“I visited this location during happy hour and had an amazing experience! Our waiter was incredible he taught us how to open the Dungeness crab + provided top tier service. This restaurant is a gem. The food was fresh and the restaurant was clean.“
“I have tried a variety of items on the menu. A few of my favorites include the Al pastor nachos , caldo de pollo, torta de milanesa and the chicken tacos de canasta. You can’t go wrong with anything you choose. Irene and Jose are both really nice and will accommodate most requests.“
“First time coming here, we ordered the kimchi fried rice, beef galbi plate, and grilled shrimp plate - it was all soo delicious! Probably the best kimchi fried rice I've ever had, and it had an overeasy egg! I got it to go but it was quick and made fresh. Will definitely be back!“
“I ordered the Milpa Chicken bowl ?. It was good. It cost around $11.00. I enjoyed it. I also liked the green sauce better than the red sauce. I was really satisfied with the peach citrus honey tea. It cost $4.00. My tongue always feels refreshed when I drink a tasty iced tea like the peach citrus honey tea. The drink was perfect ?. I appreciate ? the good service here. The only downside is that you have to look for parking in the street and maybe pay for parking.“
“Best Peruvian food I've ever had! Their ceviche mixto is insanely flavorful!! I like to get it with no spice and get the spice on the side to add to taste, but if you can handle spicy then get it spicy and enjoy!! The fish is so soft and all the other seafood compliments each other well with the yummy sour lime taste. The mini sides of choclo (sweet corn), cancha (corn kernels), and sweet potato add so much texture and flavor to the overall dish. Definitely a must try! Lots of their other dishes are really delicious as well, so feel free to try them as well. Plus the bread the serve while you wait for your food is freshly baked and warm, and their green aji verde sauce is phenomenal!! ?“
“Craving some good and authentic Korean food, I found my way back to Jin Cook and as usual, it did not let me down.ITEM'S ORDERED:Sweet Potato Cheese Curry KatsuSpicy Braised Beef Short RibGarlic SuYukMilitary SoupTASTE:Let me first mention that I'm half Korean to add some credibility to my review :) ;) I will say that the Kimchi here is probably my favorite out of all places. That is mainly because it has a slightly sweeter flavor and less sour than others that usually have that more pickled flavor. I was told that it's the owner's mothers recipe so that just makes it all the better. The Spicy Braised Beef Short Rib aka Galbi-jjim is a dish I've had before and is one of those flavors that just wants to make you keep on eating. The only thing that slows you down is how hot it is with it being in the stone pot. It's so savory, a little sweet and has a slight amount of heat. I will say that I do have a good tolerance for spicy food though. Besides the meat which is so tender, I really enjoy the pumpkin and rice cakes in the dish. Unless you are with 3 or more people, you'll most likely have leftovers.Sweet Potato Cheese Curry Katsu is a unique variation that I don't think I've seen at other places. There's a subtly sweetness that goes well with the cheese, pork, and crunch. Be careful when you take your first bite, it comes out and stays very hot.The Military Soup is one of those really comforting soups that'll make you feel good if you're under the weather. It's actually pretty spicy so be warned. The pork belly that came had a real nice flavor that adds to the dish overall. It was my first time having the Garlic SuYuk and it's as tasty as it is to look at. The pork is cooked perfectly and the garlic paste that it comes with has so much savory flavor, with the right amount of salt. I could really see this garlic paste tasting good on so many other dishes in general. The chili paste is not really hot but provides a slight chili flavor adding to everything else.SERVICE:The service was exceptional. Getting all the warm Korean welcoming vibes at this place just adds to the comfort food feel. They were really friendly and attentive the whole time.LOCATION & PARKING:They are basically located in a shopping plaza with an Albertson's so there is lots of parking. The interior is very comfy and warm with its abundant wood use making for a welcoming ambiance. If you are craving some delicious Korean cuisine you should definitely check this place out.“
