I started going because my mom told me that my grandparents used to have a hot dog shop in this same store, decades ago. The service is always so friendly, and they always remember my breakfast sandwich order, even if it's been a long time since my last visit here. When I bring these to work my coworkers love them (maple, glazed cinnamon roll have been the winners in taste tests). My mom's favorite is a chocolate old fashioned, and when she just visited she repeatedly said it is the best old fashioned she has ever had. In fact we went back 3 times in the span of 5 days because my parents liked it so much, haha. Even at 4:30 on the way to the airport, they're open. Great location, so friendly, and so delicious. When I first started going here I was a little shocked by the line, wondering if it was worth the wait. The line moves quickly, and it's definitely worth the wait!“

“My partner and I went in around a quarter after 8AM on a Saturday. There was a small line, and it was out the door, but we did not wait long. Firstly, I just want to say the the service was great. The ladies behind the counter were very attentive and really friendly. Absolutely all smiles. The seating area was decently sized and you can fit in a few people if you just want to stay inside and have your breakfast. We opted for the croissant sandwiches, number 3 to be exact. We weren't expecting them to be huge, but be warned, they are! You can easily split half if you aren't keen on a big sandwich. It was delicious and well worth it. I think we will try the same one next time, but with bacon. We also got a delicious Vietnamese coffee and it was sweet and strong! If you aren't used to it, just a heads up. We did purchase half a dozen donuts prior to this day, and it was all delicious. They even threw in a few extra donut holes! Definitely will have to try the other variety of donuts they have. “KD's is by far one of the best donut shops here in Chula Vista. I have been going there now for about three years and I have never been disappointed unless they were closed or on vacation. I have tried most of their donuts. My two favorites are the apple fritter and the maple bar and I pick up at least a dozen of the donut holes for my four Belgian malanois dogs I will continue to make this my go to place not only the donuts spectacular, the owners are usually there every time I go.
