“I was there today for a snack and drink. The young man that was at the window was so nice. We had a great visit and conversation. He has great manners for and young individual. He even went to shake my hand. I will be back due to his friendly personality. Thank you so much for making my day. “
“Came across this spot on DoorDash and was not dissapointed. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and truffle fries and a side of loaded mac n cheese. First of all let me say the portions are HUGE! Secondly, everything was packed with FLAVOR. Definitely will be paying this spot a visit in person.“
“The food is creative and delicious! Dad and mom work the front of the restaurant and they are absolute gems: attentive, friendly and they make the dining experience special and fun. The food options were tantalizing and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back! The experience would be even better if the interior looked more like earlier photos (less cluttered and more stylish).Vegetarian options: There are some options available.Parking: No dedicated parking, street parking only.“
“I’m a big fan of low key spaces that dial it in. Chef Chew as well known as he is, is highly underrated. What he does with tofu is humbly masterful. While other places will rely on fake meats,he transforms a slab of tofu into a layers and pockets of flavor that get turned into one of the best vegan fried chickuns in the area and a vegan philly protein that is natural gluten free bc it’s basically just tofu and spices. The collards melt in your mouth but somehow don’t taste overcooked. And I think he changed his cheese sauce slightly bc it tastes even better since his reopening. Offering a vegan fried chickun and steak that isn’t made of processed ingredients is a subtle triumph that I don’t feel gets enough recognition. Vegan soul food done right. Much respect.“
“Great place right off hwy 80 to grab some food to go (no indoor seating. ) I got the stir fry chicken akdah (similar to karahi chicken) with bell peppers and onions. Be sure to ask for the green chutney. I thought it was lacking in flavor. I added some Indian pickle to liven it up when i got home. It came with 3 large pitas. I'll be back to try the beef Sharma plate.“
“As a foodie, I'm always looking for a good place to eat, and of course, a burger. After trying so many burgers all over the world, I finally found the one at Sideshow Kitchen, and wow, it was amazing! The flavors were perfectly balanced, with a Smashburger with caramelized onions, crusty buns, and a great sauce and so juicy. The staff was friendly and provided excellent recommendations. The cozy ambiance added to the overall charm. If you're in the Bay Area and craving a great burger, don't miss out on Sideshow Kitchen. Five stars!Parking: It’s plenty of parking all aroundWheelchair accessibility: Easy access“
“Okay, guys, it's a really good burger for $8:) The beef is tasty, and it comes loaded with veggies, which makes it a more balanced meal. I'd order it with no mayo next time to cut down on the fats. Also, I didn't like the fries, but the burger made up for it all!Keep in mind it’s take away only, and no WC.“
“If there’s one place that’s been a constant in my life, it’s Al’s Big Burger in Albany, CA. For the past 25 years, Al’s has been my go-to spot for the ultimate comfort food experience. From my middle school days to now, nearly turning 40, my affection for Al’s has only grown stronger.Let’s talk about the main event: the bacon cheeseburger. It’s nothing short of perfection. The burger is always cooked to juicy perfection, the bacon crisp, and the cheese melted just right, creating a symphony of flavors that dance in your mouth with every bite. Pairing this with their golden, crispy fries and the unparalleled creamy, dreamy peanut butter shake is the epitome of a classic American meal that can’t be beaten. But it’s not just the food that keeps me coming back year after year—it’s the nostalgia and the consistently warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes Al’s feel like home. Walking into Al’s is like stepping into a time machine, where for a moment, you can relive those carefree days of youth while enjoying a meal that’s as delicious now as it was back then.Over the years, I’ve seen trends come and go, but Al’s Big Burger remains timeless. It’s a testament to the quality of their food and the love they put into each meal. Whether you’re a long-time local or just passing through Albany, Al’s is a must-visit for anyone seeking a taste of burger heaven. Here’s to Al’s Big Burger—may it continue to be a beacon of culinary delight for many more years to come. If you haven’t yet had the pleasure, do yourself a favor and drop by. You might just find yourself writing a glowing review 25 years from now, too.“
