“La Tienda is a little room that's a little piece of En Fuego. La Tienda isn't necessarily a "wine bar," although I suppose wine is on the menu. Nor is it a store, for you Spanish speakers (nor is En Fuego actually on fire, last time I checked). I've found I can get the pretty-OK En Fuego food in here -- as well as damn good cocktails, probably due to unharried bartenders. La Tienda is a fine alternative to the commotion and outdoorsness of the rest of En Fuego, and is a fine choice during the harsh winters here, when the temps can dive into the 50s.“
“Looking for a good brunch place in Del Mar this is the place The food was delicious, all made to order all made fresh very tasty Love their Chilaquiles... Service was very nice and friendly and accommodating Ambiance is nice, u have an ocean view... clean space and the decor is nice Parking is all street parking free for 2 hours Def coming back here again“
“We went for our 22nd anniversary. Food was awesome. Service was average. Waiter was very funny and nice but a little to chatty causing service to be really slow. Dinner took almost 2 hours. The restaurants decor was very nice.Dietary restrictions: They have keto options.“
“Went there for a romantic dinner with my wife. We were on our honeymoon and wanted have some delicious food and a nice glass of wine. And we were not disapointed. Been coming here for a few years now and Cucinca Entoeca always delivers a experience to remember“
“Can't say enough about the food, views, and our server Ryan. He made a great experience fantastic. If only all restaurants had Ryan's.Every little detail was there including soft salted butter for the bread, good patios heaters, and great food and drink suggestions from our server.“
“This is our favorite Italian restaurant in this area. They are vegan friendly, and the food is delicious. They have a small selection of vegan pizzas and have vegan cheese. My husband is from Chicago, so picky about his pizza. So far, their flatbread, is the only pizza he's found that is likes. We've ordered to-go for two large events over the past three years and everyone loved the food.“
“Seasons 52 always goes above and beyond! We have never had a bad meal here! Our waitress was super helpful and knowledgeable about the menu! We loved the wine that she recommended so much that we ended up buying a bottle to take home with us! The lamb was incredible as well as the Filet & Lobster!“
“This must be our third or fourth time enjoying Candor. Everything from the service to the food is outstanding! Brunch was as delicious as dinner and I can't wait to go back and try even more items! Bring friends because you will want to share everything!!“
“Took my first restorative yoga class here last night with my husband. Really enjoyed the teacher, the yoga studio was spacious and newly renovated, and great quality props provided. Really cool that you can grab a bite and glass of wine after class too, which I plan to do the next time I come for class.“
“A truly stunning restaurant with wonderful service. The mezcal passion fruit drink was great. The food to me was a bit disappointing. For the price of the dishes I feel like there should be more flavor. I got the Salmon and while it was well cooked, I expected more flavor from how the waiters were talking about the food. The carrots in the dish were amazing though. The Peruvian Tuna Crudo was similar. I expected the sauce to have more flavor. The tuna itself was very high quality. The bread however was incredible.“
“I had a very pleasant experience at Rosina's last night! We had a group of 6 for my nephews birthday. Our waiter, Colin, was sweet and attentive. Parking is street and they do have a side lot. It was busy even on a Wednesday so we walked a little but not far at all. The bread is delicious with the dipping sauce. We started with the arancini which I recommend! They are slightly smaller than I'm used to, so get 2 orders if you have a bigger party. I had the fusilli aka vodka with chicken and gluten free pasta. The G Free pasta is better than what I usually make at home, which was a major plus! I really couldn't tell the difference. Everyone enjoyed their meals! A great experience! Oh, and Wednesday is half priced bottles of wine!“
“It was a great experience!! The atmosphere stunning !! I felt like I was literally in Italy. The pizza and pasta are delicious and the service was top notch . Huge Thank you to Emily, Bruno and Gabi for the great experience! Highly recommend ⭐️.“
