“I was brought to this restaurant by a close family member and it's one of the best ramen places I've been to. I loved their ramen bowl serving and the Naruto ambiance. I can definitely see myself going back to this place again. I ordered the Naruto Chasu “
“Thursday12/7/23 Dinner at Quan De 7 Mon restaurant in El Monte with my cousin and friend Jimmy. Enjoying lots of my cravings: grilled shrimps, baby clams, hot pot, and fried tofu with shredded dried pork and satay green onions. It hits multiple spots in my tummy and for sure I’ll be sleeping with a big smile tonight. I am blessed and know when I look back on this day, it would be one of many joyous times.Service staffs were friendly and attentive.Asian bar & grill environment.David YoungRestaurant Enthusiast“
“I recently heard about an event offering beef for 1.99 and mutton for 2.99, so I took the time to pay a visit. Flesh-lovers are ecstatic, and they are so happy that they faint. It is said that there is also a single set meal that is also very cheap. I will try it another day.“
“Place is always wonderful. Spacious, fast, and clean. This branch is particularly great. Individual pots, lots of variety and fast servicePeople are very nice here and are very attentive. Cannot as for better service.Food here is always great. They come out very fast and they always have fresh food.“
“The golden chicken soup base is very rich and delicious, especially the Japanese A5 Wagyu beef, which is sweet, smooth and tender and melts in your mouth! The food is fresh and there is nothing wrong with it. I will definitely come back again. It was a great experience “
“I want to go there every day if I could. There are ample parking places, and the place is packed on weekends.Their lunch menu A is only $16.99, which is insanely low today with all the inflation, I honestly don't know how they can make money. You have to order the soup base and meat from the servers, rest are all self-serving. There is a snack bar with sesame balls, fries and spring rolls for the kids, and there are a line of freezers with literally everything, from veggies to seafood to tripe.Food is fresh given they move through everything pretty fast, for the price there is really nothing to complain.“
“If you haven’t been here before the setup might be confusing. You should head all the way to the back, go to the cashier, tell him the number of people, get a table number from him, and then get a bowl and start putting stuff you want in the bowl. The bowl is weighed and charged by the pound, but you don’t pay until you’re done eating. Then you hand the bowls to the cashier to order what type of soup you want. They hand you order numbers and you go to your table and just wait for them to bring you food. You can also make sauces at the sauce station. When you’re finished, bring your bowls back to the front and pay. Also note that you get one tong for picking up all the foods, so if cross contamination is a concern or you have food allergies, this might not be the best place to go.The lady in the front was not helpful and just shouted Chinese at us and acted like we were in her way for not knowing the rules. Some of the customers tried to help us too, but they should really just post the rules outside the store or in front of the front door to help newcomers. I think if you look East Asian, they will assume you speak Mandarin, so you should mention that you don’t speak it to clear the air. The rest of service was fine and nice, just the initial confusion didn’t feel very good.“
“Good! Very casual place to eat with great service!Waitress was attentive and very helpful. The food was all good and at a very good price. For the 5 of us, we spent $77and that was with meals for each one of us, Would go back for a relaxed lunch or dinner.“
“This skewers are very fresh. We chose tomatoes and medium spicy mandarin duck pot at the bottom of the pot. There are many varieties of beef skewers. The friends gathered with the mentality of trying casually, but I didn't expect that the quality was very good. We will come back regularly!“
“Definitely my *fave* hotpot spot in LA right now! Their soup broth is so hearty and the meat is beyond fresh!!! High recommend the spicy, tomato and bone broth combo. As for the dishes love love love the fried pork, fresh pork meatballs, beef short rib and pork belly! Totally skip the beef balls and hand cut beef.“
“First time trying hot pot. The server was super nice and took thier time to explain the menu and how to order. You can choose 2 diffrent broths with spice levels.or just one pot. Then you add meat and veggies. They have a sauce bar which was fun to creat mix or just choose from there.“
“I love this place. I've been going since I was a little kid (that was 20+ years ago). The staff and service is always so friendly and attentive. I love their Bún Chả Giò Chay. It's my regular order! They have a solid selection of Vegan Vietnamese food and very affordable prices. If you're looking for real Vietnamese Vegan food, this is the spot!“
