“This mom and pop restaurant is pretty good. I've been wanting to try this place and glad we did. Took my dad and mom there after their urgent care visit, and they really enjoyed everything. We ordered the soup dumpling, and my son loved it! It wasn't soupy, but it was tasty. We also got the shrimp mayo, we cleaned the plate pretty good on that one (input for the restaurant, doilies are unnecessary for any dish). Chicken fried rice was also made perfectly. And steamed bok choi, at first I thought it was a bit overcooked, but it's actually pretty good, don't forget to ask for the sauce. Definitely a hard-working family, the kids were really helpful and smart. Good job, guys!“

“Vegan items have the extra challenge of tasting and looking like its non-vegan counterpart, and most don't hit the mark. I was hesitant to try vegan food, but I loved Green Green Trees! Expect fresh food that's true to Taiwanese flavors. I think it was the best Taiwanese bento I've tried in the 626 so far, since a lot of them tend to be greasy, cheap, and undercooked. Tried the lions mane mushroom bento, pudding, and the sweet and sour "chicken" bento. The chicken and mushrooms was really good! And although the vegetables were just steamed with minimal seasoning, the entrees were layered with flavor. I didn't mind-- I felt that it made the meal healthy and balanced. The pudding was also "eggy" and sweet. Altho the color looks a little different than most puddings, it's understandable since it is a vegan dessert (and it was good)! It's evident that the owner is passionate about healthy and delicious cooking. From the fork-tender food to the quality of ingredients used, Green Green Trees hits all the marks: generously nutritious, homely, and delicious meals that will ALSO impress your traditionalist immigrant parents. While the owner is retiring soon, I hope that the rebrand to this business goes well! 加油!“

“The food was great the pork and cabbage dumplings with soy sauce were bomb. Ordered both bafang signature ramen and another spicy ramen but they both tasted almost the same and almost no spicy so if you add more chili sauce that they provide be generous with it to get the spice. I also got the mini wonton soup which was also really good, the wontons were perfect no complaints and the broth was a great compliment to the wontons. If you like more flavor fry mixing in the chili sauce and some ginger sauce that they have in and trust it elevates it a lot. Their soy mango drink is also really good not too sweet and I added boba which went really good with it. 9/10 would definitely go again but not so much for the ramen because there want enough spice to call it spicy and both spicy ramens tasted the same.“

For $10, you get rice, soup, 2-3 vegetable side dishes, and your choice of 3 main dishes that rotate every day. It's generous and really perfect. The meal tastes home-cooked.This is a great option if you need something that feels like home.Bento box menu is in Cantonese and changes out every 2 weeks. Don't sleep on it, give this place a try! Very friendly owners as well. We were told that the most popular options was the Spicy Fried Chicken and the Marinated Beef. Both were good! I liked the spicy fried chicken just a tad bit more. Loved how crispy the chicken was! I definitely want to go back and try the Cumin Lamb as that was also another popular option. We ordered the regular size and surprisingly satisfied our hunger for me and my bf. I think the large size means they give more meat - not that the roll is bigger. “This place does hit the spot when you are craving some soup. It's a small hole in the wall where there is just 1 cook and a server/cook. The server fries stuff as well if you order anything that needs frying. I like the old man's soup that has a little bit of tendon, beef, and tripe. Little veggies but it is enough for one person. Great on a cold day. Only bad part is that if the server goes out for a smoke, he smokes right by the door and you can smell it inside. They also don't ask if you want anything to drink like water so you gotta tell them if you want anything and not assume you'll automatically get it. Other than drinks, beef noodle soup is good. The tonkatsu ramen was a bit salty but noodles where still good. Will come back for my beef soup.“

“This small eatery has been around for a while with new proprietor every few years The current proprietors are friendly and welcoming. Today, we had the 3-cup chicken, which was made up with one cup of chicken, one cup of cooking wine and one cup of garlics. Overall, it was delicious but just a bit too sweet. The other dish we had was the stewed pork over rice and it was decent. This place’s top choice is the traditional beef noodles where you can order all beef meat or 1/2 beef meat and 1/2 tendons. I’ve tried the 1/2 beef meat and 1/2 tendons before and it was pretty good. The menu offered a lot of typical lunch dishes that are popular in Taiwan and you should be able to find something new to try.Vegetarian options: Some options were available, but I won’t come here just to ear vegetarian dishes.Parking: There is a big lot here.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, barely. “I walked in, 1:00pm place looks barely lit.The staff was talking in the back, not knowing a customer comes in due to no door bell besides a ringer on desk.Food selection menu was not confusing. I always try the popcorn chicken dish of Asian restaurants.Popcorn chicken rice is enough for 13.99. I paid with my visa no charge.I told her non spicy on the chicken. I forgot to confirm if the white cabbage is spicy.Meh it was not spicy enough to inedible, so I let it slide. The things I’d like to see improvement:- some kind of door bell on the door that notifies the customer.- pull out seats for customer before hand. It was awkward a bit if a woman has to pull out the chair from a stacked bunch.- drink option can improve a bit. The drink in the fridge does not entice me enough to order them with my popcorn chicken.- plain tea or water dispenserNot sure the set up is due to Covid or not.But overall, the food is good. The portion is enough for single guy as an in between lunch.I’d come back if I am around“

“Same comments as I have for the MP Location:I know Cocary doesn't always get the best reviews. Some of it is probably service related, some of it is from the age of the venue and that there have not been many updates made since they opened. However, I have been going to Cocary on and off since I was about 6/7, since before they were at this location and started down the street. For me, it's been consistent. I know what I'm craving when I go and I know what I'm going to get.My go tos are veggies and mushrooms in the soup with the occasional pork blood cubes. Lamb for BBQ on the grill portion. Usually white rice but the occasional craving for the yam congee. I can usually go through 2-3 plates of the lamb and just whatever veggies I have room for that day.One of my favorites is the broth. I will usually sit there and go through 3-4 bowls of broth each time I'm there. Two complaints that I do have, it's hard to keep the grill portion of the cooktop hot enough to get color on the meat while also not hard boiling everything in the pot. If the soup becomes too condensed, then I just add some water so it doesn't get too salty. And on a hot summer day, the AC isn't on very high in the dining room. It usually set to 82-84 and eating hot pot causes sweat but I still go anyways lol. Just drink enough ice water and eat quick.I know that sometimes when it gets busy, it takes a while for them to round back to the table for service. I don't mind getting things like water, broth or extra bowls and plates on my own since they are out in the open area and easily accessible for guests. Since you already have to cook the food yourself, I don't mind self-service add-ons either.I also tend to go for lunch when there is a discount. So I can usually fill my belly and go home happy at around $25.Definitely a place I will be visiting often.“

“The location has a nice ambiance and is relatively clean inside. The people working there were able to get two drinks done in 5 minutes or so and answered the questions I had regarding their sweetener levels and typical drinks quickly. We ordered a matcha milk tea and peach mango berry slushy. The slushy is very sweet at the default sweetness (if you enjoy fruity drinks with a lot of sugar this would be a good pick) and had actual chunks of the fruit in it, which is a fairly good feature. However, the matcha milk tea did not seem to have much matcha in it at all (notably lacking the flavor and color, giving off the impression of too much milk) and tasted something like a Hokkaido roasted milk tea rather than matcha. Despite this, their boba was very chewy and flavorful so I am giving it 4 stars for the other drink and the boba texture.“
