“Great local wine bar! Our server was very friendly and gave us a few recommendations, I went with the pinot noir which was delicious! The atmosphere was great, very chill and cozy. I can't wait to come back and try the small bites they offer!“
“Akasha was delightful!! It didn't look like much as you enter but walk through the bar and you've stepped into an open dining space with tables close enough to feel in community but private enough to chat! The food was delicious... we had the avo/beet salad and Caccio e Pepe along with the avo toast appetizer and the blueberry cobbler for dessert. Sitting to note, their happy hour is well worth showing up early for... we did dirty martinis for $10!! The service was on point- Kenny was a gracious host who made us feel cared for! Recommend highly and will be back!“
“There is a long mosaic hand-made collage on the counter, which depicts a vibrant community. In addition to the colorful colors that make people feel warm, the design elements also bring books in and integrate them into the community; as if to tell Everyone, this is a community bookstore that connects the emotions between people in the community through books.Opposite the bookstore is Culver City City Hall. The bookstore has large floor-to-ceiling windows and the interior space is spacious and bright. On weekends, you will see parents bringing their children to the bookstore to have breakfast and read children's books. The bookstore also holds many activities. Today I was very lucky to meet the big doll DOG MAN. Everyone was super happy to see him Everything in his eyes was a group of people A group of friends are chatting here. The bookshelves are full of notes recommending certain books by the store clerks, which is super considerate The display of the bookshelf is also designed and very pleasing to the eye.It provides breakfast, coffee drinks, pastries, books, gifts, cards and a seating area so that everyone can dine and read here. I also saw many parents reading children's books to their children here; the chairs in the seating area are very comfortable and the atmosphere Very nice, the waiters are super friendly and the freshly brewed coffee and brownies are amazing! I love it here and highly recommend it!“
“The very first I came, we were treated like family. That checks off service and quality. AJ and his family, and all the baristas are lovely humans. What's even better is the quality of food and flavors for the pricing. If they can make it your way, the will die trying. My loyalty is forever sealed. I absolutely love this place. Oh yes, before close it must be said, AJ is an absolute chemist when it comes to making your perfect drink. If only they were open on weekends. But since they also sell and grind bulk beans and teas of many varieties, you can get your fix until you can be catered to next week.“
“In A Nutshell:-MillCross is a tiny yet popular coffee bar that serves some good breakfast in a European style setting.-It was a cold & rainy early spring morning recently, that I stumbled into this place after landing at LAX.-I had it bookmarked on my Google Maps for a hot minute.-I'm so glad I had the opportunity to jump inside to try their delicious coffee & breakfast.-I enjoyed their basic breakfast of eggs, toast & potatoes.-Finding a seat is tough since it's pretty packed, but if you do it's worth it to stay & chill.Overall, I like these type of small, cozy European style cafes.“
“Mija has been in my Yelp collection of places to try in Culver. It's in the center at the corner of Sepulveda & Washington. It has a spacious and comfortable outdoor heated patio and a huge indoor space. My first impression when I walked inside was WOW. The aesthetic and decor was stunning. It was comfortable and cozy but elegant and cool at the same time. I was greeted right away by Mel, with a friendly welcome and smile as she showed me to my table where I was meeting a friend for dinner and a few drinks. I'd studied the menu in advance- like I was preparing for the SAT exam, and I was really excited to finally be here. Mel was happy to make a few drink recommendations but being a creature of habit, I went with the strawberry margarita. I've got to tell you guys that the bartender deserves a hug and a raise because it was literally the absolute best margarita I've ever had. (and I've had more than a few). It was made with fresh strawberries, not some of that bottled syrup that you get in most places. After the first sip, I knew there was a second in my future! I was really excited to find out that they serve breakfast items all day, but I was in the mood for something a little bit more savory so we decided to share an order of the chicken nachos to start. Mel told us that everything was scratch made and they'd be happy to accommodate our request to make them with red and green sauce. The nachos came hot from the kitchen and I've got to tell you these nachos are a game changer. Most