“Ciccia Osteria is a gem of authentic Italian cuisine in the heart of Barrio Logan. The chefs, Mario and Francesca, use recipes from Northern Italy and pair them with exquisite wines. They even bake their own panettone, a traditional Christmas cake. The restaurant has a cozy and charming atmosphere, with food made with love. However, parking can be tricky, so I recommend taking an Uber. They accept walk-ins, but make sure to dress warmly in winter, as they only have patio dining. The menu has a variety of dishes to suit every taste, but my personal favorite is the mushroom flan. It is creamy, savory, and simply delicious. I also enjoyed the milanese veal, which was tender and crispy. The smoky old-fashioned cocktail and the roccotta olive oil spread for the fresh bread were also amazing. And of course, I could not resist their lasagne, which was rich and satisfying.Ciccia Osteria is my new go-to place for Italian food in San Diego. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their dishes. If you are looking for a genuine and delightful Italian experience, you should definitely check it out.Ciccia Osteria has earned a Bib Gourmand designation from the Michelin Guide. This means that it offers good quality and good value cooking, which is rare to find these days.Parking: Take an UberWheelchair accessibility: Ease first floor.“

“My favorite place in all of San Diego. A locally owned restaurant that makes everything (bread, pastries, deli meats, etc) from scratch and does not compromise on flavor and quality. The açaí bowl and egg n’ biscuit sandwich are my favorite dishes along with their scones.“

“Been going here since I was a kid. Was super bummed out when they closed the original location. So happy when they opened this one! They kept the same recipes and the family still owns it. They're awesome too! Favorite pizza in spring valley by far and I'd put their bread sticks up against any. They're the best.“

“Nice fancy place! Surprisingly very fast service, only took a few minutes to get our food. The entire interior has a faint smell of truffles because truffle is an ingredient in some of the dishes, which makes the experience unique. Truffle can be added to ur dishes too. I also completely recommend the polenta“

“These have got to be the best cookies I have ever had! I was visiting SD from out of town and found this place. I ended up making two trips because they were that good. Glad I was able to enjoy some great cookies and support a black owned business! And the portion size matches the price.“

“First time at this location in IB - Wanted to work for a bit and enjoy a good space, coffee and scenery, stopped by. Sebastian was working and was very helpful in helping me decide what drink to try.Picked up a Midnight Vietnamese (hot) + a empanada (bacon and egg) both were delicious! I love the functional lattes. Their drinks aren't loaded with sugar and a bunch of bad stuff!!“

“Excellent service. Fun, eclectic interior. Extensive, thoughtful, innovative and well-executed menu. This place is all over it.?My breakfast tacos were packed with lusciousness and were accented beautifully with fresh salsa and a great serrano hot sauce the server provided. I also tried the orange cinnamon roll pancake special; the base pancake batter was just ok, and I didn’t get much orange flavor, but with the great crunchy topping, and the cinnamon both in the butter and swirled nicely into the cake, it was an overall success.?I’ll def hit this place up again the next time I have the opportunity.“

“We stayed nearby Sunnyboy boy during our visit to San Diego and decided to give the place a try one day. Wish we came sooner because the food is delicious! The biscuits and gravy were good but I’d definitely get the fried chicken and biscuits! It does get busy around lunch time but it’s worth the quick wait. The staff is also very nice which is a huge plus!“

“This place was very unassuming but the sandwiches were great! Literally a hole in the wall with great food which are our favorite places to stop for lunch. As I was standing there I noticed the smell of freshly cooked bacon which made me more hungry. They had creative choices and a lot of them. The deli meats and toppings tasted fresh and the sandwiches were nicely crafted. All our sandwiches were spot on. To top it all off the service was very friendly. If you are looking for a quick lunch for the family check this place out!“

“Good breakfast food but sub par service. The hostess got my cell phone number wrong and after 40 mins of waiting I went back in to check on the status only to be told our table had been given away. Once sat, the waitress was very attentive at the beginning but then was nowhere to be found for 30 full minutes at the end. The food itself is good and is comparable to The Broken Yolk, and came out within 10 minutes of ordering. The atmosphere is quaint and eclectic with most of the seating outdoors. If this was within walking distance of my place, I would probably come here on weekends, but wouldn’t make the drive to eat here again.“

“I got their Tofu Pad See Ew and it was extremely flavorful. Their mild spice level added some great flavor without being too spicy.I like how this location has outdoor seating and can accommodate a larger group (10 people), compared to their original location. The staff made our meals in a relatively quick time period but still maintained it's great quality.“