“This place is great with lots of food options and it's self serve so you can grab your own meats and veggies as you can choose whatever and how many you want. They offer alot of meats and veggies and well kept in fridges. Been going to this place and enjoy it, will return once again soon.“
“A quick in and out for sliced meat. Whether it's for our shabu nights, stir fry dishes, or grilling, we like to use the beef slices here instead of getting it inside the GW market. For $10, you can get a pound of sliced meat. We usually get the angus and lamb slices. You can also ask for fattier or leaner slices of the angus, or get half and half. Come prepared with cash, I think they have a minimum for card. They also have other types of meats such as skewers, and they have other ingredients that are commonly used for hotpot.“
“First time trying this spot and was pleasantly surprised at the portion of the skewers and the price is decent. The beef skewers were tender and I love the beef with pineapple! Only wished there were more seafood options and items at the snack bar but overall loved the spicy house soup base and really liked they did have good selection of veggies. Would definitely come back again!“
“It was actually pretty good. Better than I thought. Friendly service too. I wish they had a physical menu for easier ordering process. The bao (生煎包)was a bit misleading: Looked like regular size on the picture but were actually very small when it came, therefore overpriced.“
“Loved this place! Service is excellent and I particularly liked the salad bar-like hot pot area rather than having to order soooo much of everything. I (and my kids) always waste so much food (and spend sooo much more money) at the traditional hot pot places you cook the food yourself. If you like hot pot, but don't want to cook your own food (like a sucker ;), I highly recommend this cute little place!“
“Had a good time hanging out with my friends. Self-service picking ingredients: vegetables, meat, fish balls, shrimps, noodles, tofu, etc. You pay per pound. I feel good with a lot of varieties. After picking ingredients, you can choose soup from four different soup bases. They will cook and serve you in a big bowl. I love marinated chicken gizzards. I tried mild spicy original bone soup. Would love to try the same soup with medium spiciness and also tom yum soup.“
“This dish is the embodiment of freshness! The juicy, flavorful seafood pairs exquisitely with the rich wagyu beef. The vegetables are equally impressive, offering a crisp, lively, and flavorful experience. Clearly, only the best ingredients make the cut for this meal.“
“100% recommend this place. Ordered: -Potato Noodle -Fried Chicken Pro: -Potato noodle was really good. Chewy and savory. We got the seafood meatballs but they also have a beef one. The broth was spicy and not too heavy tasting. -The chicken was savory sweet, a bit sticky and a delight to eat! There are a lot of bones and the meat is slightly chewy which makes a pleasant texture. -Interior was clean, bright and cute -Plenty of parking inside the structure -Price is reasonable Con: -No credit card payment under $30“
“If you have never done hotpot before, make sure you come with someone who knows. They are not good at explaining or helping out.I would recommend to come with 4 people at least, this way you can order to share more things (meat, fish, vegetables, whatever you like).I had the gold broth (chicken soup broth) and their original broth (spicy level 1). It felt very spicy to me but I usually like mild. So it makes sense.“
“One of my favorite Sichuan Pot in the area. They use plenty of food and sauce inside the broth. For the Fish fillet and Frog in Sichuan Mala Broth, it's the size for two people with many fish fillet and frogs inside the large pot. Though it's a little bit spicy, the proteins are pretty good with the fantastic taste. The staff told me that their boss asked them to add enough food to ensure customers' satisfaction. What a great experience of dining here. Attention to adjust the spicy level for any one of the pots.“
“Excellent AYCE hot pot place! There’s an attention to detail to the dining experience that I really appreciate. They have a lifting hot pot separator so you see what you put inside. Service is quick and friendly and never seems like they are limiting you in any way. The meats are high quality and thinly cut, the veggies selection is abundant and cleanly maintained, the sauces selection is good, there’s some appetizers and a soda machine. They have some deals sometimes, which usually happen on weekdays. Totally underrated!Spicy brother and mushroom soup base are my preferred duo.“
“Passed by this several times. I decided to go in last night and I had a great time. I ordered the mixed tempura, shumai and the ribeye with spicy broth. I loved everything. The service was on point, as soon as we were about to enter, the waiter was getting our settings ready. The waitress made sure we had everything we needed.“