of the time when you think nachos you think bar food. These nachos were definitely next level! The chips were fresh the cheese was fresh. The chicken was moist and flavorful, and the sauces were definitely freshly made. I could hear the singing coming from my tummy as I was taking every bite. They are fork and knife nachos so you can get every single bite. For my entrée, I decided on Flautas - one potato with chile and one chicken. They were absolutely huge - accompanied by fresh salsa and rice. They were topped with arugula with a very light vinaigrette and pickled red onions. The same delicious moist flavorful chicken and the potato and chili were both delicious. Every single bite was perfect. The flour tortillas they were wrapped in were perfectly golden and deliciously crispy. Of course, at this point, I was on my second margarita because why not? Lucky for me that they didn't have straws because I would've probably had another! Did I mention that we scored $5 Happy Hour prices? Yay! Mija is definitely a place where you can know that every dish is made with intention and love. I'm even more excited about the fact that it's away from the hustle and bustle and chaos that is downtown Culver. It's right in my own backyard and easy to get to with plenty of parking. It's right off of the 405 at Sepulveda so it's easy access from just about anywhere. I don't know why this place is not packed because the quality and flavors of the food are beyond anything I could've expected and the prices are amazing. The service we received from Mel and the talented bartender are definitely worth a shout out. They were friendly customer oriented, and genuinely appreciative of our business. The next time you were looking for a casual place with excellent food and even better service in a great location, you have to come in and give them a try. You won't be disappointed and like me, you'll wonder why it took you so long to finally get there. Mija Handcraft Kitchen - thanks for the amazing food and drinks. It was an exceptional experience and you will definitely see me again soon.“
“The Pastrami burrito was a hearty, but not a cheap breakfast. Loaded with big salty chunks of meat, crispy hash, eggs, and kicked it up a notch with some sliced jalapenos. Careful with the salsa, the green one is mild and smokey, the red one is fire.“
“First time here ever. Experience was overall great. The owner was super friendly, spoke to us and we had a friendly conversation a little about the history of the family owned company business. It was very easy to order. The gentleman was so nice to even give us a sample so quickly to try. Tried the ube brûlée. IT WAS DELICIOUS. It was so good I immediately ordered it. The owner was so nice to accommodate some special requests and addressed our concerns immediately. Nice and friendly staff, smiling owner happy and excited to talk to us. We are not just a number and we can tell he truly cares and passionate about his business, his product, and customers. Will definitely be back. The price point was reasonable. The place was quite small, and busy that weekend with little room and space inside--but busy is good for the business which means a lot of foot traffic. You can place your order on the kiosks for faster service.“
“Solidly four stars. Wish the hours were a bit better since it's next to the metro, but given that it's in the midst of several office buildings totally understand. I always get the habibi latte although it's not as strongly flavored as I wish it would be! Easily accessed by expo line, or can park in ivy lot.“
“I seriously adore this place. The staff, the ambiance, the COFFEE/ESPRESSO just all 10/10. This is high quality beverages by people who care and are knowledgeable about their craft. Definitely my favorite place to go every morning, best coffee in the area.Vegetarian options: It's a cafe that offers baked goods.“
“This time was a little disappointing, not only did my co-worker & I get our food last, and we were the ones who ordered first, but my food wasn't as I asked for, which I asked for over easy eggs. The yolk shouldn't have been cooked all the way........and they always have one person working in the mornings, and it takes about 30-40 min to get your order of eggs.....wish they had more help. ?“
“Pros: person working the register was super nice, cortado was awesome, and they don’t skimp here! The bagel had a ton of lox and cream cheese …Cons: that being said, I have feelings about my cream cheese ratios and it was slathered on waaay too thick for my liking. Also bagel could’ve been better toasted/fresher. A bit of a wait but not bad.“
“Small little coffee shop located next to the best sandwiches ever! I got the Toffee iced latte (FOX) with oatmilk and it was really good. A bit too sweet for me so next time will ask for less syrup. Also got the spinach and cheese croissant for my son and he loved it. I tried it and it had great flavor“
