“What to say!? This spot has got it all. Indoor eating with beautiful art on the wall, delicious food and an extensive wine menu to try. I ordered and lives their large pozole (pictured) which is a red pork or chicken stew with a rich broth. They also serve delicious horchata. I'm definitely returning!July '22 update: ordered the plantain pastor burrito ($12) and it was delicious. Confirmed as well that the pozole is amazingly rich with flavors of oregano, red onion, hominy and lime“

“Went here to try the SF restaurant week menu. It has a very nice atmosphere and the food is presented well. I felt that the experience missed the mark a bit though considering the prices. The menu is authentic Mexican but the flavours were lacking. For example, in the hibiscus margarita, the hibiscus was soo diluted compared to one you would get at a nice restaurant in Mexico. And it was similar for the food… the flavours were lacking. The duck on the menu was nice but too salty, while the dessert was too sweet. Our specific server seemed inexperienced but other staff were very attentive. In summary, I was hoping for the flavours to better match what I get in Mexico.“

“Tasty mexican food in North Beach. It was pretty early - like 5:30 pm - and the place was empty, so the orders delivery was fast. We had a burrito (big!) and some tacos with carne asada (portion of three), a cheese enchilada and tacos with guacamole. Everything was really tasty, maybe a little hard to digest (more than other mexican experiences) but I have to say I was really hungry and I ate fast. This food plus two margaritas was like 72$ without tip and I think it’s pretty expensive (it was the most expensive dinner in a almost two weeks trip in and around San Francisco so I think it’s something worth to say). Not so happy with that.Other things: the neighborhood is pretty great, the location is just okay (it doesn’t recall authenticity but it looks more like a franchise fast food); service is a bit cold but kind so nothing to whine about (it’s just an observation). So yeah if you’re hungry, price it’s not a problem and you aren’t looking for a “traditional” kind of thing, this is the place!“

“As soon as my husband and I walked in, the owner welcomed us with a warm smile. We both tried the cheeseburger, the fries, the chicken nuggets, and jalapeño poppers. The food was delicious and the service is excellent. We will definitely be back the next time we visit.“

“Well, I discovered this small place in the heart of San Rafael and pffff I fell in love with the cuisine that led me to remember my mother's food in my beautiful Mexico. I'm sure I'll come back to try more of the menu but today I tried some carnitas and asada picaditas and their super tasty horchata water, I fell in love with this little place“

“Very cool ambiance! The cocktails were well crafted and the food was really flavorful! Only a few cons- the music was a bit loud so sometimes it felt like shouting to have a conversation and it was a bit surprising to only get one taco per serving for the price - but it was a very good taco (the saffron chicken).“

“Great food, great staff and vegetarian options. Just ask and they can accommodate. The hangover breakfast burrito is one of my favorite dishes here. Tortillas are handmade and super yummy.Vegetarian options: They can make some dishes vegetarian. They can add mushrooms and other veggies so your options are not just limited to cheese enchiladas and quesadillas.“

“These breakfast burritos are A DEAL!!!!No where in SF have I gotten such a great meal at Texas prices... In the Bay area!?Loved the breakfast burrito and breakfast bowl. The coffee is delicious and their bar setup is ultra cute.In fact the entire spot is well decorated and clean. We had great sest where we were people watching inside and chatting. It's located very close to all the big tourist sites and so quick. Perfect for on the go meal and very filling.Their hot salsa is... fantastic and. You better ask for two.“

“Powell Station is footsteps away making Tropisueno my "go to" restaurant when I am near Union Square. The menu selection is diverse, which is great, but the last 2 times I have eaten there the service has fallen below satisfactory. I am bewildered as to why, seeing that they have far more wait staff than most restaurants.“

“Colibri is a Mexican bistro right close by the sea. It's a beautiful place for a hot meal in their outside court. The sun can fall into your eyes and start toasting you, so stick to those covered tables if possible. Keep in mind that although it's upscale, it is traditional and sticks with its roots. Not the kind of traditional that someone from the South is used to.Really great quality food. The spice was a big wake-up call for me. The drinks are fun (they put one of their cocktails in a peacock glass!) and they make sharing easy.“

“De lo más auténtico. I felt like I was in Sanahcat, Mexico eating in an abuelita’s kitchen. Amazing, real, legitimate Mayan indigenous food. This did my whole heart good. I was not expecting this much deliciousness and yet that’s what I got. (We shared a salbute, a tamal and an order of cochinita pibil for the two of us.) Almost all of the clientele when we were there was Yucatec Maya (the guys at the table next to us were chatting in Maya). Utz tin t’aan.“

“Vegetarian options: They have specific items on the menu for vegetarians, and I never had an issue with meat getting into my burritos. They dont sacrifice quality when it comes to their serving speed. All of the staff are friendly, and they serve food two blocks from Union Square. It is very convenient.“

“I'm from Toronto and I loved my experience at Barrio! Mikey is fantastic! His personal touch and explanation of our tequila flight was exemplary. He introduced us to tequila that are better than anything we've tasted before (and we've tasted alot) The blue shell tacos and nachos were fantastic. We looking forward to coming back here next time we in San Fran.“

