“I've been wanting to try this place and so finally got to try it with my husband on a Friday night. No wait got seated right away. We ordered: #6: Half ja-jang myeon/half jjam bbong - I've never had jjam bbong so I got the combo and I didn't see the chili sign coz mannn that was spicy! But I love the flavor. I actually preferred it than ja-jang myeon Fried rice with spam, kimchi - not spicy and has enough flavor Soy garlic chicken - it was dry, even the sauce couldn't really save the dryness. Flavor is good but wish it wasn't dry. Good portions and affordable for Korean food.“
“We were craving skewers but ended up here by chance. Well-known for the dry pots but we ended up ordering items that were far from it. We ordered lamb and beef skewers, smashed cucumbers, beef roll, dan dan noodles, wontons in chili oil, XLB, and custard buns. It was quite busy on a Saturday night, and the food did not disappoint. Plenty for 3 people to share. The highlight were the beef rolls, despite being small in size they were packed in flavor and crispiness. A runner-up would be the XLB, super thin wrapper and lots of juice/filling inside which was perfect for a cold night.“
“Thank goodness for Pho Cafe and its proximity to my home. There's really nothing else in Daly City so Pho Cafe is a lifesaver! I've been here with my partner probably 4 times at this point, and each time we leave feeling full and satisfied without breaking the bank. It's a pretty unassuming place, but clean and organized. We typically order #1, which is $13 for a regular size and $15 for a large. For the price, the value is really good. A generous portion of noodles and meat. My only gripe is that the broth is not as rich and full-flavored as some other pho places I've had. One time we went, the broth was extremely fatty like it hadn't been strained which was obviously distracting. I could also use more bean sprouts and lime than they give. Overall can't complain though, decent bowl of pho.I also really love the #1 banh mi ($10). I love that they load it up with carrots and radish, but it could use more cilantro and cucumber. I do love the pate and whatever shrimp paste or salty goodness they use. Soooo good, especially on soft warm bread.Service is friendly and prompt. Parking can be a struggle in this lot so make someone else drive. I will definitely be coming back when the craving hits, approximately once every 2 weeks.“
“Quality food. However very limited vegetarian options. Spring rolls and the dry noodles (pictured) are the only vegetarian dishes. The dry noodles have no sauce or seasoning. Was just boiled vegetables and noodles! I believe the mushrooms are supposed to impart the flavor. It was hard to eat. They also didnt have any house table sauces. One star less for the vegetarians. Vegetarians should skip this place. Otherwise food quality is good ?“
