“Stopped in for a later lunch after strolling around the LA Zoo for a few hours. Unfortunately, they were out of beef shawarma (and don't serve it with lamb), so Jim G. and I opted to share the Rib Eye Plate. We had to wait about 8 minutes or so for the rib eye to cook, which is totally fine. The plate is massive! All the sides on it, plus eggplant and fries on another plate. We also opted to order a little falafel to taste and they were very tasty! The rib eye was but there wasn't really a lot of it there. I realize it's an expensive meat, but the $30 plate cost is comparably more expensive than the other meats. We shared a bottle of red wine ($37) and chilled out with our friends, who all enjoyed their food, too. Huge parking lot in the back, with just a short walk to get to the front of the shopping center, where Tel Aviv is.“
“I am a caterer and I came all the way from Las Vegas to buy kosher meat here for a Thanksgiving dinner client. The turkeys were perfect and the rib roast I ordered were expertly butchered to my chef's exacting specifications. I was impressed with how much selection they had available on the Tuesday before the holiday. The butcher was extremely accommodating despite it being late in the day when I arrived with no pre-order, and they seemed very eager and appreciative to earn my business, which puts them head and shoulders above the very few kosher butchers I have available in Las Vegas. I HIGHLY recommend this butcher team at Mr Kosher Tarzana.“

“As always, dinner at Milky Way was special. Fish and Chips, Mini Chimichangas, Seafood Chowder, and Impossible Cheeseburger all exceptional. Service by Takiya was great again(my wife was able to switch raw onions to carmelized onion and American cheese to Swiss cheese.). My mother chose the chili to start fish and chips rather than salad options. Ambiance? Like going to your favorite aunt for a meal.“

“This restaurant is the Epitome of Taco paradise! They have the most amazing meat, it's so fresh and delicious. The restaurant is in an interesting location, but it's so fun! The staff is very attentive and gracious. You order from the monitors on the wall and they bring the food to you. Their details are impeccable, they have to go dishes out for you to grab if you need them and various condiments and such. Go early, parking is just street parking and that's very rare to find. Also, their birthday celebration is very cute! Go for your Bday and try it out.“

“This is the best salad you will find. You get to choose all the ingredients yourself. So fresh and so many choices. And they will toss it for you. They cook the chicken fresh, so it comes out hot and juicy. I like to eat my salad there in a bowl with a metal fork (no plastic). Yummy. Worth every penny.“

“Absolutely adorable family-owned Kosher candy shop! Many of my friends who grew up in the area have fond childhood memories of scoring a sweet treat at this old fashioned candy store. If you are attending a bar mitzvah, bat mitzvah, bris or Jewish wedding anytime soon, this is an excellent place to get a nice gift basket or party platter for the occasion. When you enter the store, there will be tables on your right followed by a great-looking ready-to-scoop ice cream selection under the glass a big menu and an attentive staff member to help you make a selection and ring you up. Take your time filling a plastic bag with unique homemade candy from around the world. My favorites are flavors like saffron marzipan white chocolate with pistachio and rose. I stumbled upon this place because I had a meeting a few blocks away and had to check it out because of its super old school looking storefront. If something looks like it's been around that long, you know it's doing something right! Its a small basic little kosher deli with sandwiches, deli meat, fresh made knishes and other Jewish pastries. I just wanted a little snack, and got a chicken knish and it was amazing, just like my grandmother used to make them! While he was heating it up, we chatted for a bit and he told me the shop has been there since 1942 i believe and that he's the 3rd generation owner. He's the sweetest old man. He also offered me a sample of his lox that he makes himself with no nitrates, along with a chicken tender. The lox was some of the best I've ever had, it wasn't too salty and was super buttery and melted in your mouth. The chicken tender was great as well. If your looking for a great old school no frills kosher deli, look no further, this is your spot!“

What a treat... although wasn't very hungry, couldn't resist to eat with great appetite.One glitch, the fried eggplant was soak with oil.. also its known to. “Of all the kosher pizza places in the valley, LA Pizza has the best pizza by far. I've been in the area for a couple of decades and I've tried all of the kosher pizza places out here. None of the other ones compare. The other places do weird stuff like have sweet crust or add sesame seeds to their crust or their crust is too thick or their sauce just ain't quite right. LA Pizza has pizza down. Plus, their salad dressing is pretty great too. That's why LA Pizza is still thriving even after that trash competitor restaurant opened up next door.Compared to non-kosher pizza restaurants, it is on the mid-expensive side but it's not more expensive than other kosher pizza spots out here.Maybe I'm semi-biased because I grew up going here and I met my first GF here but their pizza is the best in the area. “Bibi's was the third stop on our little self-made hamantaschen tasting tour of LA, and it was the RUNAWAY WINNER! They didn't look great sitting there in the case, and there were only three left--two apricot and one chocolate. The person working there suggested the apricot, and--none of us really into apricot--we prepared to be disappointed. But wow! The taste was unparalleled. Perfect texture, good filling, good filling-to-cookie ratio... It was also far less expensive than the other places we tried. Win-win! Hands down, Bibi's makes the best hamantaschen in town. To my surprise, it have a vast range of Israeli products you can't really find outside of Israel. They also had a small assortment of Judaic available and ready to go options.