“Was craving for some quick hotpot on a cold day and this place definitely hit the spot I tried their stinky tofu hotpot and it did not disappoint. There's a decent amount of meat in there and other ingredients as well. I wish the broth was a bit stronger in terms of flavor but it was delicious. They have a sauce station where you get to put together your own sauce. Service was friendly and the food didn't take too long to come out. I actually prefer this over boiling point because of the less wait and the food is just as good, if not better.“
“Prepare your taste buds for a wild ride because Nabemono Shabu Shabu is where the party's at! I recently visited this hot pot haven, and let me tell you, it was like stepping into a foodie's dream. Service That's So Good, You'll Wonder If You Entered a Spa:From the moment I walked in, the staff at Nabemono treated me like royalty. The service was so good; I half expected a red carpet to roll out as I made my way to the table. The waitstaff was attentive, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. They even taught me how to shabu shabu like a pro without making me feel like a fish out of water. Veggie Delight - Mostly Washed, All Fresh:Now, let's talk veggies. I'm no botanist, but I know a crisp and fresh vegetable when I see one. Nabemono did not disappoint! The veggies were not only mostly washed but also as fresh as a morning breeze. It's like they plucked those veggies straight from the Garden of Eden and plopped them onto my plate. My carnivore instincts were momentarily put on hold as I devoured the colorful array of veggies. Who knew I could enjoy vegetables this much? Meat So Good, It's Almost a Crime:Let's not forget the star of the show - the meat. I swear, the meat at Nabemono was so good-looking; I almost asked it for its skincare routine. Each slice was like a work of art, marbled to perfection. The cook-it-yourself shabu shabu experience made me feel like a culinary genius, and the result was a mouthwatering masterpiece. I've never had a beefy experience like this before! Cleanliness that Deserves an Oscar:In the world of hot pot, cleanliness is next to deliciousness, and Nabemono nailed it. The place was as spotless as my grandma's Sunday best china. I could eat off the floor, not that I tried, but you get the point. The clean and cozy atmosphere added an extra layer of comfort to the entire dining experience. In conclusion, Nabemono Shabu Shabu is the real deal. With service so good, veggies so fresh, meat so fine, and a cleanliness standard that would put a surgical room to shame, this place is a culinary oasis. So, grab your chopsticks and head over to Nabemono for a shabu-tastic time! Your taste buds will thank you, and your funny bone will be tickled.“
“Came here after a long road trip with a big group and had an amazing experience! Great menu selection, and server helped recommend what to order, what dishes, vegetables, meats, noodles etc. Food came out quickly, they gave us a little cart for everything. They frequently came to clear empty dishes and help if we needed to order more. I highly recommend the scallion crispy pancake! The sauces are great, even better when mixed. The soup tasted great and we took some home too :) Highly recommend this place.“
“One of the better hotpot places locally and possibly a new favorite. Ingredients are fresh and the sauce bar has a plethora of snack choices. Although not all you can eat, the prices are very fair and surprisingly low for such quality.Service was pretty fast. The atmosphere is historic in a very cozy way.“
“Great spot if you like mala (numbing and spicy) hotpot. It's Chongqing style, so spicy means spicy, and there are quite a few Sichuan peppercorns floating around--some don't like that, but I love it and that's exactly what I was looking for. They do have split pots so that you can get half spicy half not if you have a group with mixed preferences. Service was really good, and the sauce bar was legit, complete with all the most important elements in quantity for mixing up a dipping sauce just how you like it. It also had a good selection of other snacks, mostly carbs, but also a really nice pickled radish. Could be improved with a little fruit, like some sliced cantaloupe or something, but I'm not complaining.“
“My wife loves the Hibiscus Tree Combo #1 loaded with marinated beef, shrimp, beef tripe, crab stick, fish ball, spam, quail egg, bean curd, bean sprouts, enoki mushrooms, black fungus, winter melon. So much great stuff inside. We use DoorDash for food deliveries. But I've came by twice to pick up takeout. The parking lot is always full and hard to find parking so we prefer DoorDash and let them deal with the parking situation.“
“Good personal hotpot place. Good price to permanent ratio. Pretty fast. The soups were all nice and drinkable. Even the spiciest level was not that spicy. Lots of veggies and meats to choose from. All tasted pretty fresh. If I were in the area I would come again if I have a craving for hotpot.“
