“
