“First I want to say that the customer service was on point! I felt welcomed and heard which is a big deal. I don't eat meat - just fish and when I told the guy making my food that, he was so nice about changing his gloves and taking the precautions that made me feel comfortable. That's a big deal for me because there are places that are very rude and take offense to me addressing their cross contamination practices. Anyway for the food, my wrap was so delicious! It tasted fresh and had a lot of veggies which I appreciate. It also came with some garlic fries which I wasn't expecting and they were bomb! I got a wrap and fries for $13 bucks smh that's unheard of this day and time AND it was delicious and fresh... I will definitely be back!! Only thing I wish I had was some spicy tahini sauce to pour on my wrap, that would have been a game changer forreal.“
“I've been to Skaf's a couple of times now. As many reviewers note, the cheese roll is a must get if you love and respect yourself and your happiness. Queso fresco and feta fried in the crispiest wrapper is a match made in heaven.Grape leaves are also a wonderful appetizer, especially if you're like me and could accidentally put away 12 of this if not paying attention.I often find falafel to be disappointing in restaurants and much better homemade, but Skaf's falafel would give even the best homemade falafel a run for its money. The texture is exactly how it should be - crisp, crunchy exterior with a soft (but not gummy) interior. The falafel is also jam packed with flavor and surrounded by insanely well executed tabbouleh (perfectly seasoned), cabbage salad, hummus, and babaganouj. Their wraps are solid as well, but the veggie combo plate is where it's at!Lebanese coffee on the side on a rainy day at Skaf's. Kindest servers as well“
“Excellent kabobs, probably the best I've had in LA in the 5 years I've lived here. It's located in the middle of a residential area, and I had heard about it from so many people so I had to finally try it. I got the beef and chicken combo plate, and the meat was very tender and full of flavor.There isn't really a place to sit down and dine unless you want to sit at the one table out front, it seems like more of a takeout spot. The staff is INCREDIBLY friendly. A true " your friendly neighborhood" type of feel. I really appreciated that.I will add that they are very popular, so I would recommend calling in your order in advance for pickup to save yourself what could be a 1-2 hour wait. Much easier to then just go pick it up when it's ready.Parking: It's located in the middle of a residential area, so you have to find parking along the street. Alternatively, there is a shopping plaza about half-a-block away, and you could just quickly park there if you're picking up.“

“This is a great lil joint hiding away in a not often traveled part of DTLA. It’s a small and cozy spot but the food they cook up is delicious and very good portion sizes. Nothing is crazy overpriced and the flavors of everything are spot on. We got the beef and chicken lule combo and lamb chop combo and loved it all. The char and flavor of the chops and lule was amazing. Plus the rice that comes with it was cooked perfect and I love that it comes with a sumac seasoning to add. Would definitely go back and recommend“
“Took a take out after reading their reviews and a long day at universal studios. The portion was a lot but the chicken was dry not soft and juicy unlike other Mediterranean joints.Their chicken wraps were good though.We were visiting the studios so stopped here on last day for dinner take out.“

“We were looking for a Mediterranean spot near us via Google maps search and I was surprised that I never noticed this spot before (we come to the Sprouts next door on occasion). So, the place doesn't stand out, but the reviews seemed reasonable, so off we went. Wow! The food presentation alone put a smile on my face (pic is after I had eaten some already). Happy to say that everything tasted just as wonderful - fresh, light, tasty. My husband was impressed with the tenderness and flavor of both the chicken and beef. He had the beef kabob with humus, for our 3 year old I ordered the kids chicken kebab with rice (thumbs up for having a kid's menu!), and I had one of their specials - lentil fried rice sans meat.Apart from the food, the owner (I believe) who took our order and the cook who also served us were great. Neither overly friendly or impatient, they were a pleasure to be serviced by. They look you in the eye when speaking, are accommodating, polite, professional. Makes a difference, big time.All that to say that this hole-in-the-wall restaurant has made it to our go-to list. I decided to order from this place because they had bunmoja (noodle like rice cake mochi?). I've been wanting to get my hands on them to try since I love chewy texture. My daughters and I were greeted warmly by the lovely hostess and within minutes the owner, Ali came to welcome us! He is a warm charming man and treated us to the most amazing Gheimeh Bademjoon with Tadig on the house. We had the Kabeb Kobideh and the boneless chicken and Ghormeh Sabzi. They were all exceptionally good and the service was top notch. It was lovely to be in a Persian restaurant with the warmth that is typical of the culture! We now have a favorite place in LA!!