“Been going here since I was a child. Top 3 burger joint for me. Everything here is great. Only downside is the price. It's gotten expensive. Can't blame them for that tho.. Everything has gotten expensive.Parking: You can park somewhere on Parker or try to get away with parking in the liquor store parking lot.“
“Mikko's Tier List Reviews~ Food - Hard to go wrong with the food! Whoever is cooking is talented but tbh it's hard to mess up this type of food. Price - bit expensive for this type of food, which it was 1-2$ cheaper for all items Ambience/Atmosphere - Casual and quick, not much to say Wait time - None when I went, lots of open seats Individual Dish Ratings - Chopped Cheese - Solid overall, flavors were great Tier Verdict - S+ Tier (out of SS, normie grade is 90/100)“
“You've been to 1 in n out you've been to them all. My only complaint, especially as neurodivergent is how loud it is with all the noise that has to go on with them prepping/making food and calling out orders. Nothing that can be helped, or solved with just taking it to go, or eating it outside. Find out more about their secret menu on their website ti learn about the accommodations they make to dietary restrictions and vegetarian options.“
“The first thing I noticed is that this quaint little spot was immaculate. The service was friendly and the food was great. As a staff person was about to mop the floor, he took the time to ask if we needed to use the restroom before he started. It was a simple gesture but thoughtful. Customer service is becoming a lost art so it's refreshing to experience.“
“great place. friendly staff, great and quality drinks, and great and quality food. only downsides, not the biggest place and easy to miss if you're driving by. also, small place so you may leave smelling of fried food. guac and chips, nice. avocados super fresh queso and chips, fire. haven't had queso this good in I dunno how long shrimp with asparagus with rice, bold flavors. very savory dish, recommended if you want garlic, saucy, and shrimp. overall, highly recommended and would frequent often if I'm in the area.“
“Don't let the unassuming shop front fool you into thinking this place is anything short of extraordinary.Fresh ingredients, thoughtful and creative recipes build on strong foundations. What a gem! Soups scream quality, the broccoli and cheese is one of the best I've had.Hard to go wrong here!“
“Really great bar food and spot to watch a game. Lots if TVs and friendly staff. We went when they were swamped and had to wait a good while for food, but that was OK because we were in the mood to chill. Wait was worth it. My wife was obsessed with the chicken club sandwich.“
“Rock Club catered my husband's retirement party. Easy to communicate with, flexible & arrived early to set up for event. Their burgers, fries & onion rings were awesome & EVERYONE raved about them. My husband is still talking about how delicious they were today. I am sure I will be getting many texts asking for their info. Thank you again so much!!“
“This is the best burger in maybe the whole world. Incredibly hospitable owners and consistent top quality. I live in Canada and often come to Richmond for work…this is ALWAYS and will ALWAYS BE my first stop when I get to town.Highly HIGHLY recommend!!!“
“Very cute place on the corner. We had the lamb and chicken platter combo and the salmon platter as well as the falafel wrap. All super good. Very glad we stopped here. Satisfied with this meal! Great service and the food is fresh and delicious with big portions.“
“After a recent midday trip to Benicia, we were hungry. I have been to several other restaurants on 1st Street and enjoyed them all. I will finish those reviews soon. It was my suggestion to have lunch here. We could leave the car parked and it was a short walk. Happily, it was a good choice. I ordered the Shrimp and Asparagus salad, and it was delicious. The salad consisted of mixed greens, avocado slices, cherry tomatoes, a semi-hardboiled egg, and asparagus topped off with two skewers of grilled shrimp. The Louie dressing was served on the slide. K had the pulled pork sandwich. The interior was pleasant, the bathrooms were clean, and the service was attentive. The Taproom is on my list for a return visit.“
“Got a craving for a chili cheese dog?? Well look no further! Chars has the best Dawgs in Solano County! The Gem of the Tannery Building downtown, they offer every kinda hotdog flavor combo you could dream up! They have burgers too but for me it's all about the hotdogs and fries!Parking: Free street parking and parking at the Benicia Green.Kid-friendliness: What kid doesn't love a hotdog!“
“I stopped by because all the good reviews. ? I certainly can say I'll be back, one of the best burgers I've had in the bay. Pretty simple burger joint but damn good. I ordered the bacon ? cheeseburger with mild hatch chili's on it, my wife ordered just a cheeseburger & we split a fry order. That was plenty of food for us & my wife and I both agree these simple burgers are special. Highly recommend ? ? ?“
