“I'm an old guy so spending nearly $20. for lunch still gets to me, but I'll gladly come back here and do it again & again. The Surf & Turf burrito is excellent, AND BIG. The chips & salsa are just right and the Coke from the fountain drink machine is not watered down like some places. I will try to schedule my jobs in El Cajon around lunch time.“

“As a Mexican, I’m very particular about my mariscos, and out of the three Mariscos trucks in El Cajon, this one is by far the best. I love their aguachiles, and their fairly priced fish tacos are bomb. Authentic as it gets, to be honest!!“

“We've been patrons for 61 years; spent our 60th. Anniversary dinner here along with all our family mile stones: birthdays, wedding rehearsal dinners, etc. We love the staff, lovely people and family and the food is always great. We love the atmosphere; calm and private booths... they are family as far as we are concerned...“

“Wow, this place rocks really good Hawaiian food at a reasonable price they even have Happy Dad hard seltzer here which makes me super happy! They have a value menu for $12.99 with a drink between the hours of 10 AM and 4 PM Monday through Friday. You can get a Katsu bowl or a teriyaki bowl or a wrap or a mini plate or a cheeseburger or three Musubis. You can have it to go or eat it here, but it has a little Hawaiian vibe here for sure lots of food good price quality stuff. Definitely pay them a visit and try one of the happy dads they have.“

“Been good things about this place so decided to give it a shot. Interior was very nice and clean. My wife mentioned it was great for a date place. Food was fresh and reasonable prices. We had dinner ala cart. There is an option for lunch menu for dinner for 2 dollars more which is a good deal or5 dollars more you can get soup egg roll and shrimp appetizers with al cart. Service was fast and pleasant. I would recommend giving it a try if like Chinese food.“

“Amazing food, the meals look, taste, and are very similar to other locations so that is great, as it is consistent.
The shrimp trio is probably my favorite Taco Tuesday item. Their fish tacos are also very good, as well as the shrimp and bacon burrito. The burritos do have bunch of jalapeno seeds in there that make it really spicy.“

“This place is a gem! We went in on happy hour. We were served with free appetizerrs and margaritas special prices. And the margarita were in large full glass. We ordered food and it was great!!
The bar was so pretty.

“I ordered food today July 27th 2024. Whatever cook you guys have back there at that time deserves a raise, just because I could tell they have a passion for food and delivering great food to whoever orders. The lady upfront was courteous and professional. I’m a restaurant manager, I would steal whoever made my food back there in an instant.“

“We have been going to Ponchos for about 8 years now and we have always loved their food but ever since they recently went under new management the food has changed and their carne asada has always been amazing but recently it’s like shredded or minced. And the flavoring isn’t that great anymore. I really hope you guys bring back the way you use to cook it in nice chunks like carne asada should be. Please!! They have great service always“