“Recently visited Union Kitchen and Tap and it was fantastic! The ambiance was lively and inviting, perfect for a night out with friends. The food was delicious, with a great variety of options to choose from. The service was top-notch too, making it a memorable dining experience. Can't wait to return!“
“We had my birthday celebration at The Godfather and their private room is ideal for large parties. The food was delicious and the service superb! A huge thank you to Salvatore Ercolano, the new Godfather! He was the perfect host for our event and made sure that everything was perfect!“
“The "Mardi Gras" pasta at Bud Louisiana cafes is a true delight! The combination of shrimp and crawfish sautéed in a sherry tomato cream sauce with capers and mushrooms creates a burst of flavors that will leave you craving for more. The pasta is perfectly cooked and topped with a generous amount of Parmesan cheese, adding a delightful touch to every bite. The dish is so delicious that it transported me into a ratatouille dream-like state, and before I knew it, my plate was empty! If you're looking for a mouthwatering and satisfying meal, I highly recommend trying the "Mardi Gras" pasta at Bud Louisiana cafes. As I am not a true food critic, there was no thought of taking a picture of the dish. But I will include the carnage“
“We love this restaurant.. we happened upon it years ago and every time we are in LaJolla we dine there not once but twice ! We brought our kids and grandkids here for one of our anniversaries …Amazing dishes , great wine , best gelato , and a delightful owner who is so welcoming and full of great stories and information …sure wish this was in Illinois !!!!“
“Great vegan healthy food. It’s nice to go to a cafe where I don’t have to ask if there’s any animal ingredients in it, because there’s not. Everything but a handful of menu items is gluten free as well. The set up is very cute. Plant lined patio on Girard just into La Jolla. Not far from street parking. A few blocks from La Jolla Cove. Casual dining atmosphere, very basic. Cozy booth seating inside. It’s a small space, so if you’re bringing a large party, I’d call ahead to make sure there’s seating room. Everything is made by hand fresh daily by the owner himself. The food tastes great every time I’ve gone. My husband is a huge fan of Green Door because the owner mentioned staying up the night before Christmas Eve to make all the pre ordered Christmas dinners perfect. We called a few days ahead for our Christmas dinner last year which was shepherds pie and Christmas pudding. So so good!!! All we had to do was reheat the oven items, and reheat the Christmas pudding in boiling water. The preparing instructions were put on the lids. Only took about 20 minutes to reheat. Literally the best shepherds pie I’ve had, and my husband thought it was so cool because it tasted amazing without any animal ingredients. If you’re looking for something healthy, Green Door Cafe won’t disappoint. The prices aren’t cheap. The ingredients are bought frequently from local organic growers. A friend of mine has mentioned to me seeing the owner of Green Door Cafe riding his bike back to the restaurant with a basket full of greens. Which I thought was pretty cool. You don’t have to worry if it’s going to give you a heart attack or make you fat because it’s all natural nothing is fried. Definitely worth a try!!Vegetarian options: The whole menu is plant based/vegan/mostly gluten free.Dietary restrictions: The menu is 100% vegan/plant based. Mostly gluten free menu as clearly stated next to each item.Wheelchair accessibility: Nearby street parking. Outdoor seating in front with plenty of space for a walker or wheelchair.“
“Tucked away in an unassuming strip mall off the 101 is one of San Diego’s culinary jewels. A refreshing take on coastal Mexican set in a tastefully brooding atmosphere.Multidimensional, refreshing and just plain delicious this is a worthy contender for any Friday or Saturday night.Simply put, come and eat. It wont disappoint.“
“A constant place of gathering for my coworkers and I who worked in the San Elijo Area. This time we met on a weekend for brunch. I ordered a Pannikin coffee and Cinnamon Toast French Toast. Really thick slices of French Toast, I’m kinda weird and prefer thin slices but this was still good. Others got an omelette or a wrap. Everyone like their food, service was nice, bit pricey but in line with the local restaurants.“
