“Located in the Presidio, Dalida has THE BEST pita bread ever! Trust me, you'll want to order an extra to enjoy with the hummus that comes with the dish "breaking bread". Dalida expertly cooks their lamb, I highly recommend ordering the lamb shoulder. Another dish that I also enjoyed was the octopus, which is plated artfully. One dish that didn't meet my expectations was the chicken. I was hard to cut and wasn't cooked throughly. Our waitress was super gracious and took the chicken back and had the kitchen fire up a new one, which was also just meh. Give this place a try, I'd just not order the chicken. Parking is fairly easy and there's outdoor dining for those rare non freezing cold SF days.“

“Lovely atmosphere, very good flavors, and attentive service...at times TOO attentive.I was in town for a conference and decided to just have one solo, quiet meal to take a break. It's just the right noise level - bustling enough to feel safe and comfortable, but not so loud as to not be able to hear myself talk. The food was quite good. I loved my lamb dish. But the kale I got on the side was inedibly salty. I ate a few bites but couldn't keep going. Usually the wait staff would have asked if I didn't enjoy it or something if a dish was barely touched but here they did not, and just took it away. They did, however, spend almost 3 minutes recommending and describing half the menu. It was too much, especially because I didn't even ask for recommendations. I was also trying to relax with headphones in and watch a video while eating my meal, but the server kept coming by to ask me how everything was when I clearly had headphones in.The Sesame dessert was interesting and excellent!“

“Food was amazing also the vibes in this restaurant are spectacular it's very lively. I had ended up having a cocktail over wine of course the gimlet there was bomb I ended up having two. Service was overly great I must say like a little too great not saying that I don't like to be checked up on but any given moment things were cleared and we were asked how is everything ...glasses were always full. The potatoes were alright and the brussel sprouts the same. I wasn't really digging the beef short rib but the agnolotti dal plin ugh was so good I will come back just for this.“

Don't worry, you'll be full by the end lolDietary restrictions: They ask you when about allergies and restrictions when you sit down so you'll be fine unless you have a seafood allergy“

“Tasty mexican food in North Beach. It was pretty early - like 5:30 pm - and the place was empty, so the orders delivery was fast. We had a burrito (big!) and some tacos with carne asada (portion of three), a cheese enchilada and tacos with guacamole. Everything was really tasty, maybe a little hard to digest (more than other mexican experiences) but I have to say I was really hungry and I ate fast. This food plus two margaritas was like 72$ without tip and I think it’s pretty expensive (it was the most expensive dinner in a almost two weeks trip in and around San Francisco so I think it’s something worth to say). Not so happy with that.Other things: the neighborhood is pretty great, the location is just okay (it doesn’t recall authenticity but it looks more like a franchise fast food); service is a bit cold but kind so nothing to whine about (it’s just an observation). So yeah if you’re hungry, price it’s not a problem and you aren’t looking for a “traditional” kind of thing, this is the place!“

“Zombie Village delivers an authentic tiki experience that expertly avoids the cliché, creating an atmosphere that's both sophisticated and spirited. The Desert Oasis stands out with its masterful blend of flavors, a true testament to the bar's dedication to quality and creativity. The setting is just right for any occasion, whether you're out for a lively evening with friends or looking for a cozy corner on a date.A nod to Echo behind the bar, her expertise adds to the charm of the place. The service is as smooth as the cocktails are delicious, making every visit memorable. Here’s to Zombie Village for setting the bar high and to the staff, for their part in making each experience better than the last.“
“This spot is so cool. The cocktails are fun and usually pretty amazing. The staff are sweet even when they're stretched thin across a lot of tables. The decor is amazing, and especially for holidays sometimes, but I think I like even more when it's not. They also have some TVs around to watch a game or make conversation about a movie playing, but where they're not overly distracting. Bar and table seating are equally attractive, and it's close to Bart and downtown. Great spot for a group of friends or a more casual date“

“I hadn't been back at this place since the night we watched the fireworks for the Golden Gate Bridge's 75th anniversary ( many years ago, maybe 10). The man by the door was friendly and greeted us. But the bartender was not very friendly and frankly seemed like he would prefer for us to leave. We got an Irish Coffee for the old times to share. It was still great! Drank it quickly, paid and got out of there. Although still a good drink, I rather be somewhere where the staff are a bit more pleasant.“

“Exactly what millennials want and need: reasonable volume music, reasonable priced food and drink, and a classy but fun VIBE.Quality: 4.5Value: 5 (for SF)Service: 4Ambience: 5This place has great happy hour deals and a really great set of decor and music. You can head yourself talk! But the music is also good. What a concept!Service was a little mid; one of the servers wasn't in a great mood/was struggs but the rest were nice, and stuff came out eventually. The cocktails were GREAT! Really delightful choices and prices.Their happy hour deal on oysters is also pretty unheard of: $1.50 each and they were wonderful, briny and creamy.French fries were also great, as was the ceviche. Also, the ceviche we had was one of the best I've ever had.“

