“More of a 3.75 but I'll round up. We usually visit Crushcakes in downtown SB but this location was super close to our hotel, so we walked over during our stay. The workers were very nice and my family found a table inside to accommodate all of us, which was great. The pancakes were on the dryer side. All my sons commented on them. I had the French toast and it was very good. This is a great place to stop for a sweet treat, but we probably wont have at breakfast at this spot again, I rather visit their other location.“
“We were greeted near the door and offered help. After a few questions by the salesperson my husband was shown Hokas that would be best. He tried on 4 pairs and picked the ones he wanted. Great service. Good selection. He wanted plain neutral colors, not what Hoka is known for. Value will be determined by future use.“

“Best coffee in Santa Barbara - and it's not close! Handlebar in my opinion is the quintessential coffee shop. It has a relaxed but bustling vibe - the place always seems busy... a testament to the product and service. Speaking of the service, it is world class. Everyone is friendly and smiling and they do a great job of taking care of you as the customer. One man who I think is the owner is in quite regularly and he seems especially helpful and kind to the customers. But he is great - he genuinely wants you enjoy his coffee and have a wonderful experience in the coffee shop. I appreciate that and it keeps me coming back at least once a week! Now onto the coffee, it is always great! Never too bitter and full of flavor. As for mochas/lattes/etc. I haven't had better in SB. Everything is of the highest quality and is fantastic! That quality is translated across the board to the food too - the almond croissant is AMAZING!! If you find yourself in the mood for coffee and a wonderful pastry while in the Santa Barbara area, this is the place for you. P.S. It's my fave spot to do the daily connections and wordle! ;)“

“This cafe is excellent. The baristas are all very skilled and I’ve only had delicious coffees from them. Recently had an oat milk flat white and it was spot on. It’s so nice to order a flat white and get a proper portion of “milk” to coffee. A must stop for coffee in Santa Barbara.“

“Edit: Great food again as usual!Original Post: I love this place and come here regularly. But today was dissapointed that my french onion soup had barely any onion, with an overly salty broth. Will update this review next time I come when the food is (hopefully) as good as it is normally“

“In search of my morning cappucino on our trip to Santa Barbara, I found Dawn cafe. Of 4 different cafes in the last 2 days, this was the highlight. Not only did the barista make the perfect cappucino, but the beans (they roast their own) were that perfect medium roast that highlighted both the "bean" and the "burn"; a well balanced taste that got me ordering a second cup. Well done, and I went back the next day.“
“All dishes we ordered were very good (salad, white bean soup special, duck ravioli, veal scallopini, and pasta carbonara). Panna cotta dessert was outstanding. A few minor improvement suggestions - 1) the carbonara and scallopini were not served fully warm enough 2) Carbonara was a bit too salty.“

“Food was excellent and service too! Only one complaint sign states no pets allowed yet a customer sitting next to us with a dog on his dog bed and she fed him from a plate from the restaurant. I probably will not be back. I won't know if I'm eating off a plate a dog ate off. Health department wouldn't be happy about this I'm sure.“

“OMG so delicious. Ordered four eggs, toast and breakfast potatoes l. Everything came out fresh and hot so good. Staff was very nice and made me feel like home. This place is a 10 out of 10 and I sure will be back. This is a secret place off the path of State Street. It's a must go to for breakfast or lunch.“

“Live Oak was a great spot to grab good breakfast at. I ordered the Santa Barbara Wrap and my boyfriend got the Avo Bacon Omeltte. Everything was pretty good, a few of the side potatoes we got were uncooked which was a bummer because they tasted great. Otherwise service was good and it was a cute little spot.“

“Stopped here for a quick bite before we continued on the way to cemetery The breakfast croissant for me, and fried breakfast sandwich, for my husband, were good. First time here. We've been to Harry's next door and thought we were going to eat there but found out Harry's didn't open until 11am. We were an hour too early. But decided to go into Renaud's. We will be back.“

