“Sunshine Cafe does bring the Sunshine to its dishes. This lowkey, cozy, and hidden location is a gem in the Cathedral City area. This was my first time at this diner and the food was very memorable. I want to go back for seconds, but the portions they offer won't let you fit it all in. This small quiet family inspired diner has the vibe that makes you feel like you are dining at your grandma's or great aunt's house. There are no frills to distract you from the food. This location appears to be very clean for a so called "hole in the wall" type diner. An A+ for me.The staff is very quiet but very welcoming and inviting. We arrived and all the tables were full but they offered us seating at the counter. The counter is low seating, so no high chairs. As soon as some patrons were done eating, we were able to move our seating to one of their cozy booths.This location is conveniently located right off Hwy 111 on Cathedral Canyon Dr. Parking is very limited but they are next to downtown Cathedral City where a parking structure and street parking are available. Once you park, it's just a brief walk to this diner from the parking structure.Sunshine Cafe makes everything homemade and you can definitely taste it. I had the Chicken Fried Steak with hashbrowns, 2 sunny-side up eggs and the homemade country sausage gravy. This was a great flavorful dish. I was really surprised with the creamy gravy that complimented the chicken fried steak. So Good!!! The hashbrowns were fresh and the eggs were served beautifully. Also, this order comes with a side toast of your choosing. The best part is that they took it upon themselves to butter my toast before it came to the table. I was able to enjoy this meal with their fresh squeezed orange juice.My partner had the Belgian Waffle Combo. This dish comes with 1 large waffle topped with whipped cream, 2 sunny-side up eggs, and 2 large sausages, but bacon is also an option upon request. She was able to have this delicious dish with all you can drink hot coffee. They are very attentive with filling up your mug everytime you reach the bottom of the mug.Overall this is a great location to enjoy a homemade meal when you want to indulge your appetite with lots of love and sunshine. They offer a multitude of other food options, other than breakfast items. As we walked up to the diner, we were hit a with a delicious aroma of charbroiled burgers. I will definitely be back to treat myself to what I assume is a mouth watering burger and my partner, well she can come too.“
“Not enough words to say how wonderful this place is. A Marilyn Monroe shrine . It's always buzzing with the locals that know how to find it the tourists that stumble into it. The portions are plenty big for 2, or for a big hungry person. It's all homemade, so get ready for an explosion of flavors in your mouth. I don't need to go into the menu options, it's all wonderful.“
“Had a great evening with friends sitting at the bar. While the food still has a little ways to go, fries were undercooked for example. The experience was made all the better by our bartender Jeff. He handled all the bar and all the drinks for the dining room. The guy was hopping. And yet, he found time to make us feel we were important to him. I wouldn't hesitate to sit at the bar again.“

“Fantastic! We had a great time at Frisky Business. The owners are kind and passionate, and greeted us with excitement. You get any drink you want, which they bring to you in the cat room— and they take great care to have good coffee, matcha, and really nice drinks in the fridge. There were 10 kitties, as two had just been adopted. At first they were mostly napping, but they warmed up to us as we coaxed them out and played with them. It was extra fun to give them treats and earn more trust. I will be back absolutely any time I’m in the area! Didn’t get many photos because I was too busy enjoying the cats. Great vegan options!!“

“Great selection, smells like heaven in there! Service friendly, fast and patient as you drool over options! Trays of fresh donuts continually replenished. I had a raspberry bismark with powdered sugar coating and an apple fritter. YUM!! Hubs had a glazed donut and cinnamon twist, he agreed YUM! Fresh, light flavorful and my fritter still had warm apples inside. They even threw in a couple free donut holes to try (raised ones, also so good!) That's a simple way to get repeat customers!“
“It's a beautiful outdoor space. I'm for biased for sure, because nothing is nicer than coffee on a sunny morning. My cappuccino was excellent, cinnamon biscuits not so. It was soggy. To be to my taste, it should be more dry. Service was good. You order on the counter and the server will bring you to your table.“

The chef makes delicious food, some french some asian and some an interesting combination of the two. Quiches are exquisite here as are the lightly dressed salads for lunch, which is what our party of four experienced at French Miso Cafe 3/8/24. “Tried Baby's for first time today. We had the special Croque Monsieur sandwich and Le Poulet sandwich. Both were very flavorful and both were huge capital letter HUGE. The sauce in le poulet was delicious . However, the bread ( large baguette style ) was so dry and tough I could barely tear it apart with my teeth. It was what happens to bread when it's warmed in a microwave for much too long. I was afraid I would pull out several teeth trying to get a bite. I took most of it home. The patio is lovely and serene.“
“People were super nice. Food was solid but espresso drinks are not real so for me this was a big problem. A good cappuccino is worth more than a delicious bagel in the morning! I will say all baked products looked and smelled fantastic and the donut holes they give you were a nice treat“
“We biked here from our hotel, JW Marriot, early morning and grabbed some pastries and lattes. The pastries were delicious, but wish they weren't so sweet, but the lattes were not as good as I hoped. We ordered some special holiday flavors and they tasted very artificial. We do recommend the pastries though!“

“Such a wonderful restaurant. The crew was fantastic, such a professional wait staff. The meal was excellent. No outside dining but plenty of room inside. We were there for a Tuesday lunch and the place was full. The bakery is awesome. The menu is extensive with plenty of choices. The parking lot is very ample with easy in and out. “I don't usually start reviews with comments on the ambience, but you must know that Casuelas Cafe on a Sunday afternoon is unbeatable. They have live mariachi, which pairs perfectly with an ice cold (or frozen) margarita. The margaritas were stout and delicious, none of that weird pre mixed flavor. Theirs are obviously home made. Highly recommend the mezcal margarita. We ordered the trio fajitas, which was easily enough for two. Stacked with shrimp, beef and chicken, and cooked to perfection. Wrap these up in a fresh tortilla and slap some guac and salsa in it and you'll be in heaven. Service was 10/10. Waiter checked on us very often and made sure we left happy and full. Highly recommend Casuelas. We have high standards for Mexican cuisine and this spot did not disappoint.“
“Went through the drive-through as a quick stop before our 4 hour drive back home. The veggie burrito was great (I don't like vegetables but want to and thought I'd give it a try ?). However, when I asked for no egg on mine, they took the egg off both and left my hubby's veggie burrito without. He wasn't happy because he wanted the egg and was hungry soon after.Just be clear on what you want, and you should be good.“

So yummy & delectable. And shout out to her supervisor Sharon who assisted me with my Tater Tots order, since menu had loaded tots & I didn't want all that ingredients. She accommodated my request & charge me as plain French fries. Since it's just plain Tots & same veggie family LOL!)