“I love this bar/lounge! Upstairs is a quieter area with seating and a bar, but downstairs is the lounge where the live music happens on weekend nights, and this is the place to be! We always have so much fun here. You can even rent out private tables for the live music. This is a great place to drink and dance with young people all the way to older people. I don’t recommend the signature drinks if you don’t like sweet but I like their beers or typical bar drinks. Love this place so much and its tribute to history in Chinatown.“

“Propagation has such a great vibe! I enjoyed sipping my drinks amid the holiday decorations. This year’s Lunar New Year pop-up was a huge success as well as the cocktail menu accompanying it. There is no shortage of fun and tasty food or liquor pop up events. The ambience and decor instantly transports me away from the hustle/bustle of the TenderNob. I can easily spend hours here catching up with friends/co-workers/family as the amusingly named drinks are top notch. The bathroom is always clean and the bartenders are friendly and attentive!“

“What a lovely little spot! We stumbled across this restaurant when we were in North Beach and wanted to get some Italian. It was one of the few spots that was open late. Boy, were we pleasantly surprised! The owner/chef was so charismatic and kind, made us feel taken cared of. He also gave great wine recommendations for our meals. The gnocchi was out of this world, it was like a pillow melting in my mouth. What a great experience especially when you want traditional Italian food. We will definitely be coming back again and trying more of the pasta dishes!“

“We went here on a Saturday night for a quick dinner before attending a private party in their patio area. We got there around 8:15 and were seated immediately. Service was excellent. Cocktails were tasty. We ordered a Cobb salad, two pork belly entrées, and some truffle fries. Everything was delicious. The pork belly came with a buttery polenta. After dinner we moved to the middle patio for a private party and service was awesome. I wasn't sure what to expect and was very pleasantly surprised. We chose tipsy pig because it was convenient and the same place as our party. I highly recommend this Gastropub.“
“3.5 stars - Excellent vibe and drinks. Service was friendly but slow. Food was just ok, and portions are small, so feels overpriced. Joodang is in the tenderloin, so inevitably, the area is a bit sketchy. This didn't stop us because I had been wanting to try this place since it opened! You just have to be careful and aware of your surroundings - nothing surprising if you're familiar with the TL. The exterior is quite unassuming. You could easily walk past it if you're not paying attention. The inside of the restaurant on the contrary is bright, modern, chic and clean. We had an early dinner reservation for 4 people on a Friday night and were cheerfully greeted and seated right away upon arrival. The restaurant quickly filled up, but I appreciated that the tables were comfortably spaced out and it didn't get too cluttered. They have Asian inspired cocktails. We each ordered a different one and they were all both aesthetic and delicious! We also ordered 2 bottles of soju to sip on throughout the meal. Loved how friendly and encouraging the staff was of us keeping the alcohol flowing! :-p Though the food was fine, I'd have to say the drinks were way more memorable than the food. Everything is meant to be shared, but be warned that the portions are quite small. We ordered: - Beef tartar: Tasted fresh, well balanced - Risotto: One of my favorite dishes of the meal. The portion was pretty small though. - Bulgogi tater tots: tbh can't remember what the official dish name was, but it was essentially loaded tots, topped with bulgogi. I enjoyed this dish and its flavors, but didn't find it to be particularly special. - Korean Fried Chicken: Portion size for this was extremely disappointing, as we just received a few wings on a plate. They were flavorful, but not worth ~$18. - Kim Chi Udon: Good flavors. I enjoyed the toppings too - Pork Belly Cheese Doboki - I will not be ordering this again next time. While it sounded promising, this was just way too pricey ($26) for a dish that lacked flavor. And unfortunately, the texture of the rice cake felt like it was microwaved from frozen. I really want to support Joodang still, and I hope they succeed. The staff was super friendly and nice. However, some of our food took a while to come out (which generally is fine), but we had to ask them to check on our order and also for the bill at least 2-3x. With that said, I really hope they can work out the kinks because they have a great concept and a lot of potential.“

“Can only comment on oysters, cocktails and ambiance. Super cute spot, cool bar top - great for photos - we took several. Oysters were great! Fresh and flavorful. “The ambiance here is totally old school San Francisco and an experience in itself. Cozy - okay a bit tavernish - but very welcoming. Drinks are far more reasonably priced than the nearby establishments and tables were full of friends (all ages) socializing or like us waiting to go on to their dinner reservation. Only food is saltines and a wedge of cheese - it's hilarious but works. In a city where so much has become the same with cool restaurants and stylish bars - it's a breath of fresh air - something I never thought I would say. We loved it and will be back.“

“A great place to hang and feel the City Vibe. The bartender could be more welcoming. Yet the owner Kevin and his dog are wonderful. Drinks are full price if you can avoid the drug dealers out front.Lock your car doors and hide your jewelry.but overall a great place for a drink. I miss the old Jezebels joint.“

