“This is authentic tasty food. We ordered the barria tacos one afternoon when we just happened to in the area, and hunger called. We were very pleased and could not wait to go back. On our second visit, the barria was not as tasty as the first time but still very good and packed with meat, If you are a light eater, one is enough. The barria plate with rice and beans took me three sitting to finish. Bought a shrimp dish as well, spicy and plenty of veggies.“
“These guys offer good quality Mexican eats. I've had a variety of tacos from here, including carnitas, adobada, and carne asada tacos. They were solid and came with very good house salsa. Service is friendly, and they offer beer and wine at this location.“
“I got to go food was ready on time. I got a carne asada burrito, ceviche with octopus and shrimp that was really good and the green ceviche that was also very good but way too spicy to enjoy. And a huge quesadilla with steak and shrimp totally with it. I will come back again.“
“It was just a beautiful, tasty, artful experience. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and feels straight out of Japan. The staff are attentive and kind. The reservation system is annoying, but once you get in it makes sense. They have a tiny seating capacity and I believe that's critical to the quality of their food. You have to get the full 2hr omakase. It's an incredible journey from start to finish. I've had sushi all over the world, this is some of the best I've ever tasted. If you sit at the bar (which you must try and do) you can watch their three sushi chefs prepare the fish right in front of you. If you're not used to Japanese flavors and textures, definitely come with an open mind! Most of the pieces they serve aren't the norm in American Japanese restaurants.I went for my birthday and the chef pulled a guitar out of nowhere and serenaded Happy Birthday with the staff. I've been twice and it's absolutely worth the price tag.“
“My husband and I did date night last night. It was our second time here! Absolutely love it! Service each time was excellent. You can tell they see the value of providing excellent service. The food was piping hot and delicious. So happy to have such a great restaurant in our neighborhood. I hope everyone goes there to support this special place!!“
“I've been going to Mariscos MI Gusto Es for over 10 years! Everything on their menu is Delicious. My personal favorites are the tacos de Gobenandor, Marlin Tacos and their Cockteles de Campechana..It's family owned and operated❤️Arturo and his wife are super friendly and always greet you with a smile?“
“This is a cafe style restaurant. Maybe sets 20 people. Not much ambiance but the food is outstanding. We went there 4 times in the two months we were in the area. They do not have a bathroom so go before you go. We recommend it highly.Parking: It's in a plaza with Manny parking places.Wheelchair accessibility: There is wheelchair accessibility into the building“
“Definitely make a reservation. Totally hip place. Great service. Food is OK. Sadly, the swordfish was not tasty at all. In fact, it was very watery. Definitely not five star tries to be a little too Fancy and a little too much seasoning. And a whole lot of smoky of everything. Cocktails are incredible. Bartender was so good. Decor is just basic. But it’s a very busy place with a really nice little patio out front.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly based on menu and Quaintance of the restaurant maybe at lunchtime it is but not for dinner“
“Clean, inviting, and friendly. I had such a great experience dining here. My waitress Christine was very attentive, friendly, and had great recommendations. Really enjoyed everything we got! The poppers & pickle spears were nicely breaded. Great crunch and flavor! The inside of the poppers was creamy and flavorful. The garlic noodles were so so good and not too garlicky, just the right amount! The boil itself definitely stole the show with its combinations of flavor and spice that just balanced each other out nicely. Definitely will be back!“
“Came in looking for a fried fish taco but their grilled fish taco was off the hook. Wasn't necessarily looking for ceviche but ended up trying their verde sauce shrimp ceviche, it was flavorful and spicy. Definitely coming back. Service was phenomenal, super friendly. The place is small and parking may sometimes be a little challenge but worth it to come and enjoy this pace.“
