This place is incredible. Very authentic, fresh ingredients, great portions. It feels like you're visiting someone's home. Very welcoming and homey. Will definitely be a regular for sure! Really enjoyed the music as well <3
The experience here is like being in Northern Iraq. The spices and flavors are so authentic. Okay I just made that up I don't really know but when I closed my eyes listening to the maqam music and tasting these spices I was transported away from Glendale to a different place and time. The service was excellent.The okra stew was excellent. The lamb tail a bit chewy as expected. I am excited to return and try other things, maybe the tilapia , eggplant or chicken. I ate iraquilam shishiteka, but the meat was a little too salty. This is my first time trying Iraqi food, and I don't know much about the differences between the many Armenian dishes around here, but I think the difference is that the garnished vegetables are pickles.
