All the details are thoughtful, from the rose water hand towels to the chopstick holders to the candles and light fixtures... You feel special just being in this beautiful space and being presented with such lovely plated dishes!
Our server, Alice, was fantastic! She guided us through the menu and made several suggestions, which were fabulous. We ended up ordering the waygu gyoza appetizer, which has such a nice texture and savory flavor. We also got the sea bass entree, which is served over a bed of risotto and oh man! This was so fantastic! Comfort food and cooked to perfection! We also got the salmon spoons from the sushi menu, also the servers recommendation, and these were a party in your mouth! Bright and fresh! Also, complimentary edemame is provided with your meal and it is the best! There's sugar and a little spice on it so its just so addinctingly yummy! Finally, we had to try the chocolate sesame desert, which had a great combination of flavors and textures!
Overall, we had the best experience and loved the service, food, and ambiance of O-IZA and can't wait to come back to try more!“

Not a complaint just a suggestion, the waitress could have been a little more personable and enthusiastic. She wasn't bad but not great, very quiet and didn't say your welcome when thanking her. Place was busy and parking not too hard to find.Nestled in a mostly-rundown area of DTF is this hole-in-the-wall establishment that serves American (and a few Mexican) plates, Chinese and Japanese plates and soup. A very unusual combination, but it works well here because the place was consistently busy while we ate.Someone comes by and quickly asks what you need and promptly brings you the food. I had their huevos con chorizo plate with pancakes on the side. You can immediately taste the oil from the griddle they've had for the last 15 years. The grease is so prominent and delicious AF! Looking at the cooks, they are very efficient because they have a tray with plates ready to be served.Overall, such a unique place. The prices are very low for the deliciousness you get. Cash only! All walks of life come here and I highly recommend you come as well!“

“Great place for authentic Japanese cuisine! I got the Chicken Katsu Bento box and for $20 ish you get ALOT of food like way more than $20 normally gets you now a days. The ower is a great man running the restaurant mainly by himself and he deserves your patronage. I hope he gets a better location one day because I firmly believe the only reason he's not always busy with line stretching out the door is due to the area. I can't wait to go again and try the other sushi rolls and alcohol he has to offer“

“I’m a local delivery driver. After experiencing a couple pickups here. I decided I wanted to try this place out with my girlfriend. As a delivery driver I give them five stars for speed, accuracy, to go packaging, and professionalism. They treated me a stranger and random delivery driver with respect and were very polite. They package their orders very well which left me with no mess to clean up. I’ll admit that the food smelled good also.

As a customer I’m honestly blown away. They were still super professional and really welcoming. Making my girlfriend and I both feel really welcomed. The food was unbelievably delicious. My girlfriend got the salmon bento box and I tried the spicy oinari shrimp bento box. Before our main course we enjoyed the jalapeño popper appetizers. I honestly forgot to take a picture of her food. But dang the salmon was great, and so was the shrimp.

We will for sure be going back in the future. I highly recommend this place. It’s local and I believe a family owned place.“
