“They have always had good donuts, that's not debatable. This past weekend was my daughter's 4th birthday party. She asked for a donut themed birthday. I called the day before and asked for 2 dozen donuts. The woman I talked to was amazing. She was so excited for us, and she said she'd make sure we had lots of sprinkles, because the kids love sprinkles! When we went to pick them up on Saturday we had just driven to Cavitt Jr High to discover the annual egg hunt was cancelled. My daughter was so upset, she was completely inconsolable while we tried to explain we'd still get the donuts and her party wasn't cancelled. We went inside and the woman working the register was so kind to her that she completely forgot about the egg hunt. She showed her all the donuts she packed for us, and even gave her a special heart shaped donut. She couldn't stop smiling the whole time we were there. Anyone with a toddler or small child knows how game changing this was, and it helped set the mood for the rest of the day. TLDR. Donuts are awesome. Service is awesome. 100/10“
“We found this restaurant while on a long trip. The weather was very rainy, but the restaurant and staff were warm and friendly. The food was tasty and had good portions. We left very full, and would definitely return if we pass through again.“
“Been here three time and have enjoyed it very much. My favorite is Spring or Summer when you can sit on their patio. Friendly service, great food, menu seems to change a bit so something new to try each time. The Pastrami sandy is a must try!“
“Always extremely busy, clean surroundings and bathrooms. Large variety menu drinks and food and ?. Parking kinda tight. We got 2 medium shakes cost over 27.00 . That was shocking ?. If your having a full meal with drinks and you have family plan on over 50.00.Parking: Small but in shopping center so could park away and walk to.“
“Love this place! Always a warm welcome busy place. The staff is always super nice & attentive. This is my #1 place in Roseville for breakfast & lunch. Spice your day up omelette is great! 9/10 California Benedict 10/10 I recommend getting extra hollandaise sauce. LOVE the veggie sandwich, packed with so many veggies & delicious flavors! 10/10 Fries 10/10 The loosen your belt turkey melt is awesome too! 9/10, just add avocado & it makes it a 10! They're always busy but worth the wait! Indoor & outdoor seating, always feels very clean. I've even had catering done here & the whole process is a breeze! Great food, great hospitality!“
“Food was okay. I've eaten here a few times and the prices have gone up a lot! Our bill was $50 (with tip) for two meals and two soda drinks. We ordered a stack of pancakes and a French dip! Will not be eating here again just because of the steep prices for what we ordered.“
“Only giving one star on atmosphere because it was the most ridiculously hot, uncomfortable, miserable dining experience we have ever had. Not sure if no AC is their thing or what, but they clearly had power when we dined there. We couldn’t enjoy our meal due to how suffocatingly hot the dining room was. That aside, the food was absolutely wonderful. But we are hesitant to return since our dining experience was truly the most uncomfortable one either of us has ever experienced. We just wanted to eat and leave as quickly as possible. But maybe that’s the point?Parking: You may have to walk a bit. Parking lot is plentiful, but close-up parking isn’t typical.“
“Fantastic food, also a very neat looking restaurant. My wife and I came here for my birthday and I was very happy with it! Drinks were a little on the sweet side but still good.I feel like service could have been better BUT we were on the second floor and that can’t be easy to juggle. It’s a little bit of a hipster vibe but otherwise very nice.9/10 across the board. Would dine in again“
“While our visit had to be short we had delicious food and drinks. The combination of ingredients in our order (drinks and flatbread) was unexpected and turned out great. Left looking forward to visiting again to try something else which sounded unique.“
“Be prepared to wait! Even coming for early dinner it is PACKED. But worth it every time. A staple dish is the Mary's fried chicken. Not pictured are the pesto fries and they're bomb. All their cocktails are delicious, lots of beer on tap, and seasonal dessert options. All the same people always working and so kind. Never disappointed when I leave here.“
“This is a terrific family owned business! The food and service is always top notch and the vibes are amazing, and they have an ALLSTAR MVP behind the counter, she’s the best!!! Even hours later the food is delicious (my sandwich) highly recommend“
“Nice diner can tell it's been there forever and has lots of regulars. Classic diner food and constant coffee refills. Great place for all ages but I'm sure your grandparents would be especially happy if you took them there haha. Great atmosphere, servers, food. 5 stars!“
