“This is becoming a regular spot for me. Combos are a little pricey but the food is so good. Portions are big just wish they included more Mac salad. A combo and sushi roll cost about $28 but is shareable. This is what we usually do for 2 people. Great chicken and beef!“

“I was craving poke and came for a quick lunch! They give you a piece of paper where you can just circle whatever you want on the bowl and you give it to the cashier when you're ready to order! I think because of this the bowls come out really fast! The salmon and tuna were big portions and really fresh! I definitely want to come back! This plaza also has a lot of parking so no need to worry about that!“

“A hidden gem within the Puente Hills Mall..The customer service was immaculate! If your on a time budget and trying to grab something quick and comforting..THIS IS IT!! We ordered the Katsu Chicken Plate..please note this is a huge plate!! It accompanied steam rice, Mac Salad and veggies. I also ordered the BBQ chicken bowl w/rice and veggies. Food was definitely a hit!! Although the ambience was a bit dark and wish they were seen more!!“

“I lived in Hawaii for 4 years and although I can't say that this takes me back, it was delicious and some of the best Hawaiian food I've had here on the mainland (at least fast food plate lunch style eats).We got the BBQ mix plate and all the meats were tender and flavorful. And I absolutely loved the Mac salad. We also got the spam musubi and chicken musubi. Both weren't exactly what I was expecting but good nonetheless.“

“Solid place to get some Hawaiian food for yourself or for the fam. I ordered their mini meal which was $9.99 plus tax. Solid choice-- comes w your choice of meat, some cabbage, Mac salad, and rice. Not a bad price point for what you get. What I wish it came with is a drink. That would definitely make the mini meal a great mini meal imo. All in all good place“

It’s a small family-run counter serve operation with great Hawaiian inspired plate lunch comfort food, especially for meat lovers.The place is tucked in a corner of the Vons mall at the southwest corner of Myrtle and Foothill, so plenty of free parking. The chef and manager Ken took my order and was very friendly and helpful to recommend certain specialties on their menu.I ordered the Chicken Combo (BBQ Chicken and the crispy Katsu Chicken) and the Hawaiian BBQ Mix (BBQ Chicken, BBQ Beef, and substituted Teriyaki Chicken in place of Kalbi Beef). Both plates come with two scoops of white rice and a scoop of Mac Salad. See images.Their BBQ Chicken is definitely a specialty, flavorful, and both combos I received were a generous serving of the moist and flavorful chicken.I would go back the next time I’m in the mood for Hawaiian plate lunch and would recommend 5 stars compared to other local counter serves in Monrovia.“

“Love Poke and this place has fresh fish and vegetables and I've been multiple times and it hasn't disappointed which says consistency - hard to find these days. It's the usual line up of choose your base: salad, brown or white rice or half/half and then proteins and add on's. Highly recommend coming out here to have a delicious poke on rice and salad.“

I came at about 8:25pm thinking they were open until 9pm and they served me with a smile!! Add this place into your take out rotation, you don't want to miss out!“

“I feel like this place deserves atleast 4 stars on yelp. The service was very kind and attentive . It was my first time to ono since years . A lot has changed . So I had to look at the menu for a bit, but Maria was helpful in helping me manage the menu because the photos keep changing on the screen. I ended up getting a combo with the short rib, Hawaiian chicken and Hawaiian beef . My partner got a combo aswell , we ordered the guava drinks to give it a more Hawaiian tasting meal aswell. The servings was a good portion and we didn't wait long for it to be served . The restaurant was clean as well. Will be coming back . The food was very good too!“

“We actually felt like we got a decent amount of food for the price. We had plenty of leftovers, which the kids finished off later that night. My wife swears this is the best macaroni salad she has ever had anywhere. The pineapple sauce was delicious as well. I wish we had this restaurant back home.“

I got a small poke bowl and it was filling but light enough to watch my calories since I was able to get half greens. Everything was fresh and the gentleman who helped me was very nice. “Why this place has 3 stars and not 5 is beyond me. Food is excellent, BBQ Chicken is fantastic, so is their Katsu Chicken. Portions are generous and price is more then fair for what you get. My family and I love this place and are so glad we decided to try it about a year or so ago. Always have to get a few Spam Musubi, they are great. The Loco Moco plate is also very good. We have tried most menu items and Haven't had a bad dish, everything has always been very good. The service has always been good too, the restaurant is clean. Can't ask for more. Definitely a favorite!“
