“An absolute favorite that I am sure to visit on every trip to the Bay. Very unique fusions of Indian and Californian flavors with something for every palate. My favorites are the sesame leaf, burrata kulcha, house salad and dry boat scallops. Also don’t sleep on the cocktails. Very nicely crafted.“
“Delicious comfort food, beautifully located. I'm rating the service and atmosphere down since they outsource their ordering process in the restaurant to an app - this makes me use my phone even more and I wonder if next time they also ask me to grill the burger myself.Parking: Fills up on a weekend“
“The lobster and crab are always fresh. My favorite are the crab tacos with cole slaw and house-made chips. Always so flavorful. My husband loves the lobster tails, perfectly cooked and served with a roll and melted butter. Adequate wine selection, better beer selection. Good service!“
“Super cute cafe with amazing drinks and food with hints of Asian influence. I ordered the black sesame latte and the ricotta yuzu toast. The toast was especially impressive in the way in brought together a variety of flavors. Everything about the interior was modern. cozy and picturesque and I had really enjoyed staying here and working on sketches.I do want to note that I arrived on a Friday around 2pm and the place was pretty packed and their pastries had already sold out. I would come back earlier next time for the croissants :)“
“This has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants. The dishes are creative, packed with flavor, and are expertly and consistently prepared. I enjoy sitting at the Chef's Counter to watch these professionals at work. The service is quick and consistent (in my experience); they have a lot of staff and they know what they are doing. The dishes are small and the bill mounts up in a hurry. That works well for me; I like the variety and I do not need large quantities. But be prepared for that. The charred sugar snap peas are the perfect starter. Go from there!“
“This store is great! It’s so clean and they have an amazing selection of their refreshing coconut puddings. I definitely recommend trying the mango mochi pudding and the roasted yam? For drinks, you NEED to get the pinky coco ice bomb- it’s the valentines special drink and it’s a pineapple and coconut smoothie it’s SO GOOD!“
“Excellent flavors. I enjoyed the Spitfire Chicken Salad. The assortment of dips including Baba ghanoush and Tzatziki was outstanding. The pita bread was fresh and warm. This is a small takeout place, with just a couple of tables for in house dining like we did. But everything we ordered was really good. The food took its time arriving, but it was worth the wait.Parking: Very small parking lot. Very steep ramp on entry near Safeway lot (scraped bottom of car pulling in). Use the Ralston entry instead.“
“New favorite spot. It's really good quality food, super healthy, and at a great price. The place is very clean and modern on the inside. And the drinks were great. Coming back soon.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options. Plenty.“
“The experience I've had coming back to this place was outstanding, I took the opportunity to try something new based on our server's recommendation, and wow they nailed it. This type of interaction provides me with the trust of keep coming back and not get disappointed.“
“A lovely meal. The chef is super creative in the use of vegetables and original sauces. Nice selection of wines by the glass, which our server was happy to let me taste before ordering. Highly recommend the cauliflower starter and the chickpea risotto, which were quite exceptional. The baked cod however was a bit too salty. And we needed to order some bread to cleanse our palate afterwards. They did offer to remake the fish which was thoughtful, but it would have interrupted the flow of our dinner at that stage. That said, it was a great experience overall. And don't skip the s'mores desert!“
“I would highly recommend the black sesame with coconut filling birthday cake. It is so yummy and not sweet. Great and friendly customer service. I have ordered the same birthday cake two months in a row. This will be my Go To place for getting birthday cakes. Please support our local restaurants.“
“We had the most delicious meal last night at Protégé. Each course of the tasting menu was perfection. At the end we couldn't choose a favorite because they were all equally incredible. Our server, Fleur, was so knowledgeable about the food and the wine and gave us wonderful recommendations for the perfect wines to compliment the various courses. The whole experience was wonderful and I can't wait to go back sometime.Dietary restrictions: They made sure they were aware of all of my dietary restrictions and ensured the food I was served was safe for me to eat by making small adjustments when needed.“
“Cuban Overall: A very solid option for Cuban food in the Bay Area.Would I come back: Yes indeed I’ll be back. The extended review…Food:Ropa Vieja - 4/5 - A very solid dish! It’s hard to find this dish in the Bay Area so when I found it I was very happy. - Friendly and attentive service. - A cute little spot with some indoor and outdoor seating.“