“Sometimes you go to a restaurant and it's really good, great even. More often than not you want to relive that experience so you go back and it just isn't the same as that first time. Well, having been to Manderes more than a few times now I can confirm that the food and service is consistently great. Whoever is back there cooking up this meat knows what they're doing, hats off to whoever you are. Can't wait to return!“
“Sat at the bar to watch PGA golf, service was excellent. Very tentative. Great for sporting events and team meetings. FYI: A little noisy, if you don’t like it loud. They go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your food or they’ll make it right.“
“Tried this place for breakfast on a rainy Sunday. The food was very enjoyable with reasonable portion sizes (more than you should probably eat in one sitting but not a crazy amount of food). Their staff was definitely busy as well. They were still kind and attentive enough. Late Sunday morning breakfast/brunch in Rocklin is quite busy (generally speaking) and this place is no exception. We arrived at what felt like, right before the rush. Because of the rain, their patio seating was not open and so this probably helps explain why they were packed already. My one complaint is that the hosting area and getting your name on a list for a table was a bit confusing. This wasn't just me and I observed several customer who had the same confusion. Since there is not really a waiting area for seats, people were standing in and around the door (because they didn't want to stand outside, understandbly). I don't know how they could solve this problem since it just seems like they are already doing everything they can with the space.Food was well seasoned and the breakfast potatoes are really yummy. I always have a tendency to order things that are on the menu but then customize them pretty wildly. Our server didn't even bat an eye and was able to handle my request with ease. Omlettes are excellent choices here and while my wife and I tend to enjoy savory breakfasts more than sweet, we did observe other patrons who were enjoying sweet dishes as well. For our respective breakfasts, the food here tastes less greasy (generally speaking) than a lot of other 'hearty breakfast diner style restaurants. For us, that is definitely appreciated because you feel like you can eat a properly seasoned meal and still have energy to do things for the rest of the day.Overall, we enjoyed our meal and experience and I think Hot Off the Griddle will make it into our rotation of breakfast haunts in Rocklin. Just beat the Sunday morning rush.“
“This place was pretty amazing. Oddly enough, I used to live right down the street from here for a year, used to go to the shopping center at least once a week and the Starbucks couple doors down a few times a week, for a few years... So, you can imagine how surprised I was to find out this place was there and this was my first time visiting it.... The service was great. They were on top of it, fast, attentive, helpful and very efficient. The restaurant is an old diner and definitely represents that old school style, layout and vibe. The food was great! Just what I needed and what I was looking for. I didn't even think that you could get as good of a breakfast from a diner, but, this was pretty great. All was fresh, made to order, great combination and flavors. I will definitely be frequenting this place now that I know what they have to offer and a few other items I'd like to try on their menu.“
“I love this place I have since I was a kid going to my first field trip there it was the best and today bringing my kids their I'm so glad that they're still open continuing the tradition of having some of the best ice cream in Sacramento adults and kids will enjoy coming here.. very good!“
“It's always worth the one hour drive from our home to enjoy lunch or brunch at the High Hand Cafe where you can enjoy your meal while you feel you're eating in a beautiful "greenhouse" we've consistently enjoyed delicious breakfasts and sandwiches. They are adjacent to a nursery and a pretty incredible koi pond. So, if you do not have a reservation and there is a wait...it goes by pretty quickly as you meander through the grounds. And even after, there are shops and a wine tasting option on the premises! THE STAFF... each and every time we've visited, we have come away thinking and feeling how nice it is to enjoy a meal served by an entire staff that truly enjoy serving, Always pleasant and with a smile. Give High Hand Cafe a try...you'll enjoy the entire experience!!Kid-friendliness: We have visited High Hand Cafe with the kids, the staff is attentive and quick to take our order and deliver the meal! There is even an outdoor pizza oven so the kids enjoyed seeing their pizza being made!“