“After seeing some vids about how great the mul naeng myun is here, I had to come try with my family. My sister and I got the mul naeng myun and my grandma got the sagol dduk mandu guk (ox bone soup with rice cake and dumplings). The broth of the naeng myun was clear and crisp, but a little bland, I had to put in a lot of the mustard paste and vinegar to increase the flavor. Overall, I liked the thinness and texture of the noodles, but the flavor of the soup was nothing too out of the ordinary. The banchan though... deserves a standing ovation. The side dishes were fresh, well seasoned, and Korean grandma approved. I think I preferred my grandma's rice cake soup to my naeng myun, but I would be willing to come back and try their other dishes. We got a pajeon (chive pancake) on the side as well, which was crispy and came with a lovely soy sauce on the side. The waitresses were also very attentive and kind. The restaurant was nearly empty when we walked in for a late lunch on a weekday. Overall a great experience :)“
“I have mixed feelings about this place. While it has been my go to spot on rainy days this past season, it's been a hit or miss. Sometimes it's like the best pho ever and other times the meat is really undercooked and the broth wasn't hot enough to cook it further which resulted in a rather rubbery experience. All in all, I think I will continue to come back as everything else was enjoyable.“
“My beef noodle spot for a couple of years now. I have to visit once a week if possible and I'm in Long Beach and have yet to find a better place in sevetal years! Highly recommended and their other food is amazing as well. I just can't get over how good the soup is so that's what I get every time now. It might seem like a strange location but don't let that stop you and you can thank me later. Enjoy“
“I've eaten here multiple times and the food has always been stellar - if I could rate higher than 5* I would. I particularly love the 然面 and 担担面 but you truly can't go wrong here. Just don't forget to mix your noodles 18 times! Truly one of my favourite spots in SGV and a place I'll continue to visit “
“I recently dined at Arag Mongolian Cuisine and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The fried dumplings were simply divine, bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. The beefsteak was tender and juicy, while the tefteli with ground beef was a delicious twist on traditional Russian cuisine. The proximity to Russian flavors added a unique touch. Highly recommended for a delightful culinary adventure!“
“Really good food, got the chicken teriyaki and my husband got the half bbq chicken & half beef combo! It was a lot of food and so good! Their drinks are so cheap and yummy I got the Thai tea boba! Service is amazing they are so sweet and nice! Can't wait to come back.“
“Best beef noodle soup that is sanitary! I say this because there are some very yummy shops in SGV for beef noodle soup but your stomach would not appreciate them. Really generous with the meat and tendons. The broth is amazing and tastes super authentic. There can be a wait if you come around noon on weekends where they get the lunch rush. I would come here right after they open to dodge the wait. I overheard roughly 30 minutes wait when I was leaving so not sure how bad it could get. They also accept Apple Pay, credit cards, debit cards, and obviously cash.I genuinely love this place!! They also have 椰果奶茶(coconut milk tea??) that tastes reminiscent of 五十嵐in Taiwan (50 lan/Wushiland, but the coconut drink isn’t sold in their US locations). A bit sweet but maybe they can adjust it down. I just watered mine down and it tasted great.“
“My friend came from Tijuana to visit me ??♂️ and we found this amazing place?? NEW LOCATION, the food is amazing, VEGETERIAN NO PROBLEM i was really happy with the food, service is very friendly and they speak spanish tooI highly recomend this place?IOVE IT“
“Another place I go to regularly and somehow never reviewed. This little place is the definition of a hole in the wall with fantastic home-made tasting food. The kimchi stew tastes as good as the ones my friends' moms make. They always use very ripe kimchi. Their dumpling soup is also very good with broth that actually has flavor. Their meats are all well marinated and the stone pot bi bim bap is awesome! They also give you tons of side dishes. Their prices are also much lower than most of the places nearby. The Aunties don't speak a lot of English but they're always so kind. Love this place. **Tip: if you prefer white rice make sure to ask or they'll automatically give you the rice with stuff like beans.“