“I came here for a team happy hour and I have to say, you should definitely make reservations if you are planning on coming with a group because this place fills up pretty fast. We were so thankful we did. While we were there, there were three other groups there with their own reservations. Since this place isn't terribly big, it got really loud and I could barely talk to the person next to me. Maybe it's just because I'm hard of hearing, I'm not sure, but that was a bummer. Once the two hour window for our reservation was over, we moved closer to the bar and that was a lot better. It made a world of difference for us and it made it easier for all of us to talk to each other as a group. Next time I make reservations, I'm going to ask if we have the spot behind it because it's super ideal! The drinks and food were pretty delicious and full of variety which was really nice with all of them being reasonably priced also. Overall, I would definitely come back but just make sure to sit closer to the bar next time!“

“We've been to Wilson & Wilson numerous times and we always have a blast. Reservations are decently easy to get (same-day is often available for small parties) and it's a fun, intimate speakeasy experience. The menu is in a detective's case file, and you can read through the report and sift through the evidence as you enjoy your drinks. Their cocktails are thoughtfully crafted, presented well, and tasty. Prices have gone up recently but nothing egregious. The only downside to Wilson & Wilson is the seating. The entire space only has bar seating, a few high tops for parties of 2, and one larger table (for around 4 people) in the back. All the seats are stools (and not particularly comfy), and the space is decently narrow/tight. Definitely not the best place for a large group but great for an intimate, candlelight night out.“

“I keep thinking this friendly English pub is a lot older than it is, like from the Barbary Coast days. But no, it opened only in 1991 which means I was old enough to have a pint in here back then. Meantime, The Pig & Whistle is among the most familiar and reasonably priced watering holes in the city. It's a place I can pop by as I traverse Geary from the Richmond. I have yet to eat here as I rarely have a hankering in the middle of the afternoon for bangers & mash. However, their menu is a lot more robust and well-rounded with burgers and even Mexican parmigiana, so yes, I should try the food. I'm more lured by the cheap but potent drinks... Like the $5.50 Tequila Sunrise (photo: Lately kind bartender Chris has been making me the $7.50 'Espresso' Martini where he substitutes espresso with coffee and coffee liqueur (photo: Delicious. “All smiles at Barefoot Cafe in Fairfax. They surprised our party of 8 after an amazing hike through Cataract Falls. The service was excellent and the food was fresh and delivered fast to our table. We all were extremely satisfied. A few foodie critics at our table spoke not a word as they gobbled down their sandwiches. I especially appreciated that the staff was extremely accommodating and allowed me to create an order that was not on the menu and it was incredible. I had a grilled chicken and spinach with pesto and sun dried tomatoes on grilled sourdough bread. We will definitely visit again when in the area.“

“Nice to finally find a place to eat real and excellent food in SF as most places up the Pier areas are just fried fried and fried with obligatory French fries. One of us had the salmon which was gorgeous but the chicken pot pie was a revelation with loads of meat and veg with a creamy sort of stroganoff sauce and thin buttery top crust. Given that we had paid paid more for a burger in LA airport on the way to SF having a lovely meal for less was excellent. If you are near the Marina or Fillmore Street area please check it out. Nicest food I have had after 12 days in SF and Los Angeles.“
“This bar is old-school classic, in a good way. It is all wood, leather, brass, and tile. The old-world charm is appreciated by those looking for a low-key place to enjoy a tipple. The bartenders here are generally dressed in relatively classy attire matching the ambiance of the bar. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and mix a mean drink. Sometimes, you can find some rare bottles of booze here that you won't often see in the wild. Rumor has it President Warren G. Harding may have died here and then been secreted back across the street to the Palace Hotel via underground tunnel. This bar is perfect for folks who would like to have a drink in a luxuriously old-school and well maintained bar where you can forget time (there are no clocks inside, nor TVs, also no Wi-Fi.)“
“718 was formerly the Blind Pig, which took over the Cathay House . The bar and seating areas are exactly the same as when the blind pig opened. They're in the process of revamping the drink menu.Drinks:I tried the jalapeño margarita..very tasty, pretty strong drink!. They used mezcal which gave it the smokiness! The bartender made us to try two new bourbon drinks. They haven't named it yet. One was mixed well, not sure what else was in it, but it was topped off with a dehydrated passion fruit. Optically stunning..maybe a just a pinch sweeter and it would be bomb! The second drink was mixed with oolong tea and five spice.. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered a second!Food: we didn't eat but they served snacks: fried wontons, potstickers and fried spring rolls.Ambiance: great space!! Comfortable seating! We were a party of five and had the whole bar to ourselves the entire time we were there. Maybe it's an after dinner spot. The one bartender was great. He served strong drinks and was very attentive. This is my new hidden gem! I will be back to try the new menu soon!“

“This place has been here for YEARS and it’s always been wonderful! If you’re the type who likes to just get a single or a couple slices of a specific pizza, this is that type of pizzeria and it’s frankly one of the best in Marin. Yeah everyone says the west coast can’t do pizza very well compared to NYC or Chicago but I’d say at least give this place a fair try before you judge!“