“We’re from out of town but were craving some good fish tacos. TJ’s did not disappoint! We got the octopus, ahi tuna, garlic shrimp, taqueso shrimp, and smoked tuna tacos. The octopus and smoked tuna were our favorites! Our server was extremely helpful and provided great service.“
“I can see why they call this Aces! It is definitely the top of the deck when it comes to Louisiana boil complete with potatoes, corn, crawfish, shrimp, clams, mussels and the most delicious broth, this was a meal to remember. Also got gumbo which did not disappoint!“
“Large portions. Friendly staff. Food is pretty dang good. Prices APPEAR to be a bit high due to the neighborhood, but portion easily gave me 2 meals. Well worth it. Huge portions!I came there with 2 hungry coworkers. We all left with extra in boxes for later. I happily recommend this place, straight up.Owner was part of the staff during our lunch. Great guy, very much "on it".Complaints: parking is a hot commodity in this neighborhood. Not their fault! Lol!! (Or is it? Hard to deny how many people like this place!)In short? This place has become a "go to" for many in a very short time. This "up and comer" is getting VERY popular for good reason!Dietary restrictions: Keto friendly in a heartbeat. Diabetic friendly same. I had multiple options, and I'm surprised at the options available.“
“It had been a very long time since we came to Sizzler… many many years. The Manager Luis jumped in to help get the ordering line moving. Carlos our server was very attentive. Ribeye was seasoned perfectly and vegetables were steamed just right. Salad bar was excellent and fresh, 5 stars for salad bar. Definitely will come back.“
“Great place especially if you are craving seafood. If it's not on the menu ask if they have the macadamia nut encrusted Halibut. Doesn't get much better than that. And for dessert try the Creme Brulee.Parking: If the top lot is full there is parking down below try the restaurant.“
“Located on Logan Avenue in the Barrio Logan neighborhood of San Diego, this small restaurant offers delicious, authentic tacos. We enjoyed the swordfish tacos and coconut battered shrimp tacos. We also enjoyed the Coco Pudding with fresh berries We were disappointed that they did not offer to go options because we wanted to take our food to watch the sunset. They were out of a couple options we wanted to try. We arrived at 6:30ish p.m. and found a parking spot in front of the restaurant.“
“This is one of the coziest spots in SD. They even asked if they could put our jackets on the coat rack. It’s small and feels warm and friendly and inviting. Food was superb too and I highly recommend the wine pairing! Came here for an anniversary dinner and our favorite course was the salad and soup.“
“Ordered the fish tacos, huge tacos, absolutely delicious with everything on it. Also ordered the shrimp quesadilla...huge portion, also delicious great flavors. I'm giving it 4 stars because the salsas were horrible. They are placed where the sun hits and so it smelled a bit sour, not fresh or good for my liking. I asked for fresh refrigerated salsa n got the same watered-down habanero salsa. I tried it because i need the spiciness but honestly it just made my tortilla soggy n messy. Please work on your salsas and i will change from a 4 to a 5 star review. I will be back in a couple weeks.“
“The best Chinese food I've ever had. For real. We ordered the family dinner # 2, it was $22 per person - there was only 2 of us. (I was hungry so no judgment lol). it came with wonton soup, cream cheese wontons, egg rolls, bbq pork for an appetizer. Orange chicken, beef and brocolli and rice (fried or steamed). We also added house noodles since we came with our toddler and also I was hungry. The family meal itself although it was meant for 2, would have fed 4. We took home enough leftovers to have another full meal and lunch for me :)The orange chicken was by far, best I've had. It was so crispy, I hate when places drench it in sauce and it's soggy... or worse they bread it so much there's a tiny chicken nugget in there. The flavor was also perfect, not too sweet or tangy. The brocolli and veggies in the beef and brocolli and noodles were so fresh and I like my brocolli still a little crunchy, which it was. My son is 2 and half, he LOVED the noodles and the wontons in the soup. The service was FAST, I mean we got our food super quick and they were really nice and kept checking in.Do not miss this this spot! It doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is better than anywhere I've had in a long time!“