“It was a simple and refreshing salad paired with the slice of pizza. We loved the rusty and crunch of the pizza dough. The serving size is almost 2 slices. The salad was really good! The greens are crunchy paired with the right acidity of the dressing.“
“Heard great things about the food here, and it did not disappoint!Stand outs:* The Laffa bread is made to order, and it is hands down the best bread I’ve ever eaten in my life. We ordered two because one wasn’t enough!* The basque cheesecake lives rent free in my head. Technically perfect and the flavor was so good, not super sweet, texture was perfection, like silk.* Gambas/Shrimp… the presentation was so beautiful and I took quite a few photos, but the flavor is what I remember even more. I don’t know how to explain it, but when you get sauce on your plate like this, you have to eat every last drop. Which we did - lapped it up with the second order of Laffa bread!* The salad was so fresh and well balanced. Like something made with love for the ingredients. Textures were on point and I believe the chef has his own garden where he gets seasonal ingredients. We loved it!10/10 will go again. Need to try some of the other items stat.“
“Great food, excellent selection of wine to choose from. They let you pick anything from the bottle shop and enjoy it over dinner, but they charge a corkage fee for their own wine. That's poor. The restaurant is old and hasn't been updated in 20 years probably. Staff was friendly and made for an enjoyable evening but won't necessarily need to go back with so many other great options out there.“
“Quaint. There is no way to describe this little gem of a wine, bar and olive oil shop. You feel like you are in Carmel, California with the warm tones, the ocean view, great wine choices, and light appetizers. The service was excellent, friendly and responsive. We will definitely be coming back.“
“What a gem! Ambiance is wine shop and old rhymes. Love that you can pick out a bottle and drink it there or get a glass from the wine list. Small bites like flatbread and cheese samplers. No kitchen food. Servers love wine and are super helpful with suggestions. See what you like and you can even become a member. Special wine dinners and tasting events. Can't wait to go back for more sips.“
“A group of five of us went in October 2023. The theme was based on Edgar Allen Poe. WE LOVED IT. The decor, the food, the table set-up, the service, the show....we still talk about it. We plan to make this an annual dinner/show tradition every year.“
“Hands down my favorite restaurant in San Diego. We've been five or six times and never been disappointed. Incredible aesthetic, excellent drinks and just delicious food. This current spring menu has a burrata dish that's phenomenal (sounds impossible but trust me. The strawberries are smokey and it's so good you might cry).“
“True family Italian meal, nothing pretentious just perfect food for the soul. Who cares about the location and fast food atmosphere when you have such an honest cooking that brought me back to Italy, sharing a joyful meal with my friends. Highly recommend it.“
“Enjoyed visiting this winery on December 30th.I was visting from Seattle and stopped by this place for dinner. The atmosphere was great. the bartender was friendly. the food and the wine were of great quality. They slightly overcharged my receipt by $0.95, but mistakes happen, the manager was polite and apologetic about it.I would visit this place again and highly recommend it to any travellers deciding to stop by a small little town called Encinitas in the San Diego area.“
“Great local spot with true Italian and seafood options. I came here with a large party and we had excellent service and great quality meal. I highly recommend if in the area and seeking Italian. I ordered the linguini clams and it was filling with a great sauce! Well done Osteria!“
“I was taking a La Jolla resident to lunch for her birthday. It was a beautiful day and I had told my guest about the terrace with magnificent views and full roofing , heating and fans as needed. When we went to the desk we were told that the terrace was not available, only the indoor seating. That was my big disappointment. My guest ordered the Mahi-mahi sandwich. The fish was so thick on the bun with tomato and lettuce that when my guest cut it in half it simply totally slid across the plate. She ate her sandwich with a knife and fork. The mahi-mahi was perfectly prepared. I ordered the Cobb salad. Rather than traditional crisp iceberg lettuce it was only the flat greens. Every Cobb salad I've ordered has diced chicken as a part of the salad, but instead a variety of meats/seafood were available at extra cost. As a La Jolla resident I've gone there for their former front patio brunch on special holidays and was always impressed as were my guests. I was surprised that two patrons who were there brought their dogs into the Mediterranean dining room and one patron placed the dog next to him on the long sofa. It has simply lost a sense of elegance and a special occasion ambience.“
