“07/ 20 / 25 Food is good, the waiter that attended us did not know provided good customer service. We go there ones in a while and this is the first time that happened to us. First he never offered us water, the coffee were cold, twice we had to ask to bring us decaffeinated hot coffee, instead flour tortillas he gave me corn tortillas, another thing, in 20 minutes that we got there he gave us the receipt, he never asked us if we want to order another thing like any dessert or something , with that attitude we decided to not order dessert.”

“I've been wanting to try this cute little country cafe for a while now. So glad I finally had the chance! It is small and cozy, seats about 30 people. The staff were inviting and super friendly! I ordered the basic french toast and eggs and my eggs were cooked to perfection and I'm super picky about how they are cooked :) The homemade salsa was delicious and had the perfect kick to it. I will definitley be stopping by again to try the biscuits and gravy everyone has been raving about!”

“Authentic Mexican food Mexico City style ?a gem in El Cajón.

We had seen this place but had not had the opportunity to visit it and we liked it a lot. In a few words: Delicious food, good atmosphere, good service and attention; and very affordable prices.

We tried the pambazo, the al pastor tacos, the head and the sope. Everything was very delicious and with a 100% homemade Mexican flavor, but for us the star dish was the sope (they give you a choice of several stews) the dough with which it was prepared was very soft and at the same time crunchy. And the hibiscus water we ordered was very fresh and not as sweet and cloying as other places.

The decoration of the place is authentic Mexican and very colorful. You have to eat outside and inside.

And for us the most important thing was the prices since right now everything is very expensive. We were especially surprised given the quality of the service and food.

It is a place we will definitely return to and recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Mexican food.”

“Reasonable prices, and generous portions. Dinner come with soup or salad, and the non-pasta entrees come with a side of spaghetti. The lasagna is amazing, and so is the breaded pork chop with mushrooms. Pizzas headed to another table looked nice, and I'll try that some day.
There's an early dinner special with a choice of pasta dishes that's a particularly good value. There's the same special for lunch at an even lower price, plus a 10-inch pizza lunch.
Attractive dining room with booths separated by glass-topped partitions etched with scenes of Italy. There's a good size bar too.

Because of parking in front of the restaurant, it's not highly visible from the street.”

“People here have great attitude. Cook is cracking jokes as soon as you walk in. Carne asada fries where amazing and the portion was enough to feed one person and then some. Prices are also affordable. 15$ for carne asada fries is reasonable considering my the portion. Way better than Tapatíos who charged me 20$ for the same. Definitely recommend El Cotixan. Green salsa is mild and red is a little spicier. Great experience overall!”

“I recently researched a good Chinese restaurant for takeout, and it was a great experience! I called the restaurant, and the person who answered was so patient and helpful, answering every single question I had. It was really nice. I gave them a pickup time, and it was totally worth it.

We tried the Beef Lo Mein ($15.99), Shrimp House Special Fried Rice ($14.99), Salt & Pepper Shrimp ($19.99), and Homestyle Tofu ($14.99). Everything was delicious, flavorful, and perfectly salty. The portions were generous, enough for the two of us, which was amazing.

Just a heads-up: since it’s a restaurant, if you’re sensitive to salt, you might want to ask them to go easy on it. Otherwise, just drink plenty of water. Personally, I loved it! We’ll definitely be returning.”

“Delicious tacos! My favorite happens to be the cabeza tacos- especially because not all Mexican food restaurants have cabeza. Food portions are good and prices are slightly cheaper on average compared to other places. Food is also very consistent pretty much every time!”

“I think we have a new favorite Chinese place! We ordered take out, but when I came to pick up the order, I was admiring the restaurant. It was very nice- it looks like a great place to take a date. We ordered Lemon Chicken- such a flavorful sauce!, a chicken with basil and garlic- delicious and so many whole cloves of garlic -yum!, vegetable fried rice with lots of still- crisp veggies, and the only disappointing entree- egg foo young. The sauce was magnificent, but the egg foo young was a bit overdone and unremarkable, and even the sauce-full of pieces of pork and crisp veggies - couldn't save it. We will absolutely be back, though!”

Served with Pita Bread, Grilled So when I got home I find out there is only 4 Ground Beef kabob and 4 chicken Tikka And that was so embarrassing for me because I invited 5 people for lunch That was really bad experience”

“This place gets pretty busy on weekends! The parking lot may be full but you can still park along the street. It’s pretty large so there’s usually seats. I love the borracho fries, so good! Also the pulled pork and the cheeseburger are tasty too. The service is good as well. My one complaint is they run out of their popular items by 2pm, tri tip and hot links get sold out really fast. I know they can only bbq so much but maybe add some more of the popular meats?”

The bags are not the easiest to open, they are messy when eating, and half the salsa ends up wasted because it spills from the side of the bag. Please go back to putting salsa in cups.”

It's not the best Taco shop but it's so solid and consistent with great food that whenever I see one I'm excited and already know I'm going to get great southern California Taco shop food. “I have been going to Gyros House for years, and have never had a bad experience. It's my go-to for gyros, and (in my opinion) the best option in the Parkway Plaza food court.

The food is reasonably priced and amazing quality. The gyro meat is perfectly seasoned, hot, and tender. The vegetables are fresh and crisp. The pita is soft, warm, and flavorful. The sauces are perfect. The portions are big and very much worth the cost. The french fries are crispy and light, always hot and perfectly salted.

The customer service is incredible. The man who always makes my gyros always has a smile on his face and puts a smile on mine. Same with the woman who sometimes works the register. They are kind and helpful.

Very lovely people, very good food, great prices. Much better than the chain gyro places around.”

But my pizza was delivered right to the truck. This pizza is fantastic. The crust has the perfect crisp. Plenty of cheese, and they put the perfect amount of each topping that they don't overpower each other. The price is very reasonable. I'll order here anytime I'm in the area.”