“Diamond Palace exceeded my expectations! The food was delicious, with each dish bursting with authentic flavors. The service was prompt and friendly, adding to the enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend the Dim Sum. I'll definitely be back for more!“
“We love this local, quaint restaurant! It’s quiet with excellent food and incredible service. Our favorite foods are the short rib taco appetizer, Waygu & truffle ravioli appetizer, and the duck confit. The oysters are good too!Highly recommend Oyster & Pearl for a quiet date night or special dinner out.“
“Nice local spot for University Heights. Food is good and the atmosphere is serene.Kid-friendliness: Not the best for small kids. It will disrupt a small dining and intimate sitting atmosphere. Plz don't bring the loud toddlers... thanks. ?Wheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“Great spot and not too busy at lunch so we found parking out front and a great table with the windows open!Best aguachile ceviche bowl I’ve had in a while- definitely get it with mango! The owner is super friendly and welcomes all- will be back here for the food and atmosphere. Great to see local businesses thriving in this area“
“The Quesabirria & consume is FANTASTIC, and it was $4 cheaper than other places. The reviews did not lie about how flavorful the food is. Best taco truck meal I’ve ever had & I’ve had nothing but good experiences at food trucks.“
“I'll say this, if you only order the spare ribs off of the appetizer menu, you'll be completely satisfied! I ordered lo mein and the ribs together. The noodles came out quickly and were 2/5. Nothing special. But when the ribs came out I was shocked! So many and so big! Absolutely delicious sauce! Growing up in BBQ heaven, these are easily some of the best ribs I've ever had! 9/10!!! Order the spare ribs!“
“Wow, a restaurant that can make a take out order look delicious and appealing is worth the rating! Our food was on time, prepared with thoughtfulness and delicious! No complaints at all! I look forward to sitting down and having a meal at such a great place ?“
“The service was cordial, and the atmosphere was OK. The restaurant smells more like a bar. We had the french toast, which really seemed to be bread dipped in whipped eggs and milk, and grilled in oil. It lacked sweetness and cinnamon. The eggs and bacon we ordered on the side were very good and fresh. Cracker Barrel does a better breakfast.“
“I LOVE this place. Their Birria tacos are the best in San Diego and I’ve had my fair share of Mexican food. As an SD native, whenever people come to visit I tell them to go here because it’s literally the best. Please don’t ever leave the neighborhood!!“
“Hands down, this is my go to pokē spot in all of San Diego. While the cost may be a tad high, I can say with absolute confidence that it's absolutely worth every penny. The fish's freshness and the precision with which my usual order is prepared consistently impresses me. The ambiance of the place is undeniably modern, and I must emphasize how exceptionally clean it is. The staff is incredibly approachable, especially if you're a first time customer trying pokē for the first time. What sets this place apart even more is their generous military discount, making the experience even more accessible for those who serve/d. Needless to say, the food's freshness and overall flavor are nothing short of amazing. A solid 10/10! I wholeheartedly recommend it to anybody in the San Diego area!My usual order:Regular pokē bowlWhite riceCrab saladAvocadoThree scoops of tunaMangoChipotle mayoSesame seeds“
“Sooo deliciousGreat portionsI had the shrimp and grits and let me tell you I would go back just for that!!The shrimp was a nice size perfectly seasoned and the grits with the cheese was perfection Soo goodMy mother had the fried fish and she isn’t a fan of fried but said it was goodThe breadstick that came with the order was delicious tooMy only disappointment was the dessertI ordered the banana puddingIt wasn’t Bad just not as good as I hoped since the other food was soo goodI will definitely be returningParking: Parking is a little trickyIf you go on a weekday when there’s less traffic you should be fineI parked on the street a couple of feet away from the locationThere isn’t a big sign and it isn’t a big restaurant so you may miss itThere’s no parking lot so you have to get the closest spot on the streetYou shouldn’t have to pay as you’re only picking up food for less than an hour“
“LOVE shrimp heads! My friends and I come here quite often and the food is always consistently tasty and reasonably priced for seafood. We always order the boiled crab legs, shrimp, mussels and crawfish. It's a fun place to eat if you don't mind using your hands and getting a little messy.“
