“Alright, alright, I won't gatekeep Tacos Los Cuates any longer. It had been a few months since I'd last been here, and I was just about to be completely heartbroken when I drove up and didn't find Tacos Los Cuates in its usual spot. Thankfully, drove a little further and found them on the opposite side of the street! This is my go-to spot whenever I'm visiting the 626 area, and it's on par with some of my favs in downtown LA.Although I don't speak Spanish and there's definitely a language barrier, the lady taking my order is always so patient, and other customers around are willing to jump in to help. As a small-statured Asian lady, I've always felt safe and cared for, despite the dark and unassuming location of this taco spot. Ok now, onto the food. They have a variety of meats including asada, buche, pastor, tripa, suadero, cabeza, and buche. My go-to choices are their asada, buche, pastor, and suadero, and I'm hoping they'll bring back my favorite of them all - lengua! I'm usually not a huge fan of pastor that comes with pineapples, but this place does it well and it's freshly sliced from a trompo! Now I've been to a lot of taco trucks and stands, but the way they marinate their meat makes all of the tacos so perfectly flavored and deliciously juicy. I have never had a dry taco here. I also love their quesadillas with your choice of meat inside. After you order, you go and bag your own limes, cilantro and onion, and there are small cups for the sauces - rojo, Verde, and what I assume is an avocado-like verde. All three are delicious, and you should definitely get them. This time, I was ordering for a bunch of family, and they handled our large order of 35 tacos perfectly. Service was fast, and we were in and out in under 20 minutes, even with several folks in line ahead and behind us.*hot tip: they are one of the only places I know that still does Taco Tuesday for $1!!!*hotter tip: they only take cash, Venmo, and Zelle so plan accordingly!*hottest tip: if you are ordering for a large group, order in plates (i.e., each person is a plate), and they'll just stack it in the order you placed them.“

“I absolutely love this churro spot!! The churros are always fresh. It will not disappoint. I will say there is always a line but totally worth the wait. The service is great and everyone is really friendly. The ambiance is outdoors and is in a food truck. It's in between a bunch of street vendors so keep in mind when you try to find the place. Definitely check this out!!“

“(Translated by Google) It is very nice that you go out looking for something and find gold, in this place you can find exquisite crepes, the attention is great (the same owner takes care of you) so the service is quite good even with the long queue, plus they are 4-5 dollars more Cheaper than in other businesses in the area, but they also have mini pancakes and Yucatecan marquesitas(Original)Muy agradable que salgas buscando una cosa y encuentres oro, en este lugar encuentras crepas exquisitas, la atención es genial (la misma dueña te atiende) por lo que el servicio es bastante bueno aún teniendo la fila considerable, además están 4 - 5 dólares más baratas que en otros negocios de la zona, pero además tienen minipancakes y marquesitas yucatecas“

“What an unexpected delightful surprise! So glad my better half and I came here for dinner. Went to Dollar Tree to pick up some holiday decorations for work. All that browsing through Dollar Tree made us hungry. So pretty much our decisions as we exited the Dollar Tree parking lot were El Pollo Loco, Taco Bell or this place, Birria Masters. We decided we wanted to try something new and went with Birria Masters. We are so glad that we did. So here's the rundown: For ambiance, it's a food stand in a parking lot. Unpretentious, simple tables and benches. Does its job. Don't let it's appearance deter you from going. For service, there were three gentlemen. All were nice and inviting. Excellent customer service. We ordered the enchiladas queretanas and taquitos dorados. Food presentation and taste was unexpected. Both dishes were beautiful. What got me with the dishes is that they were elevated but in an understated way. They used microgreen sprouts. I love sprouts and if a place uses them in their plating, in my opinion, they are fancy fancy and they know what they are doing. The taste of both dishes were delicious as well. The meat was seasoned and cooked well. The produce they use was fresh and again, they used microgreen sprouts. I don't know any other food/taco stand that uses microgreen sprouts...do you? I don't think so. I think that if you are deciding on a place to go and have dinner, please give Birria Masters a try. I hope that when you try their food you will be pleasantly surprised as we were. Birria Masters is definitely a diamond in the rough.“
