“We stopped here to get ice cream the other day, and we're very glad we did. The flavors were really excellent, especially the salted caramel, which I think may have only been a temporary flavor. (My girlfriend remarked that it was one of the best ice cream flavors she had ever had.) The prices were quite low, we thought, and the servings very large: A double in a waffle cup was definitely more ice cream than I needed, but I'm not complaining. There are some slight disadvantages of this shop. For example, they won't do normal cups for a single or double scoop, only for a pint or quart, and so you either have to get a waffle cup, which I don't really value, or a metal cup, which means you can't leave. Also, they don't have compostable spoons or anything like that, only offering metal ones, which again means if you're eating from a bowl and don't have your own spoon, you need to stay put. This wasn't the worst thing in the world, because the shop is on a nice town strip with some benches outside, but in a rush it is a bit less convenient than I would like. Also, the store doesn't offer samples, and so you don't really get to try your flavor in advance, but thankfully all the flavors we tried were pretty good. The storefront is also pretty small, and so I can imagine it getting quite busy if a bunch of people go at once, although that wasn't the case for us. All in all, this was a very good ice cream shop, and we definitely recommend it to other people. Try the salted caramel if you can!“

“I was unexpectedly invited to dinner at this restaurant yesterday. The ambiance is warm & convivial- casual yet with the type of attentive service that I've only seen at much more formal (and pricier!) establishments. I have a number of food sensitivities/allergies and dining out can be very challenging but this place had MANY items that I could eat. I've never been to Italy but this struck me as very authentic cuisine- high quality fresh ingredients prepared perfectly and presented beautifully. I had the asparagus salad with grilled chicken added, and prior to the food I had a Macchiato which was also perfect. I tried some of my friends' polenta crepe, also divine. We arrived a bit after 5pm on a Saturday and were seated immediately, just ahead of the evening rush. This was my first visit to Fairfax and I will definitely come back!“

“love love love it here! my mom and I stayed in fairfax for a whole week and we ate here several times. food is amazing, atmosphere is amazing, staff is amazing. special shout out to our main man Ty who remembered us by name and was always super fun and friendly every time we came in. he may even play you a few songs on his guitar if you’re lucky. this place was definitely a highlight of our trip and i’ll miss going there when we leave. we could also tell that this place is a huge hit with the locals which is always nice to see. thanks for all of the great food, drinks, conversations, and songs Barefoot Cafe! until next time! -Ebony“

“It's not often I do take-out, but Bah Mi Ba is my number one spot for it. Everything from the Curry Tofu Bowl to the Impossible Bahn Mi is absolutely delicious and keeps well when being driven home. The online ordering is very convenient and my food has never taken long to come out. The location is perfect, with plenty of nearby parking for a swift pick-up. So glad to have this in the neighborhood.“

“Wow! Downtown Fairfax offers a one-of-a-kind pizzeria and it’s this place. Authentic delicious crust with a large menu of toppings. Always busy with dine-in and take-out. The sauces and cheeses are yummy. The homemade meatballs are super good! The owners are friendly and helpful. And the caesar salad has a house made dressing that is fantastic! Highly recommend!“

“I've been going there I was literally 10 years old I think. The service and the food stand the test of time. It's been amazing since day one and still is amazing today. Fairfax M&G's has hands down the best bacon cheeseburger and fries (don't forget the secret sauce. It's worth it for dipping the ?). Oh and if you're in the mood for dessert the milkshakes are delicious. Just to name a few yummy menu options :). The service is incredible! Everyone is so warm and friendly! My order has never been incorrect or fouled up in any way. Plus, they call your number before u know it.
