“I don't know if this is the same manager from years ago but I worked here and there my mom did I think this is a great Burger King the only thing I would work on is when you work and you speak Spanish you would also speak English as well around employees that don't and my mom always quit extra bacon for the guys or whoever is working in the morning and it was kind of a debate to not put more bacon me and my mom worked very hard their different times we work but she work there afterwards I would go home with complete grease on but I'm just saying for all these years you employed a really good lady and that's my mom the only thing was disturbing was when she was corrected after correcting her somebody was speaking in Spanish and it was became mean I wish you work on those things for employees that don't speak Spanish became very hurtful and demeaning I was still upset fun treats your mom like that where she works util specially her being a hard worker and putting our best foot forward“
“Honestly it's probably one of the most decent McDees I've been to, sad to see a 2-star review just because... their food and service quality definitely don't deserve a 2 star, staff are friendly and haven't had anything negative to say about it, in addition, it's honestly not a bad place to stop by with your kiddo every once awhile for their happy meals (just for the toys really...). Keep up the good work and don't let the bad reviews bring you down.“
“This spot is the one I like best. I go to a lot of restaurants but to this restaurant I keep coming back again and again. The crew is very affectionate and the cooking they place on your table is so flavorful. I would always prefer to have a good meal here. I recommend this place with pleasure.“
“The food is creative and delicious! Dad and mom work the front of the restaurant and they are absolute gems: attentive, friendly and they make the dining experience special and fun. The food options were tantalizing and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back! The experience would be even better if the interior looked more like earlier photos (less cluttered and more stylish).Vegetarian options: There are some options available.Parking: No dedicated parking, street parking only.“
“I’m a big fan of low key spaces that dial it in. Chef Chew as well known as he is, is highly underrated. What he does with tofu is humbly masterful. While other places will rely on fake meats,he transforms a slab of tofu into a layers and pockets of flavor that get turned into one of the best vegan fried chickuns in the area and a vegan philly protein that is natural gluten free bc it’s basically just tofu and spices. The collards melt in your mouth but somehow don’t taste overcooked. And I think he changed his cheese sauce slightly bc it tastes even better since his reopening. Offering a vegan fried chickun and steak that isn’t made of processed ingredients is a subtle triumph that I don’t feel gets enough recognition. Vegan soul food done right. Much respect.“
“Great place right off hwy 80 to grab some food to go (no indoor seating. ) I got the stir fry chicken akdah (similar to karahi chicken) with bell peppers and onions. Be sure to ask for the green chutney. I thought it was lacking in flavor. I added some Indian pickle to liven it up when i got home. It came with 3 large pitas. I'll be back to try the beef Sharma plate.“
“Okay, guys, it's a really good burger for $8:) The beef is tasty, and it comes loaded with veggies, which makes it a more balanced meal. I'd order it with no mayo next time to cut down on the fats. Also, I didn't like the fries, but the burger made up for it all!Keep in mind it’s take away only, and no WC.“
“If there’s one place that’s been a constant in my life, it’s Al’s Big Burger in Albany, CA. For the past 25 years, Al’s has been my go-to spot for the ultimate comfort food experience. From my middle school days to now, nearly turning 40, my affection for Al’s has only grown stronger.Let’s talk about the main event: the bacon cheeseburger. It’s nothing short of perfection. The burger is always cooked to juicy perfection, the bacon crisp, and the cheese melted just right, creating a symphony of flavors that dance in your mouth with every bite. Pairing this with their golden, crispy fries and the unparalleled creamy, dreamy peanut butter shake is the epitome of a classic American meal that can’t be beaten. But it’s not just the food that keeps me coming back year after year—it’s the nostalgia and the consistently warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes Al’s feel like home. Walking into Al’s is like stepping into a time machine, where for a moment, you can relive those carefree days of youth while enjoying a meal that’s as delicious now as it was back then.Over the years, I’ve seen trends come and go, but Al’s Big Burger remains timeless. It’s a testament to the quality of their food and the love they put into each meal. Whether you’re a long-time local or just passing through Albany, Al’s is a must-visit for anyone seeking a taste of burger heaven. Here’s to Al’s Big Burger—may it continue to be a beacon of culinary delight for many more years to come. If you haven’t yet had the pleasure, do yourself a favor and drop by. You might just find yourself writing a glowing review 25 years from now, too.“
“Been going here since I was a child. Top 3 burger joint for me. Everything here is great. Only downside is the price. It's gotten expensive. Can't blame them for that tho.. Everything has gotten expensive.Parking: You can park somewhere on Parker or try to get away with parking in the liquor store parking lot.“
“Really great bar food and spot to watch a game. Lots if TVs and friendly staff. We went when they were swamped and had to wait a good while for food, but that was OK because we were in the mood to chill. Wait was worth it. My wife was obsessed with the chicken club sandwich.“