“What a great discovery for me! I was waiting to order a sandwich close by, but it was taking too long. So, I walked over to Big Brothers Burgers and ordered the classic with fries. Wow! It was so huge yet delicious! Great service, and the ambiance was nice too. Highly recommend!“
“This is THE best and authentic Greek food in CA. The staff, food and atmosphere is worth the wait and travel. Marcos and Rafeal have been part of my experience over the last two trips to CA for business and every time I have brought someone new and for business. You will NOT be disappointed.“
“This is our first time going to the restaurant. They opened right before Covid. And have been in business for a little over four years. It was easy to get a reservation and we had outside dining on the sidewalk with two heaters. The service was great. Our server was fantastic. Our table, ordered chicken, fish, and pasta, and the quality and proportions were extremely fine. Generous portions. And the prices unbeatable. And they took Apple Pay at Table. Definitely will make this a restaurant for us to visit the future.“
“Had a great time at PHB. Service was on point. Food was great. Menu online looked interesting, and the food did not disappoint. I'll definitely be back. Good selection of craft cocktails. If you're in the area and want to have a great dinner and atmosphere, stop by. I recommend making a reservation to make sure you don't wait and get seated.“
“We found this place roughly a month ago, and the owner and head chef named Josh is arguably one of the best steps I've ever met, I come from chefs background used to be a corporate chef years ago, and the food and quality of service at this location is arguably the best I've ever dealt with, including French laundry. I highly recommend this restaurant to anybody who is interested in an outstanding service, outstanding food and outstanding ambience. We will definitely continue to go back to this location as many times as we can.“
“Sat in the back patio, which was nice and warm and covered. Food was solid. We didn’t like the pear burrata special, but the pizzas were quality (we got the sausage honey and sausage broccolini pizzas). The bread pudding dessert was solid too. Overall, recommend this “
“Great spot for a date or just a night out. There is parking along the front. There are tons of seats available with some near heating like the fire pit or the heat posts. You order abs they bring it to you. The service was quick and the drinks were delivered to our table warning 10mins. The staff is very quick to clean also. The beer selection is great and there is something for everyone!“
“My skepticism about vegan food and that it may have only limited choices was shattered at this place. Menu is pretty elaborate and can very well satiate quite a few people with different tastes. Drink options are nice too. Definitely recommending this place, and going back some time soon.“
“A coffee roaster and cafe located in California, USA. It started in San Francisco in 2013, and as the city is named after Saint Francis, the coffee house is also named that way. Like St. Francis, they form a network with small coffee farms around them and work together to achieve mutual benefit. It's a branch located at the Menlo Park Caltrain station, but from a distance it looks like just a counter, so you wouldn't even know it was a coffee shop. When you get close, you can smell the fragrant coffee. Feels like Blue Bottle coffee with a mild sour taste. The neighborhood itself is quiet and there's a train station in front, so it's a great place to have a quiet coffee.Review on January 26, 2024A cafe located in Menlo Park, California. This is a branch of St. Frank, a roastery in San Francisco. Menlo Park is a city bordering Palo Alto (Stanford) and has a similar quiet and safe atmosphere. Mountain View, adjacent to the south, has an urban feel, while this place has a California feel.Where would you like to get coffee near Stanford, including Palo Alto, Mountain View, and Menlo Park? This is the first place that comes to mind. It's not a fancy place, located in a container in the parking lot behind Mentor Park Caltrain Station, but the coffee tastes amazing, and the atmosphere is great as you watch the Caltrain pass by. Of course, since there are only outdoor tables, sunglasses are a must.St. Frank Roastery has several of its own stores, but also supplies products to other cafes. San Francisco's favorite cafe, Coffee Movement, also uses coffee beans from here.It seems like it was just yesterday that I was riding my bike every day and drinking a glass of Flat White during the pandemic, but time flies so quickly.“
“Two visits about a decade apart; I am a regular! I have nothing bad to say-service is good and prompt, food fresh and hot...had an outstanding draft German Pilsner last weekend. It had been a very long time since I had a draft German beer. Lesson for me? Take a break from the strong CA IPAs once in awhile. :)“