“#Best bossam and delicious Korean food in LAAmong Korean foods in LA, one of the foods that is hard to find is pig's feet and bossam. Gobau House here is the place that conquered LA Korean food with just bossam. It is a long-running restaurant that has been around for over 30 years where you can enjoy not only bossam but also a variety of delicious menu items such as seafood and green onion pancakes, kimchi pancakes, tray buckwheat noodles, cheonggukjang, and soybean paste stew.I've been a regular here since I first settled in LA in 2007, and it still has a great reputation.#atmosphereAlthough it has a slightly dark atmosphere, it is always full of customers and there are many servers to handle the large number of customers, making it a lively and noisy place. Looking at the customers, many of them come for family meals and many come for gatherings. This is a place where you can feel the quality of the food and its abundance.#side dishThe side dishes here are really delicious. When you're in the United States, the importance of side dishes and how much you crave them are amplified... but when you come here, that thirst is quenched. The slightly spicy soybean paste was especially delicious, and both the kimchi and seasoned vegetables were satisfactory.#BossamFirst of all, the visuals of bossam are rich.Assorted Bossam comes with boiled pork, jokpyeonchae, and steamed skate, but the portion is so huge that I have never been able to order one yet.Instead, in the case of regular bossam, pickled cabbage, pickled cabbage, pickled pickled radish, salted shrimp, seasoned dried radish, and pickled jalapenos are provided along with the bossam. The pride of this restaurant is pork that is gently boiled without any odor. The lightness of pork was well preserved without the use of herbal medicine. Here, my favorite conditioner is <Jeot Shrimp>. Instead of salted shrimp with a lot of water, it is a good idea to remove the water from the shrimp and add seasoning to the shrimp, which captures both the flavor and texture of the shrimp. Pickled jalapenos are a godsend, perhaps a last resort solution that takes advantage of American characteristics. Jalapenos provide a sweet and spicy flavor that goes well with bossam.#cheonggukjangCheonggukjang is especially difficult to cook at home in the U.S., but I always order Cheonggukjang when I come here. It used to be really delicious, but after returning from living in Korea, the soybean paste-like and sweet taste felt a little awkward. But it still tastes good. You can enjoy Cheonggukjang in a variety of options as they provide a spoonful of vegetables to mix with the rice.#ribPlease grill Korean-style ribs, not LA ribs. The seasoning is just right, the grilling is good, and the ribs are above average.Of course, it is much more delicious than BXX soft tofu.#Kimchi pancakeIt's not sophisticated, but it tastes like it was baked at home. It's a shame that it's a little oily, but the taste of jangtteok with red pepper paste and the freshness of kimchi are in perfect harmony.Overall, it is the best Korean restaurant that is not inferior to Korean food, but it feels even more upgraded with American characteristics. When you miss Korean food, you won’t regret going to Gobau House!!Super highly recommended!“
“I see why everyone loves this place, and the food hall it's in is just as cool. But parking is, while available if you're willing to drive a block or two, shall we say definitely a consideration.Parking: Parking lot is very busy. Expect to street park.“
“Denny is enough of a reason to go here as any! Great service and he's someone who clearly cares about his customers (checking in with everyone and even helping someone retrieve their phone from an Uber). The atmosphere was comfortable - not fancy, but homey. I'm veg, so not the best judge of the food (I heard the beef soup noodles were great), but I enjoyed the food as well.“
“This corner place restaurant was just around the corner from my place. I went in and was greeted by very friendly and professional staff. They did warn me that the portions are large. I am a large guy with a larger appetite. However I could not finish everything so I suggest bringing your family and friends. The brisket was delicious and there was allot of delicious banchan. One of the course i got the Yuk Kae Jang because I like spicy food. It was perfect! Delicious and beautifully spiced! I will be ordering this soup more tmin the future. My spicy tolerance us high and this was exactly what I was hopping for.“
