“Amazing cutting skills were demonstrated and exhibited here tonight. Ordered deep fried squid. What we got was the extra fat deep fried batter. The squid was cut as thin as (actually thinner than) bamboo chopsticks, just like angel hair spaghetti. Enjoyed batter. Really good batter. Excellent batter. $14 batter. The string squid was used just to hold deep fried batter together. Nobody ever thought of this unique cooking technique. New invention in the Chinese culinary world. I highly recommend this restaurant BOTH to the culinary cutting skill lovers AND to the deep fried batter lovers. What a hidden gem in the Bay Area. I'm speechless. I will definitely come back again.“
“Hongry Kong catered for a mid autumn moon festival yesterday and really brought their A-game. Don't let the food truck fool you. They deliver top-notch dim sum (Ha gau, Siu Mai, egg tarts, veggie egg rolls) at a reasonable price , and the General Tso's chicken rice bowl is pretty dang good. Egg tarts run out fast at $2 each. Service is friendly and convenient. There's everything for the whole family. Great drink selection as well. Don't forget to try the HK style milk tea!“
“Ordered the Spicy Dan Dan Noodles, and it came with plenty of pork, cucumbers, and sauce. The noodles were also cooked well. And since it was the Spicy Food Fest, it came with Spicy Sichuan Sesame Sauce. It was indeed a little bit spicy, but otherwise, it was standard. They delivered the food fast for a food truck, and it was a food truck, so ambiance will be variable.“
“Your Cantonese food is here. TRUE Hong Kong style (which is sadly being eclipsed in CA by other Chinese/Taiwanese regional fare)PRO:- True Cantonese style- Reasonably priced- Good portions- Generous seafood portions- Sizzling plates are sizzling specials!- Food quick to come to the table- Big restaurant- Free agar dessert- Live seafood tank (lobster, crab etc)CON:- Limited parking in back- Not super Chinese service: They do bring what you want but aren't checking oftenSUMMARY:Food was excellent. Satisfied a craving for old school Cantonese food. I'm already thinking of the next time!Parking: Limited parking in back“
“Sometimes the portions are good, sometimes a little skimpy, but the food is always delicious. Hubby and I get the eggplant tofu every time as we're trying to eat whole foods plant-based. Don't be afraid of this dish--it's all about the delicious sauce!Vegetarian options: Only one vegetarian entree (delish!). Wish there were more vegetarian options.“
“The culinary expedition to 'Smoked Heaven' was nothing short of spectacular. Each bite of the tender, slow-smoked brisket melted in my mouth, releasing a symphony of flavors that were both complex and comforting. The smoky aroma, infused with a subtle hint of hickory, enveloped the meat, enhancing its juiciness and depth of flavor. The accompanying homemade BBQ sauce, with its perfect balance of tangy and sweet, complemented the brisket beautifully, elevating the dish to new heights. The sides, particularly the creamy coleslaw and savory baked beans, were delightful, offering a refreshing contrast to the rich, smoky meat. 'Smoked Heaven' not only delivers on its promise of authentic BBQ excellence but also excels in creating an unforgettable dining experience that leaves you craving more.“
“Amazing service, great energy, educational, and of course the food was delicious. Please do yourself a favor and try the Nan Gyi Toke. Our waiter Eric was kind, attentive, and a great representation of Burmese culture and food. Will be back.“
“Such delicious chinese food we couldn’t even believe. I brought my parents who were in town from Florida and my dad loves chinese food. After dinner he asked if we can come back the next day. Everything was so so good we were in shock. Will 100% come “
“Came for a team event with 6 people. Had to sign up and wait for a table. But didnt take long.We each ordered a noodle with some apps to share. All the food was great. Super authentic northwestern food. Prices were standard bay area prices.Would recommend for a quick meal.“
“Delicious staples time after time for the 6 years that we've had the pleasure of grabbing takeout and ordering party sized trays from here. Tip for trays: order at least 3 weeks out, and then if the staff doesn't give you a confirmation call the day prior then go ahead and call the restaurant after 8p to confirm.I could not find broccoli and egg tofu with brown gravy on the pre-filled recommendations list, and or should be :)The courteousness and the food itself have kept us loyal customers, this review is a long time coming!“
