“Tanner’s is now the cafe I go to when I’m in the area. The staff are friendly and the food is great! I’ve had their coffee cake which just melts in my mouth and their banana avocado smoothie that’s irresistibly fluffy. Also my friend and I were grateful that we got 1hr of free parking by shopping with Tanner’s!However, I really wish Tanner’s utilized reusable dishes for dine in and paper dishes for dine out. I spoke about this with the barista and they were kind enough to let me know that they’ll pass my message onto the owner. I hope the owner receives it :)“

“Awesome saucesome! The ladies in here were so nice.My gf and I got the apricot jelly?filling?jam? packed croissant which was to die for.Bacon breakfast burrito was stuffed with deliciousness, and came with a little side of salsa.10/10 experience. No wait, I meant 5/5 ⭐️!“
“Greeted with hello's, smiles and prompt service - love that. The chocolate donut with sprinkles, my go-to donut, was not that great, a bit stale but I did go late afternoonThe breakfast sandwich however was great! Piping hot and made to order, there was plenty of bacon, egg and cheese to balance the amount of bagel. The bagel was yummy on its own too.“

“"Sippin from your cup 'til it runneth over..." I heard JT performed at the Wiltern last night for free so I had his music on repeat in my head all day today during work. So of course I had to stop by here as soon as I saw the store name. I did NOT expect to find the best donuts I've ever had in my life. Period. I walked in and was greeted warmly and decided to just order the Original Sin and their version of classic milk. They were so nice and gave me another donut for free which was the Obrama. Everything was so scrumptious. I loved that the donuts weren't too big. The quality of the donut is so good that it only needs to be a smaller size to have the same effect as something larger. The outer texture and the crispness reminded me of the blueberry m&m donuts that they sell in OC where people line up for hours to buy. The donuts here taste better because the inside texture is a lot lighter and isn't as dense so you don't feel disgustingly full afterwards with regrets. I cannot wait to come back and get some for my family and friends. I wanted to test it out myself first prior to sharing with others. Yum! Also their classic milk was soooooo good and complimented the donuts so perfectly.“

“The pre-jam bagel at Layla's is the best thing since sliced bread. Get it on a plain bagel so that the bagel doesn't distract from the taste of the incredible seasonal blood orange and cara cara. Pro tip, grab a wet wipe from the side counter by the napkins dispenser so that you can cleanly devour your honey drizzled, succulent sun-soaked bagel of delight and mumble in joy as nectar-like citrus juices drizzle down the bagel into your waiting mouth. In order of favorites: The pre-jam on plain The marli add bacon or salmon, add tomato on sesame The laika on everything The scarlett on sesame And then, sammy's which is a solid egg n bacon sandwich but not on my list of favorites maybe because we got it on an everything bagel- recommended on a plain. Last thing, but most importantly, the rose petal matcha latte is the best drink in west Los Angeles hands down and I'm still dreaming about it now. *chef's kiss*“

“My partner and I went to the Alfalfa Larchmont location in October of last year on a whim. We wanted to find healthy, clean food for after we hiked to the Hollywood Sign. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious salads and wraps. The donut machine was down at that time, and we really wanted to try the gluten free donuts, so we vowed to visit the Santa Monica location on our next L.A. trip. On Sunday, we achieved that dream and got 3 gluten free donuts- the lavender, maple, and chocolate. My favorite was the maple! I got a buffalo goddess salad and my partner got a cobb wrap. I loved the salad because I am a sweet-potato head hah...I love the atmosphere of this place- the peachy colors and succulent plants. It feels so L.A. (I am saying this fondly as someone who grew up here). Our experience was fun and joyful. Also we recognized the person who served us at the counter (wish I had gotten the name), because it is was the same friendly person from the previous Larchmont trip. I just love this place!“

“This was an adorable place for pastries and lunch. There is free parking in the structure nearby, and paid street parking around. My partner and I split the Chilaquiles, which was phenomenal with fresh and crisp chips. The pastry we ordered was an apple danish of some sort, and that was delightful as well. You order in the front before self seating, and enjoying a laid-back time with yourself or your friends. The staff were super friendly. The prices were quite high, but understandable for the location and quality of food.“

“After I cancelled Starbucks, I was wondering where I was going to get coffee from when I stumbled onto this gem. It’s run by some great men trying to seed into the community. The free food and drinks they place outside for 24/7 access is proof of their hearts. The product is stellar. I’ve had the coffee and tea which were both fabulous. They also get top marks for offering oat milk (current fav). Anyway, please support these hard working people and support Black owned business.“