“What a hidden gem we stumbled upon! It was 9:00 am on a Friday, right as they were opening their doors, and already there was a buzz of activity with people streaming in and placing their orders. Overall, it was a delightful experience. I absolutely adored it. And let me tell you, their coffee? To die for! (Haha!)Their menu offers such a unique selection of dishes that you won't find elsewhere. I'd even go as far as to say it's one-of-a-kind. I opted for the croque madam, and let me tell you, it was a generous portion size! My boyfriend went for the scrambles, and he was equally impressed. The owner or general manager was incredibly attentive, which only added to the overall positive vibe of the place. Thanks a bunch! We'll definitely be back for more!“
“We ate at La Viga Seafood & Cocina Mexicana. It was nice. I thought it would be a bit fancier because I saw it recommended somewhere. The seafood dish with different kinds was really good, especially the shrimp. The tacos cost $6 each, which seemed a lot, but they tasted great. The chips were the best part—they were not greasy and very crunchy. They gave us two kinds of sauce; the green one was the best. The cold beer was also really good with the food. Even though I expected something a bit different, we liked it a lot and want to go back to try more dishes.“
“This Pakistani restaurant stands out as one of the finest I've visited! The food is always fresh, and the service is top-notch. Zareen herself is a wonderful person, and the chai they serve is quite good too. It's worth noting that they're usually bustling, especially during weekend lunch and dinner hours. My favorites here include the naan, chapli kabob sizzler, chicken sizzler, beef and chicken rolls, and mango lassi.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Options are just as good - Palak Paneer, Tikka Massala, Veg Samosa, Aaloo Tikki (AMAZING), Chopped Salad, Vegetarian Thali, Tarka Daal and Madras Curry“
“A special homemade cakeThe outer crunchy honeycomb layer melts in your mouth and is very sweet, the creme and yellow cake is mildly sweet. My favorite part was the cremeEasy phone ordering and pick upThe 6" was plenty for six people, it would have been enough for eight“
“I think that food from a Mediterranean food truck might just be my love language. I visited in the evening and the service was quick and the food was excellent. I tried the Jerusalem Shakshuka (meatballs and poached eggs in a spiced tomato sauce) and the chicken on rice. Both came with salad, pita bread, and both easily qualified as more than a full meal. I'll happily come back any time I'm around and looking for delicious food.“
“A nice spot for some drinks, music & rotating food carts. It gets busy so plan accordingly. There is a reasonable amount of parking but again… fills up. Numerous drink options — some tasty sours, hazy & IPAs. The food cart items can be hit or miss.“
“Oh El Metate!!! The best Mexican taqueria in the peninsula. Look no further this place is a the closest thing to being in Mexico. The decor is awesome, it is clean and the service is above expectations. There are no better chorizo tacos anywhere, I promised! They have a good variety of meats and all of them are well prepared and always hot. The pinto beans and cheese burrito is my ten year old son's favorite! It is tasty and fresh. We try another taquerias around the neighborhood and they aren't bad, but el Metate is way above the rest.“
“Very good food, lots of options great service nice employees, not too expensive but in a sort of strange location. But I do go here semi constantly. I would recommend you try once if you are a fan of sandwiches, just know they are quite big so do not expect to eat the whole thing while you are there.“
“Don't listen to negativity regarding ALLSPICE— this is a hidden jewel whose cuisine will blow you away for its creativity, flavor and inventiveness. The veggie dishes fully hold up to any of the meat entrees, really extraordinary— light, luscious. The wine pairings are excellent and reasonably priced. Michelin is rarely wrong and here, doesn't even do just to the romantic combination of class and elegance. Best place for date night I know...“
“Alpha Acid is a great place to enjoy a good beer. The menu is diverse enough to cover adventuresome palates (e.g. sours, barrel aged ales), folks who just want a solid, dependable ale, and people who want to try something more approachable to one who's not a hard-core beer drinker. Lots of seating where you can relax and perhaps play a board game. Usually, there's a food truck nearby if you're hungry.“
“This is my first time visiting Itálico for my birthday! The food is excellent. The service was phenomenal and everyone absolutely delightful. Michael was so attentive and hospitable! He genuinely wanted to get to know my family and I, and was so sweet. Super profesional and kind to all. He made my family feel super welcomed and felt like a queen on my birthday! Our server was also Carlos was absolutely excellent and gave amazing service to us and everyone else!! He was so funny and always made sure we were all good. I recommend everyone try this restaurant! Graziie Mille Michael . -Haydee “
