“We were looking for a Mediterranean spot near us via Google maps search and I was surprised that I never noticed this spot before (we come to the Sprouts next door on occasion). So, the place doesn't stand out, but the reviews seemed reasonable, so off we went. Wow! The food presentation alone put a smile on my face (pic is after I had eaten some already). Happy to say that everything tasted just as wonderful - fresh, light, tasty. My husband was impressed with the tenderness and flavor of both the chicken and beef. He had the beef kabob with humus, for our 3 year old I ordered the kids chicken kebab with rice (thumbs up for having a kid's menu!), and I had one of their specials - lentil fried rice sans meat.Apart from the food, the owner (I believe) who took our order and the cook who also served us were great. Neither overly friendly or impatient, they were a pleasure to be serviced by. They look you in the eye when speaking, are accommodating, polite, professional. Makes a difference, big time. All that to say that this hole-in-the-wall restaurant has made it to our go-to list. We'll be back agin and again as long as they're here.Kid-friendliness: They have a great kid's menu, decent portion.”
“The food was great!!! What really stood out was the service. I asked our waiter for recommendations based on our dietary restrictions, limited appetite, and wanting a good representation of Argentinean food. He recommended a couple of empanadas, a couple of sausages, and a main dish for my date and I to share. Needless to say, both my date and I were impressed. If I'm in the area again, I'll be sure to be back.Dietary restrictions: Lactose intolerant”
“Delicious! Perfect. Bagel comes with a big plate of greens, the egg bowl with tator tots, arugula and mushrooms was awesome! There's outdoor seating, parking lot (!) and the service was outstanding. Will definitely be coming back”
“First time I've had froyo since before the pandemic. Still delicious and hits the spot but didn't know they don't let you put your own toppings anymore. Very clean inside and a lot of froyo ”
“Ive eaten there many, many times. And no matter who they have working at the window or the counter, they're always very polite, ordinal and professional. I don't have anything negative to say about JIB...”
“SO happy to have a fish and chips spot in Eagle rock! Fish and chips are hands-down my favorite meal ever and Fisher & Sons does not disappoint. I've only had it through Uber Eats but I'm a repeat offender. Had it delivered more than 4 times, and the fish is always fresh, crispy, plentiful and delicious!”
“The food is very good and it seems they use high quality ingredients. It also seems, however, that there are a couple things they could improve upon. My eggs in both dishes were unseasoned, they forgot the syrup in my pancakes order, and they forgot to give us the brownie we ordered. Maybe this is a new location and still ironing out the kinks. I could see myself changing my rating to 5 stars after a couple of more successful orders.”
“The place is overall amazing, workers are nice, food is great, but the service is a little slow. We waited a good 20 minutes before finally getting served. The workers are very nice and the place is beautiful. I usually order from Postmates and the food always arrives very quickly. I would totally eat here again just wished the service was a bit faster. Overall 5/5”
“I don't know if I was just high but the food was great to me! And I can be pretty picky especially when it comes to fried chicken. Ordered on door dash and chicken was hot and crispy, waffle was bomb too! Kind of sweet and on the drier side but I like it that way. Only thing that was disappointing is they didn't include any butter or syrup for the waffle. Will definitely order again next time I'm stoned and hungry at 1am!”
“We got the Coastal Catch and the Buffalo Chix and they were both delicious. The Coastal Catch was so fresh and refreshing and the Buffalo Chix was so yummy with the pickles, cabbage, mayo and chicken. Highly recommend”
“I could come here every day for the tomato soup!! So flavorful! So delicious! The sandwiches are also great! I usually get the avocado, bacon grilled cheese. The restaurant itself is big, clean, and open; a good place to hang out and study.”
“So far every time I've ordered it's been amazing . I think in the past it was t as good but lately it's been super delucious. We always get the chicken n waffles and the P b jelly French toast which is always great!”
“Wow! My son and I ate here for a very special dinner. The ambiance was cozy & finely understated, dimly lit along the neckline of diners to create elegant, artful hyyge -- top to bottom. Our waiter was a poised, warm, & knowledgeable gentleman, educating us and engaging generously with my son -- his commentary and conjecture with easeful comfort and charm. Each member of the staff we got to talk to was equally thoughtful and welcoming, making the meal all the more precious because of these extremely heart-felt connections. The food was artful & delicious, obvi. Overall exquisite. Thank you, Team Providence!!!!!”
