HL Peninsula Pearl is a popular Cantonese restaurant offering authentic flavors and generous portions. The menu features both Americanized and traditional dishes, catering to diverse preferences. Guests can savor savory chicken, beef, and mutton, as well as delectable rice rolls, shrimp dumplings, siu mai, and hot red bean dessert. The restaurant has views of the bay visible from the upstairs seating area, making it a nice spot for groups and special occasions. The interior is fancy yet cozy, with comfortable seating and a picturesque view of the San Francisco airport. Ample parking in the lot makes it easy for visitors to find a spot. The restaurant can accommodate large groups, and the service is quick and friendly. Some guests have noted that the location appears a bit run down or sleepy, especially on weeknights, but the overall experience remains satisfying. The restaurant charges an 18% service fee, and while most find the food and atmosphere worthwhile, some have mentioned occasional unfriendliness, especially towards non-Asian customers. Visitors often enjoy the view, the good food, and the convenient parking, making HL Peninsula Pearl a solid choice for dining with family or friends.
