“The clam chowder was good, as was the gemelli (twisted noodle) seafood pasta in basil cream sauce (a solid 4/5). Maybe it needed a little more fish and sauce on the noodles. The halibut was cooked well, but the Nawlins seasoning was too forced. I was hoping for sea bass, but I didn’t see it on the menu the day we were there. Our server was terrific. Make reservations for 5:15 if you want a guaranteed window seat inside overlooking the boats. Take your time before dinner and enjoy oyster shots or oysters Rockefeller if you prefer them cooked.“
“I recommend the Sand Dabs and Trout Amandine for the best value for your money. They are delicious and satisfy a hungry appetite. If you order the cioppino, depending on the day, you may have to order something else or ask for more bread. Overall, great ambience, service and food. Also Jim, the manager, is customer focused and wants to ensure every patron is happy with their experience.“
“Stayed at this hotel for 8 days. Restaurant is expensive but they have exceptional customer service and high quality food. Happy hour was reasonably priced. One morning, we had Avocado toast and it was made with Burrata Cheese, super fresh field greens and Heirloom tomatoes. Food prep and presentation was also exceptional. Probably the best Avocado Toast I’ve had at a restaurant….Happy hour guacamole, nachos and Brussel sprouts were also very good - maybe only 4-star… but reasonably priced and service here is just exceptional. One night we ordered smoked old fashions… and they were very good! Watch out Eddie Vs, you’ve got competition on the other side of the Bay. ;-)I think we’ll order those old fashions again before we leave. Hopefully Oscar will be our server again.“
“Such a beautiful spot in Coronado, with a large front patio great for people watching and enjoying our perfect SD weather. We come specifically for the Korean prime skirt steak - it is so good!!! Great and attentive service, modern and light ambiance, beautiful location and excellent food and drinks.“