“What a great French bakery in Little Italy! They have so many pastries and lunch options available here, as well as coffees and teas. “Pesto Italian Craft Kitchen continues to impress with their terrific pizzas, pastas, salads, and paninis. I've returned several times since 2021 and have had several different items, including a most recent Pistachio Burrata Pizza with imported prosciutto and a garnish of chopped pistachios and arugula. The pizza's crust is fantastic and offers great texture and flavor. The milky mozzarella cheese with the prosciutto is bliss. I liked that they were not heavy-handed on the balsamic but drizzled just enough to bring the pizza together nicely. On a previous date, I had the gnocchi Verona with pesto, bacon, cherry tomatoes, and mushrooms. If you like gnocchi and pesto, this one is a winner. New on their menu for spring is the vegetable calzone filled with fresh crisp vegetables and harvest pear salad. They are both wonderful.A while back, I had the Prime Steak Panini with a delicious and juicy prime flat iron steak. The panini comes with "Prime steak, pesto, banana peppers, provolone cheese, pickled cucumber and arugula" (Pesto Italian Craft Kitchen, 2024). This panini is a must if you like steak and paninis. It's a winner! One thing I love about Pesto Craft Kitchen is that every time I return, they seem to be elevated their food to new heights.“

“This place is delicious! There was no wait time, which was surprising because it was Sunday noon. The place was very nice, the atmosphere and the vibes were great! The plates are individually designed, but you can definitely share them with your +1. I ordered the short ribs omelet, turkey Benedict, and Dutch pancake. And to drink a pitcher of Sandia Margarita.

“Our quest for a quality cake within our tight budget was arduous until we discovered Frost Me. Prior to finding them, we had tried numerous cakes from different vendors, each failing to meet our expectations either in taste, ability to deliver, or affordability. With just six weeks left until our wedding, we were losing hope until we discovered Frost Me.We were immediately impressed by the taste and quality of Frost Me's cakes. The frosting was perfectly balanced in consistency, texture, taste and mouthfeel, while the cake itself was a delightful combination of moistness and fluffiness. The cake was not only delicious but also had a fresh and light flavor. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the unique churro flavor, and even my discerning husband, who fancies himself a cake connoisseur, was thoroughly impressed.Having a three-tiered, elegantly designed, and delicious cake was crucial to fulfilling my our vision and ensuring our guests had a memorable experience. Additionally, Frost Me accommodated our gluten-free needs flawlessly, providing a gluten-free version that tasted just as amazing as the main cake.Audrey, the talent behind Frost Me, was not only professional and knowledgeable but also artistic in her approach. We were incredibly grateful that she was able to take on our wedding on such short notice. The simple yet elegant design they crafted perfectly complemented the overall aesthetic of our celebration. We wholeheartedly recommend Frost Me to anyone in search of a top-notch wedding cake that exceeds expectations in taste, quality, and design.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free Wedding Cake“

“We came for the first time in 2015, eclair was very delicious. My sister and I decided to have breakfast at Partfait yesterday. Egg benedict was a little salty but delicious. “It is delicious and you can tell it is popular as there is always a line to get in. Their specialty, as their name suggests, are pancakes, and although there are normal ones, the best are the German ones, which are a giant crepe type filled with caramelized apple or vegetables with cheese. A little expensive but worth it“
“I want to start this review stating, I do not eat fish unless it is battered and fried. So, naturally, the only way I'll eat a fish taco is a battered and fried fish taco. I ordered the chipotle fish taco, not knowing it was not a fried fish taco. I was hesitant, but after I took my first bite... I couldn't believe how insanely delicious this taco was!!!! Not only was it absolutely flavorful... it was a large fish taco!!! So many good flavors! The fish was not fishy or mushy and was seasoned and possibly pan fried to give a texture contrast. The chipotle sauce was yummy and had that kick that I love. Loved all the fresh toppings too which makes a fish taco so yummy and balanced! We all ordered something different. My daughter ordered the Baja style and the ginger fish taco! She said she could eat probably 4 more that they were that good! My youngest, who is not a fish person ordered a plain carnitas and she was impressed! Last, but definitely not least... I have to mention the staff! Hector and staff were so nice and friendly, which I always appreciate! Will definitely be seeing them again to eat more fish tacos! I'm so impressed with their fish tacos (not battered and fried btw) that I must try their others! It's funny cause my mom can't even get me to eat fish like that... haha!!!!“

“I have been a lover of Puesto since it's first opening in San Diego at Seaport Village. Since then, I've frequented the locations in La Jolla and Mission Valley. The Mission Valley location is the best of the three, by far. Not only is the atmosphere wonderful but so is the staff. Particularly, I must mention Ricardo, who has been one of my favorite waiters there. He is attentive and makes you feel like family. You can tell he enjoys his job. “I gave the food 5 stars but did not eat here. I believe that it isn't fair to give negative reviews on it if you haven't tried it. Overall, loved the vibe. Around the corner behind the fireplace there was the video selfie station which was fun. I loved the atmosphere. It wasn't busy when we went, but there was a DJ which I appreciated. It is underground so if you don't know it is there then you may not find it which I appreciate. There were no servers so that was a bit annoying. We were sitting in the four chairs by the fireplace and one of our party members had to go and get drinks and miss out on the conversation. Overall though I would definately go back.“

The quality of the service and desserts is spot on. The only recommendation to improve the experience is the quality of the coffee . Either sell good coffee or don't include it in your shop.“
