“This past weekend, I had the chance to visit Mirate without a reservation. Given it was Coachella weekend, I imagine it's usually tough to get a table here without a wait. Right from the moment we walked in and were directed to the bar area, I felt like something special was about to unfold. The environment was both open and lush, creating a sense of bliss similar to the feeling of being on vacation. The drinks menu was impressive, and I thoroughly enjoyed the La Soñadora, a clarified milk punch, out of the two I tried. We ordered five dishes, and four really stood out. I would definitely order the pork belly tacos, kampachi aguachile, jalapeño cornbread, and the baby gems again. We were too full to try the churros, although we wanted to. Our server was wonderful and played a big part in making our afternoon at Mirate a 5-star experience.“

And also the city rezoned the parking and reduced the numbers of spots to maybe 1/2 or 1/3 of what there was and made huge unnecessary red zones everywhere, but that's another story ?☕“

“Woah, such a cool place! Super awesome that it is dog friendly, has great food, alcohol, wifi, and a bunch of outlets around the area if you want to do some work. I came here with my bf and we stumbled upon this place by chance because all of the other coffee shops were packed with people and so we ended up just walking around. We just walked up to the parking area and asked the guard if there were any coffee shops nearby with wifi and outlets. It just so happened, he pointed at this bike shed behind him and said he thinks this place has all the things we were looking for. We were skeptical because there were just a bunch of motorcycles behind him so we were confused. We decided to check it out anyway and this place has easily become such a hole in the wall, great find! Service is amazing and they made us feel like it was home. Food was so good! We got the margarita pizza, the zucchini fries, and a beer. I would 10/10 order everything again plus more if we had the chance to come back. Lots of dogs coming in and out with their owners, so I was very happy about that! My pup, Benny, loves this place and I bet he would love to come back as well.“

“I made a Resy reservation to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Street parking was accessible and convenient a few steps away from the location. Once we walked in, I was greeted by first name by the host behind the bar who directed us to follow Lisa, our server, to our table for two in the garden patio. Once seated, she asked if we'd like to turn on the heated lamp, which we appreciated. We ordered the Hunan BBQ Pork Ribs (so meaty and smoky), Chilled Sesame Peanut Noodles (which my wife commented would be an ideal dish during a warm summer night), Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi (served on a toasted, pillowy brioche bun), paired with a side of the Shoestring Fries. Lastly we enjoyed an unexpected gift from the kitchen - Shanghai Triple Onion Noodles, which was a warm dish in contrast to the other cold noodles. As a thoughtful gesture, the bartender, offered us two glasses of champagne to acknowledge our occasion. To cap off our unforgettable meal, we ordered the Hochija Tres Leches and Honeymoon Bread Pudding. The perfect conclusion to a delicious and well-thought out dinner. For a location with a history dating back to the prohibition era (informed by Lisa), I'm glad to see it's continuing it's life as a bar with an innovative kitchen. As I mentioned last night, the dinner was great but the service was even better! Thank you for making our anniversary dinner memorable :)“

“Joseon is an excellent choice for a great date night in Silverlake, Los Angeles. The "less is more" ambiance is favorable, the music is not loud so conversations come easier, the staff is attentive, and the food is pretty special. The name gives the impression of a golden era of Korean dining, and an experience designed for royalty, and we definitely felt that throughout the night. My partner and I started with a cocktail/mocktail because they sounded unique (and they were). We ordered a 7 course and a 5 course, thinking that we could try to get a good variety when there were two options for some of the courses. We opted for wine flight pairing as well, and were surprised how well selected the options were. I'd recommend that a party of 2 orders the same number of courses, however, because we didn't always both get a course. We shared about everything though, so it ended up being fine. Also, knowing the process to expect for a 7 course meal will make a difference in how you appreciate the timing. Courses are spaced out by anywhere from 15-25 minutes, so expect to be in the restaurant for at least 2-2/12 hours, or more. We were at our table for just short of 3 hours, but we also talked with the staff a bit while enjoying an espresso with dessert. This kind of timing, in this context, is a good thing, because it means that the kitchen doesn't have a bunch of plates being pre-made then waiting to be delivered by wait staff who also have other tables to attend to. The chef freshly prepares each dish for your specific table, and then it's presented immediately. That makes for a top quality dining experience, where each of these dishes was not only a work of art but also presented for enjoyment, just as the chef and their team intends. We enjoyed the 7 courses! I think our favorite was the Braised Stew with Sea Bass, and the Rice Cake dish with Zucchini Blossom. The Sea Trout Tartare was also a nice way to start the meal. The aromas coming off many of those dishes was memorable. The dessert they brought wasn't on the menu, and came complementary for us, I don't know if they typically charge for dessert. One was some fresh cantaloupe with a special sweet sauce (they called it a palate cleanser), and one was an amazing rice pudding creme brûlée, it was an outstanding way to finish our evening. We will be back, next time we'll make it a double date!“

Disregard my inner cocktail nerd wanting to talk about alcohol with the bartenders but it's even hard to talk to the person sitting next to you.I'll probably try again tomorrow and update my review afterwards. All of that said, the drinks are very good so try it even if you end up just drinking them in silence.“

“Litos Cork Room (LCR) is a hidden gem in East Los Angeles, especially for Green Bay Packers fans. The welcoming vibe and unique Packers fandom create an unforgettable experience for any football fan. Drinks are very reasonably priced and bar service is quick in this tiny little Cheesehead heaven. The owners (Junior and his wife) are amazingly welcoming and generous people. Litos feels like a mini-Lambeau in ELA.Highly recommend!?? ?? GoPackGo“

“Quaint, intimate setting for vegan offerings.Very much enjoyed the experience on a weekday night date with my ?.It began with the Dreamy Green & Strawberry Piña Colada smoothies. These were amazing; fresh wholesome ingredients that tasted phenomenal when combined like they did.It was followed by the freshly made Lavender Dusted Beer Bread & Creamy Spinach Artichoke Dip.Mains included, Crispy Chicken Sandwich & fries customized to Chili Cheese Fries. Fries were unforgettably good!Creamy Artichoke Spinach Pasta was so tasty & the consistency of the sauce was impressive for being vegan.Ended the night with the Affogato, that included their fresh vanilla ice cream & espresso.Being the Carnivore I am proud to be ? “Love this place! Came here the entire football season and it was such a great vibe for sports. They even have a cute patio area with TVs which I'll be taking advantage of A LOT this summer. Full bar and the food is tasty - great happy hour in general but they also have a great taco Tuesday and $10 pizza Wednesdays. Highly recommend! Shout out to Jordan and Kyla because they're always so kind and take good care of us. :)“

“I heard this place existed, but never went. However, when hanging out with some friends, they decided to go here, and I was pleasantly surprised it does not look very big as it is nestled in with a brewery, but the decor and atmosphere is absolutely gorgeous. It is super fun and vibrant, there are no waiters so you have to go order your drinks on your own, but the drinks are hands-down, original and amazing. They do not only serve truly there, but mixed drinks as well.“

“We were up in the Long Beach area for the weekend and my husband wanted to watch UFC so he found this bar showing it at no charge! The place is big with lots of TVs, seating and games. It was a bit cluttered. Lots of stuff that were sitting in piles all over the place. It seems like it should be in a storage room but maybe they are short on storage. Other than that, it was fine. The staff was great. Like I said, it is a big place but we did not have a problem getting drinks or food. I ordered the pretzel bites and a Nathan's hot dog Chicago style. The dog was really yummy and filling. My husband ordered the quesadilla and he liked it. Said it was nice and spicy. If we are back in the area we will def return.“