“One thing about me, is I love a good diner. I stumbled upon Mel’s Diner during my visit to Sacramento, I knew I had found something special. The atmosphere of the diner was welcoming. The menu boasted an array of delectable dishes. The excellent food was complemented by the value for money, making every bite not just delicious but also economical.Mel’s Diner is not just a place to eat; it’s a place to be embraced by the local culture and cuisine. Whether you’re a visitor or a local, Mel’s is a must-visit spot that promises a memorable meal every time.“
“My friend recommended trying this place out because he knows how much I enjoy a good breakfast place. My go-to places are Fox and Goose and Tower Cafe. Both are perennial best in the city breakfast places.Granite Rock has much more variety for different diets with a vegetarian and protein section of the menu. They have more options for omelets and a fabulous burger. Their biscuits have a great wow factor, and the front of house staff can match many top Sacramento options.I was not disappointed, and that is saying a lot, considering I drove 30 miles to get here.Next, I will try their sister restaurant in Folsom (the name is different, but they mention it on the menu I posted here).“
“The food here is absolutely delicious! It is a must try! The menu is great and the food is even better! The owner is super kind and extremely informative if it's your 1st time here! Definitely in my top three restaurants in citrus heights!Vegetarian options: Everything that I have tried is delicious!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly and my son loves it here!Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible..“
“First time here. Ryan was very helpful. We used the Kiosk to see pictures of all the different food choices. The grilled cheesy cheese was cheesy! The burger had a unique flavor with lots of cheeeesss! The soda/ drinks were unique and delicious. I look forward to coming back.“
“Since none of my daughters like corned beef, this is my best option to get the food I enjoy on St. Patty's Day. It is that time of year again, where Nabih Haddad, the owner and chef extraordinaire, prepares corned beef and cabbage. It is the most delicious dish I have ever had. The meat is always so tender. I am taking an order to a friend who cannot drive. She loves his cooking!“
“I love this place! I’ve been a few times and everything I’ve tried is delicious. I wouldn’t even guess that it’s gluten free. The employees are also very kind. Highly recommend! The only thing I would love to see more of - more fun non-alcoholic options. Creative mocktails, cocktails with non-alc spirits, and/or non-alc wine would be great additions to the vibe!“
“We had a great meal at Lazy Dog! The food and service were 10 stars! Emma our serve was amazing. She was very sweet, helpful and happy! Such a rare combonation these days!Thank you Emma for your awesome attitude!???We also wanted to mention and thank Matt the manager. He came to our table and welcomed us to the restaurant. He comped us a yummy basket of homemade garlic potatoe chips for being new to the restaurant! Yum!Such a nice touch! So appreciated! Our dog Doc had a great time too!“
“Such a wonderful experience every time we come here! Everything - I mean everything - is fantastic: service, food, drinks, atmosphere. Even when they are busy, it's not too loud and the attention from the servers is just right. Highly recommended!“
“We had a reservation and seated promptly. Both had burgers prepared correctly and the duck fat fries were crispy, very good. Our waitress was very tentative and had everything we asked for brought right away. It was a little noisy pretty crowded but it was a Saturday night. Will go back want to try the schnitzel sandwich.“
“I am not a huge poster, and only do this when something really steps over the line from a really good experience to a truly great experience. There is a lot of good to great moves with Riley's taking over Hacienda, but my focus will be on Chef David's elevation of the food experience at Riley's. Chef David has added a burger, the Campagna Waygu burger, that quite literally could be the best burger in the Greater Sacramento area. Don't think it is only about this burger, all their food has been significantly elevated with Chef David at the helm in the kitchen. However, the Campagna is a masterpiece, with a near perfect compostion with the bun, patty, fixings, and sauces exquisitely paired in perfect proportion. This compostion leads to a flavor experience the blows the doors off any other "sit-down" establishment burger. The use of crispy prosciutto in lieu of bacon provides a salty, fatty, crunch astutely complimenting the melty, butteryness of the marscapone-gorgonzola cheese with a fig jam that rounds out the complex flavors with a perfect pinch of sweetness. Add in Chef David wonderfully seasoned Waygu patty that he and his team cook to a perfect medium temp, and this burger will head straight to the top of your burger list too. Thanks Kim and David for another awesome experience last night, and we will see the Riley's crew again soon!Ps. The fried bologne sandwich is also one that holds a special place in my heart...“
