The ambience is getting better by the day since we started dining there over 2 decades ago, I am not giving it a 5-star mainly because the rest rooms are situated outside and around the corner but this will too be remedied after the expansion plan is completed in the next few months. By the way, there's underground parking in the complex in case you can't find space on the street.“

I appreciated the satay chili and pickled mustards served with the soup. I wouldn't get again as I'm not a fan of curry-tasting soups, but it was nice to try.Crab Fried Rice - very flavorful and generous portions of crab. don't forget to use the lime sauce, completely elevates this dish. This is the one dish I would get again although the fried rice with thai egg omelette sounds really delish too.Penang Curry - not a bad iteration but I didn't love the strong peanut flavor.The pricing is about 33% higher than the average Thai dish spot (say average is $15 so Manaao's is $20). 3 entrees, tax and tip for us came out to $100.Service:The service was good; as it's an intimate space, it was easy to raise our hand and get attention immediately if needed. “These days, I hardly ever make it out to Costa Mesa. However after working a half day, the day before Thanksgiving, I decided to checked this place out for lunch. I believe the last time that I was here, this place was a ramen shop. The restaurant was about only a third full when I got there at about noon. There was only 1 lady that was working the dining area. I was seated promptly and given a menu. It was a warm day and I noticed that the air-conditioning was not on. Good thing I wasn't going to eat anything with hot soup! At first I was going to order one of their lunch specials. Instead I went with their Pad Thai combo when she informed me that the specials was a half portion, but came with salad and steamed rice. I also ordered a Thai iced tea. I noticed that they charged extra for requesting either less ice or no ice. Not sure that I've seen that done anywhere else. The Pad Thai combo came with chicken, beef, pork, and shrimp. Both the ground peanut and bean sprouts were at separate corners of the plate, so I stirred everything together before I started digging in. It was not bad. However, I'm not sure that I would make another special trip out this way just to eat here.“

Also veggies were overcooked for me. I ordered Steak that came with rice and veggies . Veggies were on the soft side and rice was a wet paste. The bottom half of the container looked like a clear thick paste. You couldn't see any rice grains. I think this food was edible and pretty healthy. But way over prepared and bland. I hate writing these kinds of reviews .. but maybe they will change it and help their business! I would try this at a different time.