“If you are into spicy Chinese food, then you will love this place. This eatery serves Chengdu style food (a sub-part of Szechuan cuisine). It had the same 麻辣 taste for all of their dishes (literal translation: numb & hot pepper spicy) as in a typical Szechuan dish. Numbing effects came from black & white peppercorns, which you can taste quite distinctively. Thhis style of food is known as Maocai 冒菜(translates from local dialect: heat the food); , which derived from the hot spicy soup with all kinds of herbs pour over the ingredients creating steam (as in 冒烟as in “smoking”)just before serving to the patrons. You can choose from the menu or pick your own from the buffet bar and you will pay based on the weight of your selections. Once weighted, the kitchen will cook your concoction for you based on your selection of the sauce. All sauces were spicy and numbing. You can also choose lite spiciness, mid spiciness or extreme spiciness. This is the first time I’d tried this and I actually enjoyed the numbing and hot peppers flavor very much. I pride myself on eating spicy food, but I opted for lite spiciness here and it was plenty spicy for me. The prices were reasonable and the quantity was fulfilling for the items on the menu. You can also choose from glass noodle, rice noodle or instant noodle for your carb. I had the rice noodle and it was very well made. My wife selected the least spiciest sauce, the beef bone soup, with beef and it was just a bit spicy, but plenty of numbness.“
“We went there in the evening for the dinner and it was amazing. Even though this might be the first review for this restaurant, I always eat in here and the taste was amazing. I usually go with the dry pot and it was so delicious and they served the food very fast as long as you ordered it.“
“My husband and I come every Sunday to eat a medium dry pot. Food is very good, the portions are huge and the staff is very friendly. We've tried almost every combination and everything is fresh and tasty.Parking: Don't even waste your time with upstairs parking. Park downstairs so you can hurry up and eat.“
“The last time I had Guilin noodles was when I was in Guilin and purposes some roadside. It was served in a plastic bag, but it was one of the more comforting noodles I've had. Years later I noticed a few Guilin noodles place pop up. I decided to give this high Yelp-rated one a try!Food: Guilin noodles in soup with medium spice level - Thicker yet smooth rice noodles in a savory broth. Medium spice is perfect for me. Came with sliced meats and some pickled vegetables. Service: Very friendly wait staff. The waitress made various recommendations. She sold me on the chrysanthemum tea. It was good! Environment: The outdoor seating area is larger than the indoor seating. Came here on a weekday for lunch and it was near empty. Price: It's pretty reasonably priced for a large bowl of noodle soup. Food: 4Service: 5Environment: 4Price: 5“
“The food and service have improved significantly since we dined in 2 years ago. Everything we ordered, from combination fried rice, sausage rice to joy pot, were excellent and big portions. Milk tea is consistently good and tastes like authentic tea not some fake powdery stuff. Staff were great and food came out quickly. We will visit there more often.“
“Malubianbian is so good! My friends and I enjoyed our hot pot experience. Make sure to stop by the sauce bar and make your own sauce or two while you’re waiting for them to bring out the food.We got the half bone soup base and half flaming spicy soup. Even at mild for the spicy soup, it was still quite spicy. My favorite meats and veggies are the angus beef, lamb, napa cabbage, tong ha, fried tofu skin, pumpkin, mushrooms, okra and soft tofu. The world spicy world glass noodles were super bomb, but also super spicy and numbing. I could only have a few bites, but the texture was excellent and flavor was on point.Highly recommend going back to the dessert bar afterwards and getting a bowl of brown sugar jelly dessert to cool down.“
“Hands down the one of the most authentic Hong Kong style cafe in LA: great cafe food, great pricing, and mediocre service. Their chicken steak baked spaghetti, pork chop pineapple bun sandwiches and red bean iced milk drink is my go-to favorite.Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly, lots of people bring their kids“
“Absolutely love this place. Located in the heart of Alhambra and on the corner of the intersection. Large parking lot located in the back, but it can fill up during busy hours. The meat was terrific and the self serve items were numerous. I really liked that the drinks and soft serve ice cream were self serve as well. Plenty of tables inside and kept clean. I really wish they were open a little later. I’m sure they have bathrooms, but I didn’t see where they were. I’ll definitely be going back as often as I’m in the area.“
“I got a tomato based pot and really enjoyed how customizable the hotpot is. Despite the name, my friends and I all didn't feel like our hotpots were particularly spicy (the spice is diy via the sauce station). Fresh veggies, good variety, decent price for value. If you are on an allium free diet, their tomato broth does not have onion / garlic which is a plus!“