“This has become my happy place for so many reasons! From their delicious coffee to the dreamy atmosphere and friendly service, Alana’s offers a place of solace for both working as well as kicking back. Featuring their roaster in house for all to enjoy, the passion for their craft is undeniable. For being such a popular spot they manage to encompass a small community feel simultaneously. The coffee is on point, not too bitter, no nasty after taste, beautifully presented and prepared, and consistently flavorful. You can enjoy their coffee at home with their bagged options they’ll ground on the spot for you to prolong freshness, not to mention to the optimal specifications for your coffee making method (again, passion for the craft).Every experience here is a delight, so sit inside and vibe or take in the beachy air outside, and enjoy some terrific coffee or tea!“

“My go-to spot for simple french sandwiches. NEVER DISAPPOINTS! Ive had all of their meat sandwiches and their omelette sandwich. Always so good and fresh. love the crunch of the baguette with their rich butter or their gooey soft omelette. the omelette sandwich is my favorite, because i'm just an egg enjoyer and would prefer breakfast meals over lunch or dinner. I will KEEP on going back here! Also their ice pink praline latte, is a MUST TRY. not overly sweet with a nice floral scent to pair with its creaminess. this place is really a hidden gem in the neighborhood.“

“I arrived on a rainy day and was greeted with the warmest welcome. They made the drinks fast and delicious. The environment was everything and more. Sometimes it gets loud but sometimes it is super quiet like a library where people are focusing. I can thrive in either environment so I enjoy it. Their drinks, their food, and just the staff are so friendly. Now the place itself is such a vibe!! From the cyber car to just the place of comfort to do work is very accommodating. My favorite part is that they provide things to do if you just want to chill from the board games to chess to just sitting comfortably. The only thing is that it does get a bit cold but they have blankets I do suggest one brings a warm jacket, especially during this time of year. When it gets warmer it will be an optimal spot to study, do work, or just enjoy the space. I hope that there are future events soon as well as if there are any part-time positions!! I would apply!!“

“If you're around the area I would suggest visiting this cafe! They have fantastic service and their drinks are always top notch and literally made with love. I usually get their matcha latte or their seasonal drinks if it catches my eyes. Btw their cream topper is always so AMAZING, could literally drink it everyday haha They even sell flowers/plants! It's pretty unique since you can't really find cafes that sells them and they are all so pretty. Plus this cafe has their own merch too. Once I saw their pink tumbler I couldn't help but had to bought it ASAP, such a cute tumbler(The color was to die for)! The baristas are so welcoming and would love to chat with you, they will literally start off your day perfectly :) Also, the parking is pretty small so if you can't find parking I suggest to park in the neighborhood, it'll be a nice short walk :D“

“Cute and friendly cafe inside the SouthBay Galleria. I was looking to try their Nutella Latte, but they had just sold out. Will have to try that on the next visit.I instead went with the Vanilla Rose Latte. It gave me the boost I needed to make it through the rest of the afternoon. The ambience and decor was very inviting, and very much like a neighborhood feel. Reminded me a lot of my neighborhood cafe from when I lived in Leimert Park.“

“This is a cozy, local neighborhood hangout and a great place to meet up to grab a bite and a latte. My favorite is the egg in the hole avocado toast. So satisfying and delicious. The service is always friendly. Some days takes longer than others to get your food so if in a rush, try ordering ahead. Also, parking is notoriously bad in this court so I recommend parking in the VA lot and walking over.“

“Coffee for $5 total! And it’s not small! They also accommodate my service dogs and have never complained. I randomly ended up here after going to ground coffee down the street. They wouldn’t accept cash and it made me so angry that I walked down to this shop, being a loyal customer ever since. I don’t even drink coffee (maybe once a year, when I need the energy for a crazy day) but it tastes that good I keep coming here weekly. Staff members are amazing and deal with a lot while keeping up with the rush. They can get busy at times! It’s definitely a popular place. There’s two small tables outside to sit at and you order at the window outside. It’s cute and has a friendly atmosphere. They have rewards so after 10 coffees you get a freebie. Love this place“
“I recently tried Stereoscope's pour-over coffee, and I must say it was top-notch. Their specialty coffee selection is truly exceptional. One of my favorites is the Guatemala, which offers a delightful blend of flavors including strawberry, grape juice, heavy body, and fudge notes. The brewing process and attention to detail really shine through in every sip. I highly recommend giving Stereoscope's pour-over a try if you're looking for a premium coffee experience.“