“Pescatarian/ vegetarian options! I was surprised I got through on telephone to ask about their menu options. Whoever answered the phone had great customer service and was patient and hospitable with my takeout order. Parking lot was a bit stressful and tight space wise. Some of the best Vietnamese I’ve had in the Los Angeles area though !Vegetarian options: Banh mi“
“One of my favorite Chinese restaurants for really great food. I believe this place is Michelin rated. I'm not surprised. My favorite is the crispy shrimp/prawns. They must use super hot oil to get the shrimp shells to be so light and crispy. You can eat the whole shrimp, shell, tail and all!Today, the 2 of us had the beef brisket with quail eggs and the zhajianmein, a noodle dish using black bean sauce. Both very good. Very flavorful.Good service. They have set a high bar. Many new restaurants are trying to outclass and outdo Bistro Na. I was surprised to get seating for 2 on a busy afternoon after church. Maybe the others are out trying the new contenders?“
“Green onion pancakes are crispy, flaky, and fragrant. Dry crispy pork spare ribs with spices, amped up with chopped garlic and jalapenos. My favorite every time mala spicy prime beef noodle soup, tasty sauté of mushroom medly with Chinese celery - a perfect accompaniment to spicy dishes and their house specialSpicy noodles for those of us who like it hot! I'm so glad they have good service and consistently delicious dishes!“
“Nice local Vietnamese restaurant that I've come to a few times. Staff is a friendly and the food was quite delicious! I had some beef spring rolls and a vermicelli dish with meatballs. Both were very good and I had to bring one of the spring rolls home as it was a lot of food. Would recommend trying it out if you're craving some Vietnamese cuisine.“
“Treated so great, Great customer service, prices are great everything honestly hit perfect. We where just stopping off the freeway in a trip and this place was a Gem. Highly recommend we might come out just to try it again.Guy behind the counter really cares about setting a great environment. And super quick too!“
“The beef chow fun is literally, no exaggeration, the best plate of noodles I've ever had in my life. Not only the kind of flavorful that goes through your whole body, but the beef was tender as butter. The hot and sour soup was also exemplary. I'm kind of a man of habit and it takes a lot to add a restaurant to my regular favorites rotation; Fu Plus jumped to the top of the list and it's likely to stay there. Holy cow.“
“Always such a great meal here. Duck soup is hard to come by and this place always delivers. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable about their craft. My family goes here at least once a week! Highly recommended. Their portion is big and price is good too!“
“Ordered UberEats and it exceeded my expectations. We ordered the Ginseng Chicken Soup and the abalone jook / congee - both were so so good for the soul in a rainy day. The beef goes so well with the abalone jook too. The portions were huge so we couldn’t finish everything. Will definitely come back and dine in next time.“
“I am never disappointed when I order food from Appu's Cafe. I have tried almost everything on the menu and found it to be delicious, a good value for the price, and always ready on-time when I order online. The staff is kind and pleasant and very accomodating (sometimes I need to ask for the spice level to go down a few levels!). Excellent value all the way around!“
“I came here with my family on a Sunday evening. It's a sit down restaurant but not overly formal. The food here is delicious. I had the chicken karaage bowl that had great flavor and texture. The udon noodles and soup base were delicious as well. Can't wait to try other items on the menu.“
“We frequent this place often. My favorite is The Spicy Beef clear noodle vegetable soup (Yuk Kae Jung) is very god here. Bibimbab is another very good dish. Their food all around is pretty good. Small mom and pop kind of place. Sometime we dine in and other times we order to go. Always good food and never had any issues of the years.“
“Hole in a wall gem! They're having a special right now where everything on the menu is 30% off! Workers were sweet, attentive, and they even have a fly door entrance which every restaurant should have. - yuk gae jang was good imo. Although too much of it can get old because the broth was sweet. It tasted like dumplings juice? Lots of meat!- seolleongtang was rich and flavorful. - dumplings were average. They're not homemade and was just boiled in water I'm a sucker for mom and pop shops and there's free parking too! Location not so great but tradeoff are worth“