“Soooo yummy. We got the french toast flight (Mr. Presley, banana brulee, smores) and it was....AMAZING. It was sizable but I bet I could've finished it myself if I didn't get another entree. I got the mushrooms & pesto eggs Benedict, also great: lots of flavor and the side potatoes were extra crispy without being greasy. My friend didn't like his bloody mary though, it was too spicy.“
“One of my favorite cafes! They only have pour-over coffees which is my favorite type of coffee anyway. I think Philz hiring practices are on-point, because the servers are always upbeat, friendly, and open for a chat! Once you get coffee here, it’s so nice to be able to go outside on the Culver steps and just haaang and enjoy the sunny So Cal weather. And once the coffee poop time invariably arrives, you can just come back into Philz and use their bathroom.“
“I love it here! They do something to the espresso (steam?) I’ve never seen done before and it tastes amazing, one of the best cups of coffee I’ve ever had in my life. Also, they eliminated tipping which is one of the main reasons I intend to keep coming back. I don’t mind paying a little extra for the coffee.EDIT: they still flip around the iPad and ask for a tip, after paying the inflating price for a plain coffee :( ($7)“
“A few friends and I went here to learn how to make macarons. Side note, Mani's (the chef instructor) macarons were the best I've ever tasted!! Mani was very nice, patient, understanding and accommodating. The whole experience was well organized and we got to take home so many macarons! Our friends and I can't wait to come back and learn more! Thank you, Mani!“
“This coffee shop is very inviting and it’s great to grab a cuppa coffee do some stuff on your laptop and then go onto your day or stay longer as they have Wi-Fi for you to do all your work.Overall a great place to be and it’s in just the right neighborhood for everybody too stop by. It’s a block away from Culver Boulevard and Sepulveda Boulevard on Sepulveda.“

“Outside does not look like much but it is a simple and clean donut shop. The donuts were delicious and freshly made, with a tray or two coming out in the short time that we were there. The apple fritter and cake crumb donuts are highly recommended!“
“Excellent, I come like every Friday, I arrived today, excellent attention, they greeted me, hello, how are you? Can I help you? Something that hasn't happened in two years. I used the bathroom. I was surprised with its excellent cleanliness. Very surprised by the change. Wooo.“
“Young Hispanic guy that helped us was awesome! but his co-workers were a little loud and obnoxious yelling from behind the counter to other coworker in market about their personal life issues while the dude was making all drinks he even had to ask her to move out of his way while he's working and she was just yelling n doing nothing. So the 5 stars go to the young dude that was working today around 3pm. Thanks for my double iced shaken espresso with breve , sfvanilla and venti java chip It was perfect!“
“I’ve had it several times. The coffee is always excellent, the original glazed and the cookie dough cake donut were decent and above average. The female barista with glasses and light brown hair is awesome and super friendly! The stars are for her. Sometimes the other staff does not have the best attitude. That blueberry champagne donut I had today was INCREDIBLE and the best donut I’ve ever had. Definitely worth a try and a 4.5 overall.“
“There’s a dedicated Food and drink dispatcher that makes things so much easier and organized. It’s my first time here but it seemed that everyone that came in was greeted by first name and judging by the entire teams energy I’m not surprised that people come back. I will definitely be coming back.“
“Little hidden gem for boba or tea drinkers here. The quality of drinks is great - tasted really good and healthier than your average boba tea. Menu is so creative. For matcha lovers, this place uses ceremonial grade which makes a huge difference.“
“May 30 2023 This Starbucks location in Culver City is the best! Servers are always super friendly, it's spacious with indoor & outdoor seating, as well as plenty of parking! Lemon Loaf is always my dessert of choice, love it...taking a bite as I type, love the icing! Haha! There's even have a cute sign that says "A Place Where Kindness Is Crafted By The Heart!" All around great vibes!“
“This was an adorable place for pastries and lunch. There is free parking in the structure nearby, and paid street parking around. My partner and I split the Chilaquiles, which was phenomenal with fresh and crisp chips. The pastry we ordered was an apple danish of some sort, and that was delightful as well. You order in the front before self seating, and enjoying a laid-back time with yourself or your friends. The staff were super friendly. The prices were quite high, but understandable for the location and quality of food.“
