“Wow!! Everything about this place was amazing. The decor, the staff, the food. Can't wait to come back. Galata Turkish Halal Grill is on the corner of Belmont and Nieto. Depending on what time you come free parking can be difficult to find. They provide indoor seating and a few tables outside as well. I came with a friend and were seated within seconds. We ordered the Galata salad, a chicken donor wrap, and a beef donor wrap. To our surprise they brought out a plate of sun-dried tomatoes in herbs and oil with some fresh warm bread to start, so good! The food we ordered was delicious. We both agreed that the beef donor wrap was our favorite of the two. As for the salad, I thought corn was an interesting topping to add but I felt that the flavors went well together. The dates and the caramelized walnuts were a nice touch. However, my friend was on the fence about it. She mentioned it was too lemony for her taste. So keep that in mind if your preference is similar to hers when ordering the Galata salad. The staff had to have been the best part of the whole experience they were all so kind and very helpful when we were not sure what to order. They even gave us complimentary pomegranate tea when we finished our food. This place is a must try in my opinion.“
“This was a great gem to find in westminster! My husband and I were on a business trip and enjoyed the food and hospitality so much we returned the next day and brought a friend. We absolutely LOVED the falafel, kibbeh, and humus the most. We also really enjoyed the chicken kebab and beef shawarma. My favorite meat was a chicken they made special for the dinner buffet. I was so disappointed to learn it wasn't a menu item that could be ordered ?. I also liked the Barbosa dessert it as s coconut flavor without being over powering and the lentil soup was also AMAZING so creamy and smooth. Definitely top tier lentil soup he swears its just blended lentils but there must be some magical ingredients or process because that lentil soup was SOOO SMOOTH. I don't remember her name, but we were thankful she spoke Spanish as when we came in the forst time, the only two people there were her and another guy who only spoke Russian. Ahmed speaks fairly good English and so did the lady who was their the next day.This food was so yummy we would come back even if no one spoke english or spanish. We will definitely be back again. It's been a while since I've had really good falafel, so that was a super pleasant surpise.The venue is small, only about 6 or so tables that seat about 4 each. They do have a high chair if needed but no changing table in the bathroom. I wouldn't call this easily wheelchair accessible as the threshold is a bit high, and the space between tables is a bit limited. It would be challenging to maneuver through if all the tables are full.I highly recommend checking it out if you are looking for yummy Mediterranean food and are not afraid of language differences. ?“

“As entreprenuers we travel the world and the unknown and get to have great experiences with people. Today we visited World Famous Grill in Downey and Hassan was the perfect gentleman. He helped us with a Kabob Combo Plate with hummus, rice salad and pita bread along with their famous Western Burger which was monstrous and delicious. My spice tolerance is on the higher side and hot wasn't spicy enough, so you can be a little adventurous here! Chicken and fries were cooked well and portions are good for what you pay. I wish the chicken was a bit crispier though, hence the 4 stars. Yoon fries were good and filling, basically fries with a chopped up tender with coleslaw and drenched in ranch. I generally love ranch but it was a bit much even for me, and it made the chicken a little soggy. I got some of their special sauce on the side and it's pretty good!“

“I’m so so sorry for all those that miss out on this little gem tucked away in this little strip mall cause you’re certainly missing out on some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve had in ages. Superblylicious!!! The place is small and very unassuming and in fact I thought I had walked in the wrong place if not for the yummalicious smell of the food in the air that had pulled me further in…my son picked this place out but I’d been wanting to try it for several months. I had the Lamb kabab dinner my son had the steak and then ordered a chicken kabab on the side. They were so delicious and tender I will order all 3 again. Yep. All THREE and share. Oh oh…the Garlic potatoes are off the rocker. So Ah-May-Zing! One order is enough for 2 people. But let’s talk hummus…seriously let’s talk. I love hummus and they do hummus. 5 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ for the hummus. So to recap we ordered the kabab dinner which are served over a huge bed of fluffy flavored rice with a grilled onion and tomato, huge serving of hummus ❤️ plus pita bread, salad, pickled spicy onions and the best garlic dip EHVERRRR! They have wraps, bowls and all kinds of items. The food is done right and I’m already planning to go back this week. They have 2 other locations. The one in Long Beach is a larger restaurant that is a larger dine in serves wine and beer. Going to try there too.“

I remember when it was a KFC and I cannot believe how great they made it look. The staff was awesome! When I walked in they were joking around with each other like pals! Back and front staff! It’s rare to see such a positive team feeling like this! The manager was also very welcoming and gave great suggestions and was incredibly friendly and helpful. But that's because it was saturated in seasoning. I chose the hot one and it was hot! Took a few minutes to sink in. The sauce that came with it looks like thousand island dressing but doesn't taste like it. Kinda hard to describe the taste except it Kinda cools down the intense heat and pairs well with the chicken. “The best Indonesian food I’ve had in SoCal. On par with the best food I’ve had while in Indonesia. I would drive an hour every day to this place if I could. Try the Sate Kambing, nasi goreng sapi, ox tail soup. People there are super friendly. Dishes may seem priced a bit high, but the quality, taste and quantity makes it more than worthwhile.“