“Wanted tacos after weekend of camping. This was closest place on way home. Park under sketchy overpass area. Line out the door. Reasonable prices. Had 5 chicken tacos dorados plus side of sour cream and guac(don’t bother ordering the guac). Came with nacho chips plus red and tomatillo salsa. Total was $12. Lots of food for the money. Nothing exceptional but good and seems very popular among locals.“

“Best masa I’ve had on the west coast. They grind the corn flour right there and make every single taco fresh each order. There divine fresh homemade hot sauces! The al pastor was excellent - flavorful, juicy, and even lean! FWIW, I have a sensitive tummy to high acid and high fat foods, and I had no problems what so ever. My bf has zero stomach issues and also thought it was divine. Even the sangria was creative, thoughtfully crafted, and delicious. Going back!“

“So delicious with kind attentive service. I got the combo plate and each item was yummy. Usually it's a sea of beans with a blob of rice as a side note, but the beans and rice were stars themselves. The main choices were full of flavor and not overloaded with cheese and extra garnishes. We will definitely return if we are back this direction.“

“The best place in San Francisco for a first date! I an a transwoman but i date across the gender spectrum. Flores is something very special. A Mexican restaurant such as one might find in the Zona Rosa or Coyoacán in Mexico City -- the hippest places in North America. Basic dishes but done light and original. Try the pozole for a wakeup. Reasonable price. Great service. Fab drinks... be careful after your second marg. But take your date's hand and look soulfully in their eyes over the guac...“

“They are located in the Ferry Building and offer seating both inside and outside with a view of the bay. I recently tried their chicken wings, which were so delicious—I highly recommend them! In general, their food is always delicious, and the service is very good.“

“Zapatos (their version of burritos) are great. Beer selection is wide and overall, the vibe is pretty nice here. However, the front staff really want to leave by closing time; meaning, they start passively asking people to leave an hour+ before closing time. Not normally a stickler for service, but I experienced being shooed out on multiple occasions so I thought it might be worth mentioning that FYI not the most hospitable.“

The staff is so nice, welcoming and friendly! The customers are very respectful, and although it was not empty, people talking in the perfect volume of voice. I hate loud places. It’s our new favorite place in town.“

“Friendly and accommodating service. Requested a few ingredients off my food (no sour cream and their hot red sauce in place of pico de gallo in a Carnitas crispy flat top burrito). They give you options for bean choice and I love refied beans in a burrito! Carnitas were crispy and flavorful. Burrito was crispy and all ingredients tasted really good and fresh! Their red sauce is really good. I am dead inside so it did not feel spicy to me, but if you are not a fan of spicy sauce you can customize your order. Most importantly and what made me love this burrito is that there is not an overwhelming rice stuffed burrito! I am from Southern California and we are not down with rice burritos, sorry SF locals, that is just not my thing. So if you want a burrito that is mostly protein (meat and beans) this place is a great choice. Service was quick food portions are great and in my opinion well worth the price especially in this area. Will definitely come back and try other dishes in this cozy corner of Lower Nob Hill! Buen Provecho and Tip your lovely Service Peeps!“

“Another review here complains about being called "boss" too many times - in my opinion - that would have only elevated the experience. Great burritos, great horchata, fair pricing, and overall solid meal. 9.5/10, but would be a 10/10 if I got called "boss."“

“Today's lunch: Mexican bowl with carnitas as the choice of meat. It's the super burrito filling served over romaine lettuce - for when I want to skip the tortilla wrapper. Nothing wrong with the tortillas, just nice to have a variation sometimes. If I want something smaller, than a regular burrito, I'll go with a super taco. The staff are super friendly and the shop is well-maintained. You can eat in, there are a number of tables and chairs and even a working TV. I visited before the lunch rush and almost had the place to myself. But I've been here when I've had to wait in line to place an order and then wait for the order - they do get slammed. Haven't tried any of the deli sandwiches or breakfast items... yet!“

“A very tasty and delicious authentic Mexican spot to grab some grub. They have some healthier options on the menu for those that are trying to keep health conscious while eating outside. Definitely try the pork burrito and ask them to make it spicy! It was super tasty. The portion size is also quite large. The staff was super friendly and willing to accommodate our requests. “Cute place on polk with good indoor and outdoor space. It is dog friendly outside and well equipped with outdoor heaters. Food was delicious, service was alright and ambiance was cute. We started with guacamole and chips, along with cocktails. It was all delicious (i had cocktails here before and all was on par and delicious). Had pescado tacos for dinner. Slaw was a nice touch with the fried cod . We ended the night with churros. Total came to $55/person. Pretty sf standard i guess. Will be back.“

“I love this place! After a day of walking around North Beach and Chinatown, I discovered Zorro among the hustle and bustle of all the eateries along Columbus St. I wanted something quick, delicious and filling, so I ordered the Birria Tacos. All I can say is WOW, they hit the spot! The meat was juicy and tender, the tortillas were perfectly warm with a little crisp and the salsa tasted like it was made in someone's home kitchen. I washed everything down with a big 'ol michelada and happily continued on my way. Thanks Zorro Taqueria for serving me up proper, I will definitely be back!“

