No reservations allowed, but you add your name to the check in list. Took about 30 minutes to get seated for a group of 4 (we arrived at 11am and were seated just after 11:30). We were seated in an outdoor tent that was a bit hot from the sun (no ventilation). Friendly servers and they were definitely busy. Were prompt on refilling mimosas though! However, there was a hiccup upon arrival... despite having made reservations a week in advance, a table was not ready for us when we arrived on time. Nonetheless, the staff swiftly resolved the issue. We ordered vegetable egg rolls and tuna tower for appetizers. For mains we ordered grilled lamb chops, braised short ribs, pad see ew, kao soi, carbonara spaghetti and pad kee mao. For dessert, we ordered mango sticky rice and ice cream with caramelized banana. Everything was tasty and well plated. For drinks we ordered lycheetini, hot sake, hibiscus refresher, pink lady and empress cocktail. Everyone enjoyed their drinks. The straws came with a little cute decorative paper flower on top We were celebrating a birthday and they brought out candles lit in a small chandelier on top of ice cream. It was a sweet touch to an already memorable evening. Overall, while there was a minor setback in the beginning, the dining experience was enjoyable, making it a recommended spot.“

Personally I had the cheesy katsu on a sizzling hot plate which was quite a sight and tastes pretty good. My party had sushi and ramen which are ok but the broth is not complex flavor-wise. The draft beer in frosted mugs is refreshing and goes very well with the katsu. Service is friendly and lots of drink options from sake to soju to ramunes. I was with two of my counterparts as we were working in the area (I am from Florida, one counterpart from Las Vegas and the last from Visalia) and we had dumplings, kung pao chicken, sweet and sour pork, Mongolian beef with combination rice. “We are always looking for great Chinese food. We have lots of places that we go for Chinese food and most of them are very average. 5 of us ate dinner here a couple of weeks ago. Every dish we had was well prepared, tasty, and flavorful. Mongolian beef, Szechuan pork, lemon chicken, pork fried rice, chow menu were all great. I particularly loved the pot stickers. So many times they are kind of doughy and seem undercooked. These were light, nicely browned and crispy on the outside. Probably the best potstickers I've ever had and I've had a lot. Can't wait to come back.“

I ordered the Green Curry with chicken and it lacked the depth of flavors that I was expecting. The portion size was also quite small for the price.The ambiance of the restaurant was also a letdown. The music was too loud and the lighting was too bright, making it difficult to have a conversation or feel relaxed. Additionally, the tables were too close together, making it feel cramped and crowded.On a positive note, the restaurant does offer a good selection of vegetarian options and the staff was accommodating to my dietary preferences. However, overall, I was unimpressed with my dining experience at Kacha Thai. I have had better Thai food at other restaurants for a similar price. In my opinion, there are better options out there for Thai cuisine.“

Over all i like this place. Seeing so many reviews about food poisoning is a little concerning to me, so I request the owner to double click on that and address those concerns. I haven’t had such a bad experience but these reviews can overshadow the great concept, food and taste this place offers especially the katti rolls which is a rare find in the bay area.“

Food has been consistently delicious over the years and the restaurant is actually more of HK Cafe these days which is perfect since those are pretty rare in the pleasanton/dublin area. Food is a bit pricey (honestly all Chinese food is pricey these days for some reason) but at least the quality here warrants it in my opinion. The waitress aunties are super friendly and attentive and the interior is clean and modern (recently remodeled). However sometimes when it gets busy, which it often does during peak hours, the food can take a bit longer to come out. I feel like they are slightly understaffed. Some of my favorites: I love how they put baby octopus in their baked seafood rice. They also do a somewhat different take on the chili oil wonton and its insanely good. For drinks, their HK milk tea, lemon tea, and red bean ice are on point!“
