“Ikes is always fire. Beast mode, Phil Mickelson, and the jamie sirewich are my go to's. The Dutch crunch is the best sandwich bread in town. Add avo to your beast mode it's so good. The manager is incredibly friendly and has made this location a lot of fun to go to. I went in and asked about blue raspberry blow pops and like a week later they had them in the bags. They listen to their customers and that's big to me. Always a lover of Ikes. Will always go back when I want a sandwich.Friend got a paul Reubens and it looked awesome. “Great restaurant. Relatively quick service (~5 mins for one sandwich). Like someone else mentioned, it smells great as soon as you walk in. Patient and polite service as I needed a few minutes to look over the menu. While large menus can be a bad sign, you can see them making everything fresh to order. I got the Reuben and it had a lot of meat, great bread, great sauerkraut. Definitely will return“

“Can’t believe it took me this long to find this restaurant. The portions were massive af and the sandwiches are really tasty. Big amounts of every topping and meat, can’t go wrong with anything you order. I ordered the Dapper Dipper (roast beef, swiss, tempura onion, horseradish, au jus) and he got the Rich Boy (chipotle chicken, avocado, monterey jack, lettuce, tomato, onion, garlic mayo). Both were really good but I think I liked the Dapper Dipper better. Would recommend everyone to check this place out.“

“The cheese shop was absolutely amazing. I ordered the Italian supreme and it was perfect. Very fresh soft bread and the deli meats were delectable, the oils and seasoning really made it great. The service was also amazing even though I just ordered a sandwich and made my way out. Unfortunately my debit card was having issues and they could not have been nicer until we figured it out. Great place and would highly recommend even if you are not in the La Jolla area, it's really worth the trip if you're in the greater San Diego area.“

“Came here for the first time around 1:30 on March 1 Friday. Decided to stop by on my way home from UTC. Easy place to enter from Miramar road. Ordered the Joes Special and Philly with mushrooms. As I entered I was immediately greeted by a nice lady. Super friendly and helpful. Order was made fresh and quickly. She didn't call out my order number when it was ready she actually came out to the table and handed it to me and offered me hot sauce. Overall the food was good and service was great. “Best sandwich shop around. This is the original one and its in the best location. Easy to take one to-go and bring it to the beach, or stay and have an ice cold brew while there. You must get their sauce if you go. In my opinion it what makes the sandwich SO incredibly good. I usually get the cold ones (turkado) but i have had the chicken sandwich as well which was great.“