“I'm embarrassed to say this but I grew up in Orangevale and this was my first time here! And all I can say is WOW! I have been missing out! Maria was our server and she was amazing. So nice and attentive. Great service. And the food? I can't find a monte cristo anywhere. It was soooo good! Prices were great and you get so much food! We will definitely be back!“
“Monday, April 23rd, my friend and I were here for lunch and I tried their lunch special of the week - Teriyaki Chicken. It was GREAT! Their own teriyaki sauce was just right, sweet and spicy. As always, I'd have liked more bean sprouts and snow peas, but nevertheless the meal was entirely pleasing - and service friendly and attentive. There are many reasons why this Brookfields is our favorite restaurant! I will also go by myself!“
“Great!Fresh food, well prepared with nice classy touches. Don't have a favorite meal but eat there weekly and have tried many selections ...all stellar.Staff and owner are so welcoming! Great servers who are friendly, upbeat and efficient.Haven't had a favorite go-to restaurant in Lincoln after Beerman. We do now and for the past 3 years!Eat local and support this great spot!“
“I haven't been here for years. I couldn't even remember what kind of food they had. We decided to try it out again a few nights ago, and It was really good. They have a nice variety of food and beers. My wife got a cider and I got a peanut butter stout. It taste exactly like peanut butter. I liked it. We also ordered a few things to share. We got a pizza, some pulled pork tacos and a burger. My daughter ordered the macaroni and cheese. Even though I didn't try it, it looked good and she liked it. I will definitely come here again, and much sooner next time. They have outdoor and indoor seating, which is nice.“
“The lettuce wraps are an appetizer but they made a great lunch. My wife had the beef dip. It was Mouthwatering with creamy horseradish. The decor is collectable fancy rabbit? comprised of rabbits attired in many fancy outfits. The server was polite, accurate and fun. Walking into these over the top decorations makes me think I am Alice, in wonderland.“
“The best of this place is the beer of course because they brew excellent beer. The kitchen works very hard and the staff are very friendly. I ordered the burger rare and it did indeed come rare and it was delicious. Often people don't want to cook you a rare Burger but Auburn AleHouse will cook you a rare effing Burger and it's delicious!“
“I’ve been wanting to try this place for breakfast for a while. It’s always packed on the weekends which is a good sign. Although it took about 20 minutes for a server to come to our table, the rest was a great experience. The pancakes were perfect and the sausage skillet was super tasty! Parking is limited, you may need to park behind the building like I did.“
“Denny's doesn't get the love it deserves. It is a classic, with memories. The prices are reasonable, and if we don't patron then, they will go away...This Denny's in particular has a beautiful view of the valley, and so is a nice place to stop on the way over the mountain on I-80.“
“Cute one story red building...inside was clean..employees very friendly...when you walk in, you order at register and then go find a booth or table...they bring you your food and then come pick up your dishes when done eating. I enjoyed my omelette and potatoes...I was very pleased with my meal, especially the potatoes were cooked as I requested. The prices are reasonable and portions were plenty...I do recommend going and I will be returning.“
“Really good grilled cheese and tomato bisque. They can make everything vegan but we did real cheese on their fresh sourdough bread from a local bakery. Organic green salad comes with. Matcha latte unsweetened was hearty with real milk but alternative mills available Seating inside for 20 inside and outside more seating Nice staff and simple space“
“We were in a hungry, on our way to a memorial service. We stopped in let the ladies know our time constraints. Ordered eggs, bacon;&toast. They rushed our order. My over medium eggs were perfect. We really appreciate all the staff who were a part of getting us on our way! We'll have to plan to stop in again & take our time to enjoy other menue choices.“
“Samuel Hornes has spoiled all other burgers for me. I always get my burgers well done coz I’m that paranoid of minced meat. But even a well done burger here was so juicy! Definitely the best I’ve ever had. So much so that I don’t eat burgers elsewhere.“
“Located on Sacramento Street. Visited a few weeks ago. Had a delicious breakfast with steak, eggs, and fruit. Also ordered a latte coffee. Great food, great ? service. Easy parking, easy location. ☆☆☆ 1/2 stars. Recommended.Parking: Easy parking.“