“Crossing the bridge noodles came from a legendary story in China. Regardless of the story I love love love these noodles. Piping hot soup in a stone pot and you add all the topping in yourself. This spot never fails to satisfy my noodle cravings.“
“Went there last night with friends on rainy day. It was really good, feel like back home eating hot pot. The service were fantastic, the servers were friendly and cute and nice, very helpful. The only thing was too COLD! Also we hope they can sing longer time. It was entertaining and the song was good. We have to drove an hour there. It's worth it. We definitely go again next time.“
“I went there on a sunday evening with a friend. There was ample parking. It wasn't crowded. We ordered a Dirty Latte and a Red Bean Teaser. The latte has a bit of sugar in it to my surprise. But it was good. The place has a lot of seats.“
“You don't want to miss this authentic Taiwanese spicy hot pot. Best in California. Hands down. For a truly unforgettable hot pot experience, look no further. From the moment you step inside, you're transported to a world of culinary delight. Prepare to be wowed by the taste of food and the exceptional service, both of which deserve rave reviews.“
“Open 5 to 10 dailyOutdoor seatings only We got the special and it was pretty good. Upgrade the soup base for $4. Worth it. I tried the tomato soup base and it has some salmon, a shrimp, and mussel added in. Very flavorful. The crab soup base was spicy and added additional 1/2 crab. Service good. Outdoor seatings ok on a cool night. Very decent Shabu for this price. We will come back!“
“Decided to visit to this spot-on Thanksgiving Day 2023! Honestly, not sure what to expect, as soon we walked in, we were happily greeted and seated right away! I noticed there were a ton of to go orders. Partner and I were craving our typical Chinese food orderSalt and Pepper Calamari – Crunchy, seasoned well, not too spicySzechwan Eggplant – hint of spice, stayed hot (temperature wise) the whole timeBeef Chow Fun w gravy – Tender beef, flavorful noodsDuck – typical, very good except, it came out room temp.BBQ Pork – Typical and just like the duck – room temp.If you are in or near the area and can’t get to Alhambra or Rosemead, let’s say you live in Whittier, City of Industry, Avocado Heights then this is your spot. =)Missing star – I was quite surprised at the price of 2 Bbq item combo $31? Check out how small the portion was.“
“I made a special trip because I was craving Sichuan and hot pot. This was well worth the drive. Plenty of meat and vegetable options. I was seated right away for lunch but they do take reservations online for parties of six or more. The staff were friendly with a lot of great recommendations. I definitely loved the spicy pot especially with the beef.Vegetarian options: Clearly marked vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: Vegetarian and vegan broth optionsParking: Free 90 minute parking lotWheelchair accessibility: All one level with ramps“
“Food/Taste/ - good food overall. We ordered beef belly, lamb, pork intestines, king oyster mushrooms, and chicken wings. The chicken wings are amazing! Nicely seasoned and very moist; probably the best item we ate. The mushrooms are good but the earthiness is completely covered by the seasoning so not our favorite. Beef belly was a bit bland, the lamb was mostly seasoning but delicious, and the pork intestine was great. - very quiet during lunch hour in the spacious restaurant. The two chairs are the exact size of the table so it's fairly difficult to push in and out of your seat if you're shifted either direction. - server definitely felt like she didn't want to be there. The table next to us asked for their candles to be lit so the food stayed warmer and she gave a heavy sigh before walking away to get the lighter. When she delivered the skewers, she threw it on the plate without a word then walked away immediately.Value for - yummy food in general, service was quick but cold, and reasonable pricing.“
“Came here to try the liuzhou rice noodles so this review is limited to that, not their hotpot items. The noodle was tasty, especially with the chili oil, although some might not think it's the most authentic version. There are plenty of toppings and the bowl was quite filling.I like my noodle soup steaming hot and thought it could be improved a bit. They do have an induction stove on the table for hotpot and keeping your bowl warm. I just didn't want to wait while the noodle is soaking in the soup already. An an entry level 螺蛳粉 fan, it was still a very decent lunch.“
“This was a venture my son wanted to go on. We settled on this location because it was closer. It's located in a strip mall and can be missed if you don't see the sign. The location is small, but quaint with the anime art on the walls. The food was good , but I could of definitely eaten another bowl of ramen to fill me up. The atmosphere was nice as it's also a good ramen place to eat at in general. Would definitely eat here again. They dibhave another location in Montclair.“
