“Been here twice in last 3 weeks with my buddy and neighbor Mike. The food was pretty good for a sports bar. Our server the first time was Candace and last night Thursday September 28 was Teresa. Both times the servers were outstanding. They each were fun, friendly and very attentive. They both really added to an already good vibe. Loads of TV's and good viewing layout although the sound was very uneven between tv's and couldn't hear the broadcast for the Packer game. We expect to become regulars here because of the food and the servers. Hope they can sort of the audio issues. Really a fun place !!! Ron K.“
“I’ve been here several times and they never disappoint. Their Bloody Mary you can’t have just one. Bring your appetite because everything on their menu is on par. Their staff are all friendly and courteous. The owner is the best. I’ve been coming here a long time so this is one of my go to spots for brunch, happy hour, lunch or dinner and drinks. “The food exceeded every expectation. Every ingredient played its part so well and the food was curated to perfection. Our service was also so amazing. From the hostess to the server, to the bussers walking around, all of the staff was incredibly nice and made everything about the experience so much better. The server even handed us our check in a book and let us sign in the book which was so unique and I loved it. Lastly, the Ambiance of the restaurant was perfect. The layout was so nice, we sat down in the breakfast area near the high tops and this area was so nice. It was well decorated and it was extremely clean. I loved everything about this place, my only complaint is how busy it was but I place this good must be so busy. 10/10 would go back any day.“
“Sat at the bar since it was just me tonight. Served my double, neat. Bartender took my order and dish was served in about 15 minutes. There were a lot of people out tonight and it wasn't too loud. Liked the vibe. Nice, fun, but not rowdy. Dish was great. Otho g overpowering, chops were cooked perfectly and not dry. The polenta perfectly creamy and balanced out the chop and broccolini char. Would definitely order again.“

The esthetics of the inside is dark and cool but also open and comfortable, the food and service was top notch and share plates are a great way of getting to try multiples items on the menu. “My third or fourth visit to Hawks. I've never been disappointed, and tonight was a memorable experience. Party of four for early dinner. The mushroom soup amuse bouche was wonderful. White Fog Farm lettuce salad was (reportedly) excellent. The Caesar salad was tasty but the creamy dressing revealed it as an imitation Caesar (in my opinion); the saving grace was the white anchovy on top. (I am a Caesar salad purist and I am frequently unimpressed; woe is me.). Entrées: Duck--excellent! Short ribs--excellent! Steelhead--excellent! Lamb loin--excellent and more! Wine: Fair--a Tuscan red, good but overpriced for the quality. Dessert: We have had the "beignets" before--these are tasty enough but they are NOT in any sense beignets--just sugary doughnut holes with caramel sauce on the side. What they called an entremet might, in a pinch, be considered a "deconstructed" entremet--but an entremet it was not. The parts were, however, very good, if little more than a small mound of fond chocolate with cocoa nibs and a bit of white filling. We were very pleased with the unexpected serving of two extra dessert items, quartets of little chocolate dollops on shortbread and Sangria-infused gel cubes--very playful and delightful. Decent late-bottled vintage port and good tea and coffee. The service was spot on--absolutely top-notch. We were VERY pleased with service and atmosphere. Despite the scattered culinary contradictions, I say : Go to Hawks--time well spent.“

I went with the butter chicken, hefty helping served over rice with a decent size side salad for like $11. “We had our wedding reception here back in September and it was a hit with all of our guests. Everything from the food to the cocktails to the service was exceptional for our special day and we couldn’t be happier. “Very enjoyable dining experience. It's in a residential setting and appeared closed as we drove up. After further investigation, it was indeed open.Food was quite excellent. We had the halibut (special) and the flat iron steak. Both were prepared to perfection. Halibut was crusted with a pistachio mixture, and served with green beans and potatoes. The steak was in a wonderful chimichurri sauce and served with delicata squash. Good selection of wine and beer.“

The space has some kitschy little touches like a silverware clock and outlet plug ins in the booths??? It could definitely benefit from a little face lift. Service was another area that could have used a little improvement. We were greeted and seated and then left to our own for a bit. The menu options are plentiful which is not always a good thing. The food was mostly hit or miss for us. The hash browns on the Benedict are very pretty but were left uneaten due to the stale grease taste. The scramble was pretty tasty. This is a 3.5 star review for us which I will round up for being a family run establishment.“

“This is my new favorite spot to come. Christian is just amazing, Jennifer is a doll, and a wonderful, friendly waitress. Quinn was way too good. “What can I say about it that hasn't been said before? Got a burger since it was advertised as their award winning burger and it was excellent. My wife got tomato soup as well as a meat quiche. I should've gotten the meat quiche. That was also really good as well. To top it I got a bloody Mary. They seem like they didn't mix it well and I felt all the alcohol was on top. No points taken off though since it was good anyways.“

“Alright, I admit, I have been driving past this place for decades. I always thought "Huh, cool name. I should stop sometime" but never did for some reason. Last night my wife and I were driving past after an event in Rocklin and we decided to finally give it a shot. Why have we not been here before?! An incredibly cozy and fun neighborhood bar. Great food; my cheesesteak was amazing and the homemade chips were on point. The prices are totally fair. The ambience was fun with a lot of regulars in good spirits. The music was there but not so loud that you couldn't hold a conversation. Apparently one of the owners is from Chicago, so there is plenty of Cubs and Bears paraphernalia along with SF gear (the other owner is NorCal) and it definitely has the Midwest "neighborhood bar" vibe. I half expected to see a bottle of Mallort behind the bar. Anyway, you should definitely stop driving by The Glass Turtle and stop in!!“

“Any Jack's Urban Eats is always a pleasure to visit and go thru their cafeteria like ordering system and then sit and hangout a bit. This time we did an online order and was able to pick our food up from their self pick up shelf which was nice because I didn't have to visit the busy workers. I always go for their chicken sandwich, husband likes to get the mango salsa chicken sandwich with a gluten free bun which is so nice that they offer, and we go for the family garlic fries which are always good. We also got a side of Mac and cheese for our one year old and I haven't ordered that dish before and unfortunately it was not good. Was not nearly cheesy enough and the noodles weren't cooked al dente. My baby girl didn't even give them the time of day and she LOVES Mac and cheese. Maybe it was a bad batch but probably won't try that again. Otherwise any other item on the menu is amazing! And truly the employees put in work to make it amazing so kudos for them.“

“Last minute lunch with my son and we had a great time. Food was good! Atmosphere was good. It was early on a Monday so not too packed. Mini golf looked nice but we only had time for the batting cages. Tried out 4-different cages and they all worked without issue. I would bring a bay if you have one. Theirs are pretty worn but that didn’t hold us back. Awesome time!“
“Matteo's Pizza & Bistro is a lovely classy restaurant that has a beautiful indoor and outdoor dining area. I especially love to come here on warm summer nights and sit outside with the hanging bulbed lights, water wall and lush vegetation surrounding the outdoor patio area. It's wicked pleasant. Their menu is a good size and they offer specials and change up dishes based on whats in season. I really like their pasta dishes especially. This visit I hot the scallops and they were summer yummy and sliced like butter. I also got to try the salmon tacos which were good and satisfying and their roasted beet salad. That reminds me, I love their salads too. They also sell wine and if there's a wait it's fun to wander around their wine display and check out the different labels. Wonderful servers too and host.