“This place is an old school Korean restaurant but the food is excellent. As someone who recently moved from Koreatown LA to a gateway city, I had to find my go to Korean restaurant and I think this is one of my favorite places. We like to get the Uhndaegoo jorim (braised black cod). Some of our other favorites are the dahk gae jang, as well as the bohtsahm. The atmosphere is very modest and simple, but this is the kind of place that suits me.I highly recommend this place both for Korean traditionalists as well as non-Koreans who just want some really good quality Korean food.“
“Fantastic restaurant! They are known, as the name in Korean suggests, for their cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew). Absolutely delicious. The staff working here take care of every detail in the service as well as the food. Price is also good. This is definitely one of the gems of ktown - homey, authentic, and delicious. Ample parking, but the restaurant itself is on the smaller side. There can be a small wait if coming at a popular time.“
“I bring my friends a lot. And people mostly know this place. Can feel pretty decent traditional pho. I'm a regular. My favorite Vietnamese rice noodle restaurant. When I was having a hard time after going camping, I went and ate to cheer myself up and finished packing up my belongings from the camping trip that day... It gets me full energy ♥️ ?“
“great food. we ordered phở for a cool late morning & sat outside so it was perfect. this is northern vnese style phở (which is just a little salty for my taste) but I appreciate the clear & not overly spiced broth. it's a straight forward & authentically honest bowl of phở. there are fresh spices, good quality beef & super tender meat fall-of-the-bone pork ribs. so good & so satisfying. vnse coffee (café sữa đá) is also right on the money! btw, for those who need it, you can load the soup up with siracchia & have a perfect hangover-buster ? you're welcome ? service is prompt & friendly - price is decent but not cheap. all in all, a winner for local norwalk & neighboring city. we'll definitely be back & highly recommend pho anvi. we need to keep good businesses around for fellow foodies.“
“A soft tofu restaurant located in the Buena Park area of Los Angeles. In LA, it is a Korean restaurant as famous as 'BCD Bukchang-dong Soft Tofu' and is a restaurant where you have to wait. There is a jangseung standing right at the entrance, giving a Korean feel. The interior is spacious, and as expected from a specialty restaurant, there are 14 different types of soft tofu. In addition, you can taste a wide variety of Korean food, including pot rice, bulgogi, ribs, galbitang, kimchi stew, naengmyeon, pork cutlet, and bossam. The food tastes the same as eating it in Korea and is very delicious. There are a variety of side dishes and they are all delicious. In the case of soft tofu, there are as many as seven levels of spiciness, so you can choose to suit your taste. Since the rice is served in a stone pot, it is nice to be able to cook rice by pouring water into the stone pot after taking out the rice. This is a restaurant I want to visit again.“
“I came here on Chinese New Year with my family and it was packed. We had to wait in line for about an hour before they opened because otherwise we'd have to wait. I'm not surprised about the line and wait because the food was very good at a reasonable price. I will come back again!“
“Fast service, the crispiest roast pork I've had, friendly servers. It was not so crowded on a week night for dinner and some - some couples, some folks alone. There's also a separate room on the side that seems like it could fit 30-50. Dying to try the crispy pork belly! Big portions. I'll definitely come back.“
“The parking structure right behind it can get pretty packed, but we have never had trouble parking there during prime dinner time. We have also never waited to be seated here, although the restaurant is quite bustling. Service is polite and very quick. If you are hungry, come here as your food comes out fast. The soup tastes light, but flavorful. Compared to other pho restaurants in the area, I feel like the broth does not rely on seasonings as much for flavor. They are also generous with the meat in the soups. The large doesn't look much larger than the medium, but it actually is. I can easily finish a medium soup, but cannot finish the large at all.The inside is clean and casual, with minimal decor. Perfect for a quick, casual meal with friends.“