“This restaurant has a very stunning open design and inviting atmosphere, it has a very beautiful interior design and an interesting feature of books set on the walls, paired with comfortable seating. The staff, mainly mexican were all very hardworking and friendly. It's Pakistani cuisine that is not comparable to any other restaraunt I have seen, it's very healthy and it's oily at all mostly with grilled dishes. Our meal included naan and garlic naan, Beef Chapli Kabab and Grilled Chicken Boti Sizzlers, and masala fries with a spicy ranch dip, each dish tasted amazing with flavor and quality. The kababs and grilled chicken, was outstanding, solid 10/10 for taste. Service was very quick and it was a very enjoyable visit for our family. I highly reccomend this joint to anyone seeking top-tier Pakistani cuisine in a beautiful setting.“
“***For scones and cateringJust like to give a big shout out to Ingrid who was a dream to work with from the start to finish! She was responsive, diligent, and made the holiday craziness a lot smoother. And the scones were a big hit at our event! 5 stars all around :)“
“Vegetarian / vegan wrap perfect for Good Friday. The Turkish double espresso was delicious and not gross like the bitter American roasters. I got fries, but did not realize lentil soup is on the menu. Next time. Operated by family, doesn’t get better than that.Dietary restrictions: Halal“
“What a fantastic experience! The lady who served us was incredibly kind and friendly, and the atmosphere of the place felt so welcoming, just like their menu. While we only sampled the empanadas, they had an enticing variety of other dishes. We're definitely planning to return to savor the Chimichurri sandwich and indulge in the beef, spinach & mushroom empanadas again - these were our absolute favorites today. We highly recommend this spot; plus, there's plenty of parking, and the outdoor view is simply breathtaking.“
“What more can I say, the biscotti from La Biscotteria is the best there is. I discovered this on a trip to Redwood City and am only heartbroken to live so far away - but then realized they also ship biscotti, so if you're in my situation, you're also in luck! I've ordered so many biscotti now I can't live without it. Thank you La Biscotteria for the best biscotti ever! :)“
“We are faithful diners at this local neighborhood cafe . The owner is always so cordial in his greeting of us and the staff always are so courteous and have smiles despite the busy atmosphere of this Valentine's dinner . The dedicated menu for the evening was sufficient to please the diverse palates ( though our friend who received the duck breast choice was a bit displeased because the slices were very thin and small compared to what was usually served to others ) but taste wise he said it was very good . The seabass and the lamb choices were delicious ... no complaints there !! We love this cafe and look forward to returning and ordering from their usual menu ( esp. the squid ink pasta which is a FAVORITE ♥️) I highly recommend this cafe for a dining choice ??“
“Ambiance is arty, comfortable and lovely. Menu had great choices and the 3 of us were so pleased with our choices. I brought home the leftovers and they were just as delicious the next day. We had the mushrooms, Brussels sprouts, shrimp and the crab ‘taco'. The winter sangria was delicious and full body with rich red wine and port YUM just right for this time of year!“
“Ist time here and impressed. Wanted coffee in a real cup and almond croissant and stayed for the ambiance! Italian music playing in the background and a window seat to view the creek. Talk about relaxing ☺️ A lot of locals here so I know they've found a great spot!!!They offer breakfast and lunch, will have to try these another time. Can imagine this spot with the umbrellas on a summer morning. Give it a try ❤️“
“We've been going to Gabriel and Daniel's for a while whenever we have sports at Murray Field. The whole staff there is so friendly. Plus, their food is just awesome. So when it came time for a party, we knew they would be the perfect fit. We worked with Leonor who was fabulous to figure out the menu for 30 people. I was happy to pick up the entire order to go at their restaurant, but they said they had an option to deliver and set up. I was not expecting much but they absolutely overdelivered and then some. They said they needed around a half hour to set up at our house, which seemed like a while to me, but I totally trusted them, and I knew they knew what they were doing. Sure enough they ended up being so thoughtful and patient were basically food artists in how everything was prepared and presented. Leonor and Gabriel brought frames with descriptions of every dish including a dispenser for the horchata. My wife and I were totally blown away with not only the quality and presentation, but how above and beyond we felt they went for our event. We had most of the items on their menu, including fajitas, quesadillas, burritos, guacamole, and a few other things. There were several different types of sauces and dips too. All of our friends commented how phenomenal the food was, and we were really glad to share a new restaurant that many of them were not familiar with. We hope the others will see this review and consider catering with them for an event. You will not be disappointed.“
