“This is a great place to go get a good burger and hang out. It's a very relaxed place, even when the downtown is bussing with people. The service is great, even when they're busy. My husband and I didn't feel well after ordering their Brussels sprout appetizer, despite it being delicious, but everything else I have had there, be it salads, burgers, or tacos, have been superb. I have never ordered anything there that I didn't like! I highly recommend their mushroom burger, and the tater tots are the best I have ever had!“

“My third or fourth visit to Hawks. I've never been disappointed, and tonight was a memorable experience. Party of four for early dinner. The mushroom soup amuse bouche was wonderful. White Fog Farm lettuce salad was (reportedly) excellent. The Caesar salad was tasty but the creamy dressing revealed it as an imitation Caesar (in my opinion); the saving grace was the white anchovy on top. (I am a Caesar salad purist and I am frequently unimpressed; woe is me.). Entrées: Duck--excellent! Short ribs--excellent! Steelhead--excellent! Lamb loin--excellent and more! Wine: Fair--a Tuscan red, good but overpriced for the quality. Dessert: We have had the "beignets" before--these are tasty enough but they are NOT in any sense beignets--just sugary doughnut holes with caramel sauce on the side. What they called an entremet might, in a pinch, be considered a "deconstructed" entremet--but an entremet it was not. The parts were, however, very good, if little more than a small mound of fond chocolate with cocoa nibs and a bit of white filling. We were very pleased with the unexpected serving of two extra dessert items, quartets of little chocolate dollops on shortbread and Sangria-infused gel cubes--very playful and delightful. Decent late-bottled vintage port and good tea and coffee. The service was spot on--absolutely top-notch. We were VERY pleased with service and atmosphere. Despite the scattered culinary contradictions, I say : Go to Hawks--time well spent.“

“This restaurant is beyond amazing. Kudos to the person who trains the staff! They were welcoming, friendly, and efficient. They offered choices in our order which normally you don’t get from a restaurant ie. Crispy bacon and potatoes. Food was delivered quickly and cooked to perfection. I noticed too that the waitresses were helping each other during our dining experience. Highly recommend- a great start to our day. Quality at its best!!!“

“It was okay. I'd recommend the meat grills, however, which they cook in front of the restaurant. The pictures they have on the menu are not the same esp for the sides. I thought treatment wasn't as friendly towards females at least my experience of it. No ice for drinks.“

Oddly enough, I used to live right down the street from here for a year, used to go to the shopping center at least once a week and the Starbucks couple doors down a few times a week, for a few years... So, you can imagine how surprised I was to find out this place was there and this was my first time visiting it.... The service was great. They were on top of it, fast, attentive, helpful and very efficient. The restaurant is an old diner and definitely represents that old school style, layout and vibe. The food was great! “Monday, April 23rd, my friend and I were here for lunch and I tried their lunch special of the week - Teriyaki Chicken. It was GREAT! Their own teriyaki sauce was just right, sweet and spicy. As always, I'd have liked more bean sprouts and snow peas, but nevertheless the meal was entirely pleasing - and service friendly and attentive. There are many reasons why this Brookfields is our favorite restaurant! I will also go by myself!“

“I haven't been here for years. I couldn't even remember what kind of food they had. We decided to try it out again a few nights ago, and It was really good. They have a nice variety of food and beers. My wife got a cider and I got a peanut butter stout. It taste exactly like peanut butter. I liked it. We also ordered a few things to share. We got a pizza, some pulled pork tacos and a burger. My daughter ordered the macaroni and cheese. Even though I didn't try it, it looked good and she liked it. I will definitely come here again, and much sooner next time. They have outdoor and indoor seating, which is nice.“

“I eat at Huckleberry’s at least twice a month, today however my experience was not good to the point that I did not leave a tip and feel terrible about that. I went in around noon on Sunday, I knew it would be busy. I signed in for one and was told it would be a 10 minute wait. I sat there roughly 10 minutes. Two ladies came in signed in. Apparently they knew one of the waitress and were seated a few minutes later even though I was there before them. A waiter then approached the hostess and pointed at the clipboard, the hostess told him she was not going to seat one person in a booth. So I approached the hostess that initially signed me in and inquired why the two ladies were given a booth even though I was there before them, she didn’t know and looked for the waitress who sat them. The waitress proceeded to move them to a bigger booth to seat me. I was very disappointed. I realize it was not right to leave a tip but customers should not be given preferential treatment.“

She related her experiences and the history of the Cafe. In discussing the history, I found that an old friend of mine was a partner of the Cafe. We had fun reminiscing and catching up with our current life. Knowing her love of Folsom and its history, I am positive that she will relate the good, bad and probably the ugly. Getting to the Cafe, I ordered the Cali King. Grilled chicken breast with mayo, lettuce, tomato, avocado, bacon & pepper jack cheese on a brioche bun. I choose side tossed salad, which was delicious. My friend tried the Bob Dole Burgah. Grilled 6oz burger with mayo, lettuce, tomato and Korean BBQ glazed pineapple slices on a brioche bun. She also got a side of Sweet Potato Fries. Everything was so delicious and so well cooked.Sorry, sometimes I forget pictures because of hunger. “Recently had breakfast at CH Cafe and Grill on Sunrise Blvd (formerly Perkos). The place was recommended to us by our waitress at Ericas Cafe where we frequent regularly. Breakfast is our jam during the week when we are out and about and there are only a few places around town that do it well and inexpensively. Erica’s has been our go to place until we heard about their second location, CH Cafe & Grill, on the corner of Sunrise & Greenback. Stopped there this morning and had a lovely Bacon and Mushroom Omlette (topped with Avacado), hash browns, coffee and toast, my husband got his usual French Toast combo and coffee, bill came to $31.00, DEAL!!! Nowadays breakfast is usually over $40.00, for two people, anywhere you go. The food was hot, plentiful, and delicious. Eggs were cooked to perfection and the service was outstanding. If your in the neighborhood, I recommend checking it out. They serve lunch and dinner too. C H Café & Grill also has breakfast specials at $10.89 and $10.39 if your a Senior. Also, coffee is $.99 if your a Senior, can’t beat that!!“

“Land Ocean is a nice date night, special occasion, or just looking for a good plate for brunch, lunch, or dinner. It gets busy in the evenings, especially on weekends. If you're looking for a nice date night or special day a reservation is recommended. We usually get the land ocean with king crab legs (they crack them for you, which is a plus), the calamari is okay (not as breaded and crisp as I'd like), the large side salad is a good split plate option, and the burgers for lunch are delicious, the brunch veggie skillet is delicious, and it is children friendly here.“

“They make some damn good pizza. Fresh AF and don't scrimp on the quality of their ingredients. We always get pizza from them every time we see them at the sunrise farmers market. Oven baked pizza. Even though we asked for the back table we didn't feel abandoned, there was always someone willing to help. Food was amazing as usual but the only thing I miss is their regular chicken crisper, the crispy ones are a little too crunchy for me but my Sirloin Steak was amazing!