“The surf and turf burrito is well worth the hype here. All of the cocktails are delicious, you really can’t go wrong. Playa has a great atmosphere inside and a back patio. Good clean classic Hispanic favorites like the carnitas plate, all kinds of tacos, and various plates. My only feedback…$19 for chips and guac…cmon guys. We are definitely regulars here. If you can catch taco Tuesdays, try to get there early!“

“Great food choices. This is an order-at-the-counter place, so no table service, but the workers were kind and responsive. And the food came out very fast. Sitting outside is probably preferable for atmosphere but we came in a cold day and sat inside which was just “OK.”“

“Our office's fav place for gatherings lately. Good food, serves alcohol, inside is okay but the big draw is the large outside setting area. Google Maps has this located on Market, but go around to the back via 2nd Street to find the patio and entrance.“

“Hey, y'all! I visited Maya's on a coworkers suggestion and I was very pleased! I ordered the Carnitas Burrito, and it was GOOD! I asked for light rice and light on the beans. The tortilla was crusty and brown. I ate it about an hour later, and the Burrito ? was still in good "chomping" shape. ? It was not damp or mushy. I almost ordered the nachos, but did not want to be greedy. ? That'll be my choice on the next visit. I have passed by the establishment before, but I just did not have the time to visit. The staff (lady at the register) was nice and helpful with my questions. It's a must stop!Parking: Busy spot with other businesses nearby. Folks were parked in the street to place orders.“

“This is everything you want from fast casual Cal-Mex, with extensive huevos options that will cure your hangover and keep you going all day. What really sets it apart is the rotisserie chicken, the tenderest and tastiest you will ever find. You can get it with tortillas and sides for a full family dinner to go, or you can do what I did and pull all that tender meat off the bones and then boil them into a wonderful broth and put the meat back with some vegetables for the most robust and healing chicken soup ever.“

“Always an amazing experience here! The people are kind and always get the order right. The burritos will run you about $12 but huge and I can always get two meals. I ask for them to cut it in half and bag it separately. That way i take half to work or something else. Street parking only“

“I ordered the macho burrito with steak and black beans. As soon as I got a few bites into it, I realized there is a reason this restaurant has been here for decades. It was delicious and packed with meat. The salsa which came with our chips was also fresh and tasty. As good as the burrito was, it paled in comparison to the service we received. "Leo" is an energetic and hospitable worker and we later found out that he is the owner. What a genuinely nice person! We will definitely make this a regular stop when we're in the neighborhood. Actually, we'll go out of our way to come here as well!“

“I recently had the pleasure of trying the chocolate cake, and it was a true delight. The cake itself was incredibly moist and had a deep, luscious chocolate flavor that was simply irresistible. “I got the Carne Asada “Deluxe” burrito for $15. Burritos be getting pricey everywhere honestly but local joint beats a Chipotle, for me.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ overall taste, was very delicious and it was pretty big, it had a fair portion of meat but wish it had more. The flavors were balanced and savory but it lacked in spice for someone who really enjoys spicy (and it was extra spicy they said). For me it beats something like Chipotle in flavor and price. There’s a 10% discount if you are a local student in the area.“

“Listen. We all workout and eat healthy. Except when we don't. Not shaming - just being honest. We do that here. When I am not eating a protein topped salad, veggie scramble with cheese, or protein shake for brunch, it means I am going to save those calories for a dinner that counts for OMAD. This is where my one meal of the day came from today. I ordered delicious carnitas and my husband had quesabirria from here for a previous order which motivated tonight's order. Tonight I had the chicken Suiza enchilladas and my husband had the quesabirria tacos - again. My enchiladas were perfect. The Suiza sauce was fresh and tangy, the pieces of chicken were so tender, and the soft gluten free corn tortillas had a lovely texture to the bite. The smooth refried black beans were medium spicy and the rice was nice and fluffy. Husband ate the fire roasted salsa with fresh hot chips. I could feel the heat through the sack and hear how crisp they were (chips are meant to be eaten loudly without offense) The entrees are really special. It definitely has that home made taste - not like a taqueria, more like what a mom lovingly cooks for her family ...or a chef armed with heirloom family recipes. I never visited the restaurant so I can't speak to the ambiance. We ordered everything to be delivered by DoorDash. Thankful for thoughtfully prepared, delicious hot food that I can taste those things mentioned above. Perfection. Fiver.“

“We had a wonderful dining experience here on a Wednesday evening. It was very busy and the wait for a table of 5 was long, so we sat at the bar table which turned out to be awesome. The staff was super friendly and they even gave our kids crayons/activities.The food was excellent. My wife is hard to please when eating out…she was impressed with the flavor, presentation and quality of food. Best tortillas. The kids loved their chicken burritos and my Enchiladas plate was delicious. We had the Ice cream Sunday to top it off.The food and staff here are top notch. All smiles and such a great vibe. If you are in Corte Madera check them out!“
