“Fun, casual place for meeting a group. The culinary approach is best described as comfort food, with something for every taste. I chose Lazy Dog to for a family get-together because it's close to our Foster City relatives, has easy parking, and a nice outdoor area that is dog-friendly. We all found something we liked in the menu. My husband really liked the Cuban sandwich, my older daughter loved the Kraft macaroni and cheese (nothing special, obviously, but exactly what kids tend to want), while my other daughter wanted Asian noodles, so we shared the yaki soba (which was delicious). Most importantly, my somewhat picky 92 year old grandmother, who medically needs to make sure she eats enough (but can't always bring herself to), ate her entire portion of teriyaki noodles. The lunch portion was perfect for her--she can't eat too much in one sitting. What I liked most about Lazy Dog was the service. Anthony was really great. Some of the dishes we initially tried ordering were unavailable, so he brought free dessert--sundaes for both my daughters. And they were extra fun: bowls of ice cream with little dishes of chocolate sauce, strawberry sauce, and sprinkles so the girls could make the sundaes themselves. The other staff were also attentive. When the sun got bright, they brought an umbrella, unprompted, to shade my grandmother. There's a deal right now for one small plate for $5, available all day--a bargain.“
“Had dinner here for the first time with a friend who suggested the place...the reception by the hostess was good, the place was pleasant and had a warm atmosphere. Equally good was the food. The gin and tonic I ordered at the bar tasted more like tonic than gin.“
“Stopped for lunch with a family full of picky eaters, and everyone got something they liked. Excellent customer service, clean establishment, decent ambiance (they don’t blare pop music like so many places this day and are).Vegetarian options: Plenty of protein options, primarily tofu or soy-based noodles.“
“Amazing food, wonderful people!I ran across the BLT Lunch Truck today, and it was like finding a hidden gem! ?I had the vegan burger with the side of chips and an Arnold Palmer (green tea & lemonade style), and everything was so fresh and clearly made with intention - from the herbs on the chips to the homemade bun.I will absolutely be coming back!“

“Hard to find old school mom and pop Japanese food these days more so that serves proper katsu! Katsu curry brings me back growing up in Japan so nostalgic taste. I’m so glad I found this place.Parking: Small complex with limited parking spaces during normal business hours.“
“Great place to come after work to unwind. Happy hour is great and how can we resist the goat cheese and pepper jelly spread; it is addictive and we order it every time. They old fashioneds with or without the candied bacon are awesome. Our tea toddler friends seem to be satisfied with the mock tails and the ginger beer. Food wise, they have a quite a spread of offerings and when I'm in my vegetarian mode, I get the beet balls with spaghetti squash. The servings are big and can be split as they're good enough for two.“
“Highly recommended Japanese restaurant with an assortment of curries, appetizers, and main dishes. Located right at the entrance of the Hillsdale Mall with lots of parking within walking distance of the restaurant. The food here is definitely worth a trip to the mall. The food here is excellent. The chicken katsu curry was amazing and they have several dishes focused around Waygu beef which were also amazing. The serve alcohol here too. They offer several types of sake. They also offer beer being Sapporo Light in a bottle or Sapporo regular on draft. The food was amazing. They also have an automated service model with robots serving the table. It’s definitely a cool thing to see at first, but you start to miss the personalized feel of a human server. Also, they ask for tips after you eat - but are you tipping the robot?Otherwise, great food and we were in and out very quickly. If you love Japanese food - definitely come through and try it out! Also check out the cool robots ?“
“The chicken karaage is really good with a lot of flavor. The tonkatsu is also perfectly breaded and tender. The curry overall is good and but has some mild sourness to it. In terms of the curry itself I’ve had others that are better. There is table side spices to allow you to put heat into the curry which I really like.“