“Came here for brunch while in town for a wedding, and everything was delightful. We chose to share the hangover and the salmon Benedict and while both were delicious, the same, and Benedict was the unanimous winner. Our server Riley was so friendly and attentive. We will be back!“

“Traditional American-style breakfast in the courthouse area of Santa Barbara. The portions had a great size and the service was good, always serving coffee for the customers. The food was ok and overall a little expensive compared to other places in town.“

“Had coffee and pastries with a friend and it was a really nice coffee break. Ordinarily I'd go to the location on the Mesa but the downtown location has a lot going for it. Close to Kanaloa seafood, Kyle's Kitchen and Paseo Nuevo. You can get a nice coffee in the morning before work, or in the afternoon after lunch or shopping. Lots of seating inside and out and they are dog friendly. You gotta love that.Parking: First come first served parking, with a time limit so you'll usually find a spot. Full disclosure I'm usually parking a motorcycle... But there's plenty of space for cars. There is only one entrance and it's on the Chapala Street side.“

“Wonderful first experience. Pastries looked beautiful and tasted amazing. I had a kouign-amann that was buttery, sweet, and beautifully layered. I also had a beignet that was perfectly and evenly filled with a light passionfruit cream. The reception from the staff was so kind and welcoming. They must've realized it was my first time there because they gifted me a baguette to take home too!! Great customer service and attention to detail. Will be back very soon!“
“I've came here before and got the breakfast quinoa bowl with dates and honey and it was delicious. I came back again this week though, and wow, was I blown away by the bounty bowl. It had roasted sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, pickled onions and kale over quinoa. It was probably the best meal I've ever eaten on campus. And it's vegan! Staff are always super friendly too. There is outdoor seating, but there are not many group tables, so definitely plan for that around peak lunch hour.“

“BEST breakfast and lunch in SB!! Great location, excellent service and truly amazing food. We go there every time we are in SB and it is a regular thing for my family. Everything on the breakfast menu is crave worthy and good, strong coffee. My dad swears the French dip is the best sandwich in town. It is well worth your time if you are hungry for excellent food at a great price. Mulligans should be on the top of your must try list.“
“Had breakfast here twice during our five-night stay. Food was delicious! Highly recommend the french toast!! Our server, Alex, was delightful. She was very pleasant, friendly, and made the absolute best latte -- better than most baristas in most coffee shops!“
“This is a super good little ice cream place. The place is a bit cramped but the scooper was super chill. The ice cream was of utmost quality and the cookies were soft and warm. I thoroughly enjoyed an ice cream sandwich and would definitely recommend.“

“Held a surprise birthday party for my Mom over the weekend with 25 of her closest friends and family. The management was communicative and provided a perfect set up and wait staff to take really good care of us throughout the evening. Everyone enjoyed the Italian appetizers, wine and entrees, which were plentiful! It was a wonderful night she will remember for years to come!“

“I was hesitant to dine here given some of the negative reviews but so glad we did! While staying at the gorgeous Hotel Californian, my family and I enjoyed breakfast at Goat Tree three mornings in a row. The food was fresh and delicious (personal faves were the fluffy lemon ricotta pancakes and avocado toast), my boys sampled various pastries from the display case and all were yummy, and the staff were all incredibly gracious and professional. Only thing I wasn't crazy about was the coffee - a little too thin for me, but their Americano was better. Special thanks to Alejandro, who was a joy to see every morning. Will definitely come back on our future visits to Santa Barbara!“

“Previously known as Flir Cafe, this cafeteria is now Catered Too! Cafe. It is not just for the employees but instead open to the public. They have a sign on Hollister showing where to turn. It's basically behind the Flir HQ and then the building to the left. The daily menu always changes with some set specials of the week. I like that they keep nutrition in mind, their portion sizes are generous AND the prices cannot be beat. The only thing cheaper would be the CostCo Food Court! You can look at the menu on their website and even download to pre-order. Rarely do I have to wait to place an order when I'm there.“