“A very good place if you want to try out Henan food, reasonably priced, not many choices, check the food before you go. But I bet most of the customers are the same people who go there often. Like it.Look at the code dish, Enough for a big “
“A small local business offering Taiwanese food. The interior is older and aged. The parking directly in front can be a problem but there is more parking offered further down into the shopping center. The staff is nice and friendly. We’ve been going here for years and I feel like perhaps they have a new chef because all the flavors seemed off in some way.The menu has a lot to offer so you are sure to find something you like.“
“Have enjoyed coming to this place for years. Hot tofu soup, and bulgogi on a cold day hits the spot anytime. The pricing may seem a little high, but for the amount of food and quality taste it’s well worth it. Highly recommend giving them a try when in the Monterey Park area.“
“I like this shop very much. The beef texture is sufficient (I ordered half gluten and half meat), the noodles are chewy (I ordered thick noodles), the soup is thick (but a bit too salty), and the side dishes are delicious and reasonably priced!Paired with Hantian Lemon Aiyu, it’s another wonderful meal! There is too much clutter in the store environment, which makes it feel a bit oppressive.“
“Small restaurant/ cafe that specializes in noodles and dumplings. And more specifically, shanxi knife-cut noodles. The place feels family owned and operated and this was reflected in the friendly, warm service. I came in on a cold evening, looking for some warm soup. So I ordered the beef noodle soup. I ended choosing the thinner, hand stretched noodles (as apposed to the thicker knife cut variety), because it seemed like it would go better in the soup. The noodles were very well done and chewy. Great texture to go along with the comforting spicy broth. I also ordered fish and leek dumplings. Great flavor and structure. I took most to go because the two dishes I ordered was a lot of food. I enjoyed the vibe here. While I was eating, there were two ladies preparing dumplings off to the side. It reminded me of my mom and aunt when I visit my parents. So there was a nostalgic factor. Like a lot of other restaurants in the area that I really enjoy, this place feels like a great value for delicious noodles and dumplings because of their great selection and very reasonable prices.“
“Came here after a long road trip with a big group and had an amazing experience! Great menu selection, and server helped recommend what to order, what dishes, vegetables, meats, noodles etc. Food came out quickly, they gave us a little cart for everything. They frequently came to clear empty dishes and help if we needed to order more. I highly recommend the scallion crispy pancake! The sauces are great, even better when mixed. The soup tasted great and we took some home too :) Highly recommend this place.“
“Truly a local gem. Its one of those places that where you feel like you are home and you get a warm and fuzzy hug from your loving grandma and being served an amazing, silky, smooth substantial, flavorful broth. The banchan is also part of the experience, where your palate is primed for that comfortable wonderful feeling from the soup.“
“Taken a few friends here as they heard of this place being so good. I've been here before on a dumpling crawl. The pies here are filled with meat packed with flavor and juices. You'll have to vent the pie before biting into it or risk squirting your neighbor when the juices escape the pie.“
“I came to this place with my friend today, and I absolutely loved it. The beef noodle pho was so comforting and the portion size was amazing. The ladies were super sweet. every dish we got was so flavorful and delicious even the drinks! I would totally come back here if I’m back in LA.“
“Located on second level of Lincoln Hotel, free garage parking. Quiet, romantic, great for a date spot or intimate place to grab a drink. No crowds, full extensive menu. Drinks are on the expensive side for the pour, but a full bar. Outside seating has heat lamps. Great place to have a cozy chat, owner is friendly.“
“Wow!!!! Hands down my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant. Their beef pho is delicious? and out of this world. I’ve been a big fan of pho ? and have been eating this dish for years just about everywhere I travel to when I’m out of state or in the mood for it here in the city. This is my new favorite spot for pho. Wish I can give them 10 stars because they deserve it.“