“Loved everything! The service was warm and friendly, the food amazing and the space is beautiful. The only thing I'd change is the soundtrack volume as it was a very shrieky hip hop rap that was difficult to listen over and concentrate with. Thank you for your hospitality.”
“Food was amazing! The service was bad! Very expensive but I expected to be better taken care of. They were fully staffed but no one seemed to be working efficiently. We were 8 and none of the food runners ever knew who ordered what. They had to ask on every plate they brought. Not just our table but others as well. I don’t know if they have busboys as our table was never cleared. Plates upon plate stacked up. No one asked if we wanted a second drink and the glasses were never picked up. When we ordered dessert we had to move the 16 empty drink and water glasses to one side, gather the bread plates, wipe everything down and wait for our desserts. It was a busy night but not too busy for bad service. I kinda expected more than diner service at such an expensive restaurant.”
“A lifetime of eating Mexican food, living in Mexico and speaking Spanish fluently couldn't have prepared me for the culinary whirlwind that I experienced last night at Damian. Accompanying friends who have been long time patrons of Damian served as personal tour guides through the labyrinth of menu selections that culminated in one of the most memorable meals I have ever had as a native Angelino. What makes Damian so remarkable is the layers of flavors that appear in every dish and the surprising combinations of ingredients that while seemingly so disparate, create a fusion of flavors that one wouldn't think possible in one cuisine. The service is impeccable and the environment relaxing, intimate and simply world class.”
“Lovely spot with incredible atmosphere and food. The food was presented nicely and tasted even better. Would highly recommend the scallop/uni course and the skewers! the beef tongue was our favourite. As for the bone marrow, it was a little shallow and the miso overpowered it.Overall, I’d highly recommend n/soto to anyone looking for Japanese food around the area. Would definitely come again.”
“The best tripas! Bien doraditas! All the salsas are Delish!!!!! Highly recommend it. So glad they're in my neighborhood. We keep giving him business because we want to stay here.”
“I was offered an all-expenses paid trip to the "Clark Street Diner" (克拉克街餐厅) on Franklin Avenue. During this All-American™ escapade, I was slyly offered a small bag, containing salt-upon-sea, by a dishevelled, camoflauged Hollywoodian native whilst engourging of the delicacies delivered by this All-American™ "Clark Street Diner" (克拉克街餐厅). I indulged in this salt-upon-sea once entering their one (1) lavatory. This legal and easily accessible substance enhanced my dining experience tenfold. It should be offered at the table, and is my only complaint with the experience. I should not rely on local pathfinders to expand my experience.Vegetarian options: No.Kid-friendliness: The kids were very friendly ! They thoroughly enjoyed my salt-upon-sea.”
“Hands down the best breakfast biscuits I've had. I stop here every single time I'm in l.a. I finally tried something new and ordered the ADB Loco Motto, and it didn't disappoint. The drinks were strong and good. Get there early because it's a neighborhood favorite and fills up fast. The space is cozy, and parking is very limited.Parking: I only saw metered street parking, and there weren't a lot of spots available. You may have to park down the street and walk down to the restaurant.”
“This place is very close to achieving what it's setting out to do: provide an elegant vegetarian dining experience. I think that might be hard to pull off in a strip mall however. The food and the art are fantastic but the interior design was poorly executed and comes off looking a little cheap. I went for my birthday but for the price this might have been a one time experience. Updated from previous review on 2024-04-06”
“If I could give the service a 10000/5 I would. The entire staff was AMAZING. Attentive, thoughtful and all around kind guys. The chicken tenders and the comeback sauce were so flippen delicious! If you are nearby, this is a MUST STOP destination.”
“This is a 5+++, as you would be hard-pressed to find a more creative, flavorful and truly life-changing pasta meal than at Cento. The Spicy Pomodoro Pasta may be the singularly most delicious pasta dish on earth. The lamb meatballs… to die for. The grilled octopus, OMG. Pasta will never be the same for you. The beet spaghetti? Just ask Luca… it becomes part of you. Highly recommended.”
“I'm from Hawaii and I just love being able to order the food I eat back home here in Eagle rock California. The service is good and it's close to home.”
