“I took my girlfriend out for Valentine's day and was very happy to get reservations the day before, Neither of us had been there before and it got great reviews. The restaurant was very nice, and exactly what I wanted for our special night and the atmosphere, service and quality of food lived up to the reviews. It was quaint, quiet, seating perhaps 25 guests. Service was great , food was delicious, and we had a very nice dinner and I would recommend them wholeheartedlyThe only things I can say that were negative were the parking. Ross has parking spaces in a very limited supply in that area which is not the restaurants fault.The other was the cost, the reviews on line gave $$$ out of 5. I did not want the price of our meal to put a damper on our evening, so I was not caught unprepared when the bill came. I have no problem spending money taking my girlfriend out, , but in this case the cost would make me think twice before returning again. Let me explain - We were having a romantic dinner we shared a salad, and after dinner a wonderful dessert with coffees. She had a glass of wine , I had a beer, with our dinners ,all said and done with tax and tip was 150. Like I said everything was great , just a bit pricey for Italian food for 2 people. Keeping in mind the cost of living has gone up the last 3 years , and we are in Marin, plus being Valentine's Day all played a part in the overall cost. I am glad to see places to dine out are still out there trying to make it after COVID shut so many down .Go try the place out ,eat, drink and make merriment. Decide for yourself if the bang is worth the bucks you spend.Parking: Evening after 530 pm parking is not as bad.“

“i’ve been to a number of indian/nepalese restaurants and let me tell you, this one is easily my favorite.we live over an hour away, but whenever we’re in the marin area for hikes, this is our go to spot.paneer tikka masala is my favorite meal so i get it everytime and it. is. AMAZING. absolutely phenomenal and blows me away everytime i get it. “San Rafael Location…My husband and I were in SF on business. We travel often on business and whenever possible we look to try a local Puerto Rican restaurant, especially because we only have one back home and it’s ok.I’m from Puerto Rico, ?? I L❤️VE Puerto Rican food! The food at Sol Food was delicious! Everything tasted fresh and made to order. Don’t recommend the mofongo, however, everything else was REALLY good! It was our first t experience with shared, “community seating” and it was very nice, great vibe, music and very friendly staff! We did have to stand in line for a few minutes but Sofie came out to greet us, handed us menus and went over the menu with us. Super friendly and professional! My husband ordered half chicken combo and I ordered the steak combo which both included rice & beans, tostones and a nice salad! We added a side of avocado, plus I ordered their chicken soup and also, cafe con leche! Everything was delicious!!! They have a unique menu they don’t serve empanadas, pastelillos or any of the typical fried appetizers.They also have a take out only side next door with a small market. Very smart business model.1 hour drive from San Francisco to San Rafael was definitely worth it! We will definitely be back! “Wonderful place!! We stopped for breakfast on a Sunday at 10:30 and got seated right away despite it being very busy. I had the rainbow omelette which was perfectly cooked and packed with fresh ingredients. My husband just had a bowl of potatoes which were better that the hash browns I ordered. Dishes tried - yellow dal, aloo gobhi, matar paneer, raita, gulab jamun. Everything tasted so good, breads were nice and warm, chai was energizing. Will come back if in the area.“

“We stopped here to get ice cream the other day, and we're very glad we did. The flavors were really excellent, especially the salted caramel, which I think may have only been a temporary flavor. (My girlfriend remarked that it was one of the best ice cream flavors she had ever had.) The prices were quite low, we thought, and the servings very large: A double in a waffle cup was definitely more ice cream than I needed, but I'm not complaining. There are some slight disadvantages of this shop. For example, they won't do normal cups for a single or double scoop, only for a pint or quart, and so you either have to get a waffle cup, which I don't really value, or a metal cup, which means you can't leave. Also, they don't have compostable spoons or anything like that, only offering metal ones, which again means if you're eating from a bowl and don't have your own spoon, you need to stay put. This wasn't the worst thing in the world, because the shop is on a nice town strip with some benches outside, but in a rush it is a bit less convenient than I would like. Also, the store doesn't offer samples, and so you don't really get to try your flavor in advance, but thankfully all the flavors we tried were pretty good. The storefront is also pretty small, and so I can imagine it getting quite busy if a bunch of people go at once, although that wasn't the case for us. All in all, this was a very good ice cream shop, and we definitely recommend it to other people. Try the salted caramel if you can!“

“My entire family loves Lotus and we appreciate that the food is made with high quality, organic ingredients. This food is the closest we've gotten to how food tastes back home in India :) Recently I worked with the Lotus team to cater a 45-50 person event. Surinder, the owner, was phenomenally helpful. He was in touch with me regularly, on time for delivery, provided everything I needed including the matches to keep the chafing dishes warm throughout the night. He went above and beyond.