“I'm travel for work and pleasure and I'm always looking for a coffee shop with good vibes. In the US, it's rare to find a black woman owned coffee shop that also roast their own beans! These ladies know their beans! You will feel welcome when standing outside, and then when you go in, the love will comfort you like a hug. “Visited last weekend with a friend - what a pleasant experience. I got the sesame caramel latte and i like how it had a hint of the sesame flavor but wasn't overly sweet. It was subtle without tasting like just water. Service was super friendly and funny. I felt like i was visiting an old friend who started working at a coffee shop or something. Helped us pick out a few items cause we were indecisive. Layout is soooo cute. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere part of culver city but it's a walk away from other food places and has nice seating indoors and outdoors. Very cute graphic design and interior. “I was introduced to Sidecar Doughnuts in 2017. I have been a fan since. My favorite donut from them remains to be the Saigon Cinnamon Crumble. It is more of a cake-like texture and I like almost anything cinnamony. This donut tastes more like coffee cake. Coffee and sugar are my staples for everyday living. So, it is almost impossible for me not to love this donut as it has my basic necessities wrap up in one perfect little package! This time I ordered the Vietnamese ice coffee to go with the donut. It didn't taste like a traditional Vietnamese ice coffee. Instead, it tasted more like an iced latte. So if you are looking for a traditional Vietnamese ice coffee, don't get it from there. Don't get me wrong, it was still good coffee just not what the name said it was. This location is off Wilshire Blvd in Santa Monica about 7 blocks from the beach. I really like their packaging as well. The boxes the donuts come in are modern and simple with bold gold letters of the store's name. This location is small and has seating outside. There is metered parking on the street. Service was just okay. I wish the people working there could have been more friendly. All in all, this premium donut chain that started in Costa Mesa in 2012 is still very popular and is definitely worth trying for the first time, and going back for me!“

“There are many best coffees I’ve ever had because variability is only so high, but this is tied for it.This might sound weird but their “cream top” drink is “engineered” perfectly. It’s a homemade whipped cream that is more liquid than typical. It sits on top of a bold cold brew. There are two reasons this is perfectly engineered: 1) The ratio of cream layer to coffee layer, the consistency of the cream, and the cup’s mouth opening make for a consistent sip each time. The same amount of sweet cream and coffee enter your mouth each time you drink. And the cream is perfectly sweet. 2) Since the coffee is bold and flavorful and the cream slowly mixes with it, you don’t get that experience of coffee that tastes bland relative the flavorful cream you’ve just tasted.Perfect cold coffee drink.“

“The Menemen eggs were really good. My only wish to make them better would be to have it made with 2 eggs instead of one. The smashed eggs on toast was also delicious. “I have always felt like an outsider because of how strict my eating habits are with choosing to only eat organic foods. If it’s not available I choose not to eat. It’s a way of life for me and my family (very close to a religion for us). Finding your restaurant today was such a great moment. Finding others that take what we eat just a serious is amazing. I ate there for lunch and had the tofu. It was great. I can’t wait to see more locations. So proud to stand behind your brand. Keep up the great work!!“
“There is a long mosaic hand-made collage on the counter, which depicts a vibrant community. In addition to the colorful colors that make people feel warm, the design elements also bring books in and integrate them into the community; as if to tell Everyone, this is a community bookstore that connects the emotions between people in the community through books.Opposite the bookstore is Culver City City Hall. The bookstore has large floor-to-ceiling windows and the interior space is spacious and bright. On weekends, you will see parents bringing their children to the bookstore to have breakfast and read children's books. The bookstore also holds many activities. Today I was very lucky to meet the big doll DOG MAN. Everyone was super happy to see him Everything in his eyes was a group of people A group of friends are chatting here. The bookshelves are full of notes recommending certain books by the store clerks, which is super considerate The display of the bookshelf is also designed and very pleasing to the eye.It provides breakfast, coffee drinks, pastries, books, gifts, cards and a seating area so that everyone can dine and read here. I also saw many parents reading children's books to their children here; the chairs in the seating area are very comfortable and the atmosphere Very nice, the waiters are super friendly and the freshly brewed coffee and brownies are amazing! I love it here and highly recommend it!“