“We love Vino Locale! Nice ambiance, great wine list, and solid snacks to enjoy. Of of the best things about Vino Locale is that the wine list isn't just the same 5 wines that you see at many other places, they offer a great variety of domestic & international wines, and treat each one well. I love the Sancerre on the menu, and appreciate that they offer 6oz or 9oz pours, half bottles, and full bottles. The Black Cabra Cabernet Sauvignon and Miraval Rose are also among my favorites. In terms of food items, I usually gravitate toward the chicken skewers are a good option and come with a few flavor/sauce options. The beet salad is good, and I often get their Brussels sprouts (know what to expect, though: they're not fried/crispy, but are tasty - served with parmesan, cranberries, almonds, and optional bacon). The cheese plates and hummus platter are also good, reliable options. Service is so friendly! They have a nice dog-friendly patio (and often have a few treats for pups), and live music most Thursday evenings.“
“Six stars! After greeting us, our waiter asked if we had any allergies--so appreciated since I have celiac. He told me they are careful about cross-contamination, don't use shared friers, and can make most things on the menu gluten free (menu is well-marked, too). Our tastey food and drinks came out almost immediately, and we weren't sitting around forever waiting to pay when we were ready. The whole staff was cheerful, the space had cool decorations, and the interior was naturally lit. Such a nice date brunch spot.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan marked on the menu, plenty of optionsDietary restrictions: Gluten free marked on the menu, plenty of options, celiac friendly kitchen practices“
“I absolutely love this place, the food is great, good quality and reasonably priced.I frequently order for lunch or dinner, and food is always SO GOOD.Visited the place for the first time and is a very clean place, with good energy, and these lovely ladies that were on top of my order and treated me like a queen.Highly recommend the Super Burritos (is my favorite dish here) and quite unique, have not found another place as good as them.“
“My family just tried this relatively new restaurant for brunch on Sunday and so glad we did! It was a beautiful day out and even though there were plenty of tables inside and out, my daughter opted to eat inside. After you walk in, you order and pay before finding yourself a place to sit. We were in a bit of a rush since my daughter had a soccer game nearby, and the employee was very nice and said she would rush our order and put our drinks in to go cups even though we were dining there. The menu offers a variety of options to choose from, including Korean staples like fried chicken and rice cakes, as well as salads, burgers and croffles (cross between a croissant and a waffle). They also serve specialty coffees, boba teas, cocktails, beer and wine. We sampled the chicken croffle, fish and ships and shrimp fettucine alfredo. I must say, all the food was delicious! The fried chicken that went with the croffle was seasoned well and was very crispy, like it was double battered. I had never tried a croffle before, but it was really tasty! It came with sliced grapes and strawberries. My only complaint is that the dish was swimming in syrup. It wasn't overly sweet, but I would have preferred the syrup on the side. I'll know to order that next time! The fish and chips included 2 large pieces of fish and seasoned fries. The fish was pretty good, but the fries were excellent! At first I was reluctant to let my 8 year old order a $20 pasta dish, but with 5 large shrimps and prosciutto mixed in the sauce, it was definitely worth it. It was a generous portion and tasted like carbonara! Highly recommend! My daughter also ordered a mango drink with lychee jelly, which she enjoyed and I had an iced orange grapefruit black tea that was really refreshing. I was pretty impressed with Corner Kitchen. Happy to see that the place had a steady stream of customers coming in while we were dining there. I hope this place stays awhile! I can't wait to go back and try more things, especially the Korean dishes!!“
“Celebrating my mom, she had the half roast Mary's chicken & zucchini, bf had the “special” filet mignon & mashed potatoes and cab ? & I had the NY steak, mashed potatoes & asparagus. NY steak always delish. Lovely presentation with the flowers ? Usually to-go for me, never get the flower ? Thank you Asta. Walked by this afternoon spotted your sign “prime rib” special tonite, popped in to ask Asta for the deets. Had to come back for this. OMFG sooo delish, huge slice of prime rib (Pape Meat Co ??) creamed spinach (dreamy) mashed potatoes and green salad ❤️ the croutons. Please no goat cheese on the green salad ☹️ for me. Just don't like ??♀️ Please keep this on ur rotation. Thank you Asta & Ziggy.“
“Delicious. I don't like that they don't take reservations (annoying, get over yourself JS) but their food is freaking amazing. Will someone please give me like 10 of their scones to eat RIGHT NOW?Hakuna Frittata is wonderful; everything is wonderful. Get here EARLY on the weekends (like, before they open), they get very crowded.“
“As an update, it's worth calling out how much the current owners have improved this shop. It's cleaner, brighter, the service is fast, etc. They clearly care and are putting in lots of effort and attention. It's always had good beans and coffee, but everything else is just better now. Top notch place, check it out!“
