Everything about the experience here at Ambrosio was delightful. The salad was light and refreshing and the pizza was the best I've had in all of San Diego. Ian provided excellent service and a thorough explanation of the menu. Highly recommend coming here. Great ambiance as well!
Vegetarian options: Though I chose the burrata/ prosciutto pizza, which was excellent, I shared the vegetarianpizza as well. The tomato sauce is the Old World way i.e. not thick and sugary..it's like eating a fresh vine ripened tomato! Pizza without cheese was loaded with richly fresh veggies and the thin light crust kept it well balanced. House salad was very good with variety of distinctive greens and perfect balsamic dressing. First time here, food was amazing! Try the Porcini pasta with guanciale! Service was great and there is cute ambiance as well. We live here in Del Mar and we will definitely be back! Highly recommend this great restaurant.