“Came here Monday with my son and parents and enjoyed this cute little restaurant. It was a bit slow in the service area but the longer we were there, the more people came in. It was very busy and they seemed to not have much staff. I definitely don't miss working in the restaurant industry. Huge apologies to the employees working for having to deal with my father being mad at every little thing and him complaining. He refused to leave a tip so I left one instead without him knowing lol. There's no reason to take it out on our servers when the delay is the kitchen and the restaurant is busy. I would love to come again to try the French Toast.“
“Excellent spot with great food, drinks, atmosphere, and service. Had the french dip and really enjoyed it. The waiter let us try an espresso martini he happened to have extra of and gave us free cookies to end our meal. Felt like we were absolutely taken care of in a nice laid back environment. Will definitely be coming back.“
“Their Pollen in Love cocktail was really good. One of the bartenders also made me an excellent Last Word and even gave me a small straight pour of some green chartreuse because I mentioned I never had the opportunity to try that liqueur before. The bartenders here are very clearly talented professionals and they have a great liquor selection.“
“Great experience! The food is delicious and the service was great. I highly recommend this wonderful place.Vegetarian options: My Sister had the Thai noodle with no chicken and was happy with that.Parking: This place is surrounded by other restaurants and shops, it's a beautiful place but parking can be challenging.“
“A truly authentic cheesesteak. They use Amoroso’s bread and import their meats. This is a family run shop and they’ve survived through the pandemic. That should say it all. An east coast steak on the west coast. Get a traditional with whiz.“
“Wonderful place to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. The place was lively, the people were fantastic, and the food was outstanding. It was a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy each other's company and be excited. I'm only upset with myself foe waiting so long to experience and express my delight of such a fine restaurant.Thank you all for making it a great night out.“
“Had the beet salad, delicious and presentation amazing. Friend dining with had shrimp added, huge and she said delicious. Enjoyed the brussel sprout appetizer, also very good and generous portion. Had the bacon on side since vegetarian.Vegetarian options: Anything can be altered to vegetarian. We had the brussel sprouts altered, they were amazing.Pizza and other options.Parking: Parking available within the plaza.“
“We had our wedding reception here back in September and it was a hit with all of our guests. Everything from the food to the cocktails to the service was exceptional for our special day and we couldn’t be happier. One of the things I greatly appreciate with the owner ( Sommer) and event coordinator/ GM (Greg) is the consistency of care, attention to detail, professionalism and staff friendliness. They just get the hospitality business and they understand what it means to create a welcoming environment from top to bottom. We had an absolute blast and will always support this amazing local business! Thanks y’all! If you’re thinking about having an event here, Just do it!“
“My third or fourth visit to Hawks. I've never been disappointed, and tonight was a memorable experience. Party of four for early dinner. The mushroom soup amuse bouche was wonderful. White Fog Farm lettuce salad was (reportedly) excellent. The Caesar salad was tasty but the creamy dressing revealed it as an imitation Caesar (in my opinion); the saving grace was the white anchovy on top. (I am a Caesar salad purist and I am frequently unimpressed; woe is me.). Entrées: Duck--excellent! Short ribs--excellent! Steelhead--excellent! Lamb loin--excellent and more! Wine: Fair--a Tuscan red, good but overpriced for the quality. Dessert: We have had the "beignets" before--these are tasty enough but they are NOT in any sense beignets--just sugary doughnut holes with caramel sauce on the side. What they called an entremet might, in a pinch, be considered a "deconstructed" entremet--but an entremet it was not. The parts were, however, very good, if little more than a small mound of fond chocolate with cocoa nibs and a bit of white filling. We were very pleased with the unexpected serving of two extra dessert items, quartets of little chocolate dollops on shortbread and Sangria-infused gel cubes--very playful and delightful. Decent late-bottled vintage port and good tea and coffee. The service was spot on--absolutely top-notch. We were VERY pleased with service and atmosphere. Despite the scattered culinary contradictions, I say : Go to Hawks--time well spent.“