“What a great gem! We were visiting the area and used Yelp to find a place for dinner. We settled upon Crust Pizzeria and were so happy we did! The place had a small comfortable bar and there were also tables available. The bartender, I believe her name was Faith, was very sweet and took great care of us. My husband enjoyed the Cheese Ravioli, and I ordered the Penne Sausage. It was excellent - the sausage was a touch spicy, and the tomato cream sauce was delicious. The portions were adequate. If only they had a location near our home - we would certainly be regular customers.“
“Recently moved to the area and decided to stop in on New Years Eve for an early dinner. The place wasn't too busy, but still had a great vibe. We were greeted by Jade, who was super friendly and explained each of the flavors of the Hard Kombuchas and even let us try a few! I had the Key Lime Pie. Their sushi menu is extensive, and has the basic sushi rolls and also specialities. Jade also knew a lot about the menu and the rolls, and recommended the moonlight roll and the grandview. We also got other items on the menu. Overall, we highly enjoyed the place and are happy we have a taproom/sushi in our new home!!“
“My husband and I had the best date night at Isola. We had reservations, but we arrived early so we grabbed a seat at the bar. We ended up getting so comfortable there that when they offered us our table, we said we'd stay at the bar instead. The bartender was fantastic. He allowed us to sample a few wines before choosing a bottle. No surprised- we went with a classic, Daou. The food was delicious and we enjoyed a Neapolitan style pizza and the rigatoni. Everything was perfect and we had such a great evening there!“
“Vegetarian options: Though I chose the burrata/ prosciutto pizza, which was excellent, I shared the vegetarianpizza as well. The tomato sauce is the Old World way i.e. not thick and sugary..it's like eating a fresh vine ripened tomato! Pizza without cheese was loaded with richly fresh veggies and the thin light crust kept it well balanced. House salad was very good with variety of distinctive greens and perfect balsamic dressing. Dessert...died and went to Heaven! Strawberry panacotta with fresh strawberries and sorbet...chocolate mousse so rich! Lovely service!“
“Surprisingly delightful for a Hilton Garden Inn lobby restaurant! There didn't seem to be other walkable options for me when I got in late so I reluctantly sat down at Bistro 39 to eat "something, anything" before bed. Wow, was I in for a treat. There was a server at my side immediately with a glass of water. The menu had interesting choices, from bar treats to a full meal ribeye steak. I decided to go with a couple of appetizers. The first to arrive was the pork belly brussels sprouts - fresh quality veggies, generous portion, tasty, but just a tad undercooked. Then the stuffed mushrooms arrived and I thought I had died and gone to flavor heaven. Best mushrooms I have ever tasted and possibly a top 20 dish I have ever eaten. I will order those every time I visit San Diego for the rest of my life. Water glass stayed filled, check came and went on time. It was a very quality experience and I will definitely come back again.“
“We came here on a SUNDAY morning for brunch and enjoyed ourselves. The breeze was incredible when it was over 100 degrees everywhere else. My husband had the eggs Benedict and I had an omlet. The food met our expectations. The servers were pleasant and attentive. Well be back with friends next time.“
“From the friendly greeting to the great service and recommendations we received from our server Paul, the experience was exceptional. A final treat was meeting the owner/founder JC and his lovely wife on our way out. Mahalo for a great evening.“
“The most beautiful view, the greatest food and the nicest staff and patrons. In beautiful Del Mar, CA. And not too pricy. And a full bar with interesting and delicious cocktails. And Carlos the bartender is a delight. This place is perfection.“