“Amazing mexican seafood!! Deliciosos mariscos!!We went to the location that is showed on Google but a guy told us they moved to the AutoZone parking lot and was worth it go and check it out!New location / nueva ubicación:- 2211 Imperial Ave, San Diego, CA 92102Visiting from Florida and it was a delicious seafood, generous portions and great prices!!Visitando de Florida y comida muy rica, las porciones muy generosas y los precios justos!“
“Absolutely loved the food! My wife and I had a craving for Fish & Chips and found this place on Google. Seeing the decent reviews, we decided to give it a try. We shared the 2 Fish + Chips plate, and it hit the spot. The fish was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of batter. These are now our favorite Fish and Chips in San Diego ?“
“I normally go to burros and fries across the street but I found this spot on Yelp and read the reviews. They're right, food is delicious, I ordered carne asada fries, a bean and cheese burrito, 5 rolled tacos and a large horchata for $31 that was A LOT of food. Red salsa was spicy and had a good flavor. The restaurant is clean, the service was fast. Great taco shop. Here's a picture of the large order of carne asada fries, it was packed with meat“
“I was so excited to try a family owned small restaurant and I was not disappointed! I ordered the lasagna, tortellini carbonara, tiramisu, and cheesecake. Every dish was delicious. Service was kind, friendly, and attentive. Looking forward to trying the pizza next time!“
“I would like to compliment Julianna! I was greeted on the phone very kindly by her as I was placing an order. She was very helpful and made me feel like family. I will be coming back again as the food is delicious and the service is excellent! Thank you Julianna for a great experience.“
“Large portions to match the prices. Really liked the ability to customize the hashbrown breakfast burrito to include nopales aka cactus, which unfortunately was a little salty but the other ingredients were pretty good: sausage, bacon, eggs. Still prefer the abodaba tacos at Tacos El Gordo.Service was patient. The atmosphere felt a little run down.“
“Fresh seafood . Good taste. I want to try more to know another dish.I ordered Fish Tropical Cevice 6.70$ and Baja Trio (3 Tacos) 14.50$.Baja trio are 3 kind of tacos. I don't like deep fried fish cuz too white American to me. Shrimp was ok. I am recommend Baja Trio.Fish tropical ceviche same as fish ceviche but attach mango. Delicious I like it.One guy ordered Tostada Loca look good but I didn’t try.I love their free fish soup, onion Pico. But Salsa sauce not spicy to me.Paper wrap Cover every tacos. Make hand clean. +1Not authentic but deserve to try.“
“TJ Oyster Bar in Bonita, CA, is an absolute gem! The seafood is exceptionally fresh, and the flavors are nothing short of spectacular. From the mouthwatering fish tacos to the delightful ceviche, every dish is a testament to their commitment to quality. The casual yet inviting atmosphere, paired with friendly service, makes it a standout dining experience. If you're a seafood lover, TJ Oyster Bar is a must-visit destination. Five stars without a doubt!“
“This place is sooo good! Anything you order is amazing. Yesterday, I was craving curry goat but I was closer to a different Jamaican restaurant and it was a mistake, the food was horrible so I had to get curry goat from Caribbean taste to get my fix today, and of course they didn’t disappoint. I won’t ever order from other place again!“
“Brought the family here, got a great table and food. The family that runs this business were exceptionally accommodating, sweet and great at what they do. The food was delicious AND they had gluten-free beer on draft!! Made my wife very happy. The bento box was the deal!“
“The chicken was good, but I didn't like my talapia... I'm not sure if my order was wrong, but it definitely didn't seem Cajun at all. Other than that, the service was great. I'd try again...Kid-friendliness: They welcome kids.Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible although there isn't a lot of parking.“
“This is one of my favorite eateries! The menu has something for every budget, every taste bud, and every food restriction! They even have a gluten-free menu. There is a fresh market inside the redtaurant entrance that sells many of the condiments, seafood items, salads, etc. This is an excellent choice for tourists and neighborhood folks alike. They offer inside and outside seating. Note: You can see the restaurant sign from Highway 8; however, the restaurant itself can not be seen from the highway. It is down in a small valley adjacent to a man-made lake. Try it! You'll like it! ✔️??✅️“
“Their seafood is so good, I always come or order from DoorDash if you love seafood I recommend this place, try their aguachile is so good, it’s has so much flavor.Parking: Parking is not hard to find there’s plenty of spaces to park wether it be in the street or in the parking lot they have.“
“Very well seasoned fish and shrimp in the tacos. Super crunchy and golden brown. Prices are very reasonable too. Stuffed with just the right amount of cabbage and finely chopped tomato/cilantro. Tons of hot sauce to choose from. Casual but friendly. Parking was tight.“
“This place was so good! It's not very big The food was very fresh and the portions were bigger than I expected :) We got the special tostada and aguachile. The restaurant didn't look very big but it had a constant flow of people. I saw a lot of people come get takeout so that would be a convenient option. They had these aguas de fruta and it was frozen and blended. It was so yummy!“
“I tried the Beef and Lamb Shawarma plate. The portions are large so you can probably share this plate. Ordered it with Rice and Salad. Also came with hummus. Everything was delicious. I also tried the whole fried chicken wings which were also very tasty. So if in the mood for Gyros. You definitely should try this place out. Also has many other options on their menu. It's located in the Fiesta Market .“
“The food has gotten a little pricey but always tastes fantastic. Love the sushi and the Thai menu. Highly recommend the Pad Thai and the spicy edemame.Parking: Not many spots during peak hours.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome and often present.“
“Very nice place, recommended without a doubt, starting with the small but comfortable place, very clean, the service provided very well, a very extensive complete menu, shrimp tacos and chilled octopus, I recommend it! A variety of drinks from sodas to beer, a place to go alone as a couple or as a family!VERY FAST FOOD DELIVERY!Wheelchair accessibility: A place suitable for people in wheelchairs, children and seniors!“
“Phenomenal food and service!!! I came in for a late lunch and was greeted by the owner Miguel, who lured me in with a delicious smelling steak he was cooking up on their outdoor smoker grill. Brooke, the waitress and bartender gave exceptional service! I mentioned I liked the olives in my bloodymary so she totally surprised me with an extra full skewer of them! Their bloodymary mix is homemade, I asked for mine to be spicy and she did it very well! I ordered the verde pozole that was fantastic and freshly made with all the fixings - Freddy is an excellent chef! I also ordered the elote bites and I agree with the menu description - an absolute favorite! Moderate sized bites of elote goodness sprinkled with some cotija and a homemade creamy chipotle sauce for dipping. I also ordered their wings and went with the mango habenero sauce that was absolutely delicious - perfect mix of heat & sweet over savory delicious crispy wings, served with an ample portion of homemade delicious ranch dressing good enough to scrape the last bite of! When I saw the sign. American and Mexican food, I was unsure if it'd be disappointing Americanized Mexican dishes...nope, the sign is exactly correct, their menu is a separate mix of delicious authentic GREAT Mexican food AND delicious homemade GREAT American food. The atmosphere is perfect to chill and catch any type of TV you'd like to watch, mix of sports, classic movies, the news, and more. Steele 94 offers a wide range of exquisite bourbons, whiskeys, and other fine liquor classics and draft beers. But wait there's more.... WATER IS FILTERED AND FRESH!!! Most places serve tap water that tastes like chemicals, Steele 94 serves refreshing filtered water that tastes like you're drinking straight from a mountain spring - no residues or floating chemicals in the water or ice! Nestled in a quaint area at the bottom of the mountains, there are other nearby great and unbeatable shopping for other goods such as produce and farm supplies, and of course my favorite veterinarian is right across the street, Steele Canyon Vet. I could go on and on raving about this place, but it's better to come and get the best dining experience for yourself!!! Plenty of parking available, and very affordable for such exceptional quality. See pics below for current menu and foodie pics :)“