“Got there at 9:30 am to try their breakfast burritos, which I thought are clever by having a over easy egg instead of scrambled inside. The place was clean, and the service was friendly. I had no idea what I wanted but settled for the Little Mule Burrito. It should have dawned on me while speaking Spanish to the cashier, he told me it was a very good burrito. While it looked and tasted great, the heat was insane that early in the morning. Not only do you have pickled jalapenos, but you also have a Chipotle aioli that is sure to burn your esophagus. You've been warned, because I wasn't. Enjoy“
“My husband had fish and chips which he liked very much. The fish was crispy and hot. I had a fish sandwich. The fish was hot and crispy. The sandwich came with lettuce, tomatoes and pickle. I ordered before I arrived and the food was ready a few minutes after I arrived. The two gentlemen behind the counter were friendly and professional.“
“Delicious turkey burger, subbed Swiss for mozzarella. It’s hard to find a turkey burger and this was yummy. Fries were also really tasty. Partner got a fried onion ring burger that looked and smelled amazing as wellParking: Parking lot behind the restaurantKid-friendliness: Kids menu and seating availableWheelchair accessibility: Ramp up to door“
“For many years our workplace had a generic food truck onsite that served up traditional tacos, burritos, and the occasional weekly specials like loaded nachos. They had pre-made rice plates too. The quality was decent but after a while its possible to get tired of the same-oh, same-oh.One day I began seeing a red food truck from my office window, as opposed to the plain unmarked white one. It turns out to be Golden Gate Bistro, who specializes in burgers made to order.I tried both the Akaushi Cheeseburger and Grilled Chicken Sandwich and can recommend both. Akaushi is from Japanese Brown cows, and one of several sources of Wagyu. It'll cost more than In and Out or Habit Grill but its justifiable with the juicy burger. I also love their thick-cut, perfectly seasoned fries. If burgers aren't your thing, they also offer up smoked ribs, Impossible burgers, and the usual Mexican favorites like Quesadillas.“
“The best french fries I have ever Eaton, so delicious, mmmhhmmm. Turkey burgers better than mine, I always order them.and their ice cream machine is always working so we always get that too. They will cater to customize your order. Everything is delicious here!Vegetarian options: Not sureKid-friendliness: Brings out the kid in meParking: Seems to accommodate us and others each time we go so I'd say it's afrquateWheelchair accessibility: Just fine, some challenging access, but very little of it.Dietary restrictions: You may want to eat just once that day. They have diet coke and salads and cooperate with special requests if they can. Drinks with ice in the cups?.“
“I got a cheeseburger with grilled onions (please enunciate your free add-ons especially on a busy weekend afternoon/evening because they thought i said extra lettuce somehow?!? like what? who would ever want extra lettuce…) but anyway pretty solid burger. Also got onion rings which were sadly not as good. The onions so very easily separated from the batter. I love the diner itself, immaculate vibes. Would definitely come again to try one of the shakes (sooo many options!!)“
“The burger melts in my mouth ? and their house made sauces are amazing! Super clean and kind staff! Will certainly come back!Kid-friendliness: There are good enough space for kids so they won't bump into corners.Wheelchair accessibility: A designated area available for accessibility!“
“This was a lovely spot to stop for a late breakfast consisting of French toast with 2 eggs and sausage and a huge tuna salad. We arrived shortly after 1 p.m. and were done just a few minites before 2 p.m., when they were closing. The wait was very reasonable. The coffee, $2.75, was fresh with just about all the fixings at arm's reach and refillable! The prices were quite reasonable compared to many comparable establishments and considering the rate of inflation. Personally, I was glad the cafe was empty, since I'm still very cautious with the spread of COVID, but there were at least two to-go orders filled while we were there. The tables all appeared to be clean as well as their single handicap access restroom, which was well stocked. The waitress (blonde) was friendly and talkative, but did not bother us. She checked in on us a couple times and offered to refill our coffee.I did not take photos of their menu, since someone else posted them, in part, in the last couple of days.My only dislike was the music playing in the back, 70s rock n roll, likely from the kitchen, which probably helped the cook keep moving. I just don't care for the high pitch electric guitar sound, but otherwise love the 60s-70s tunes. Overall: Scrumptious, clean, and friendly staff.Parking: Free 2-hour limit street parking only.“
“Came during lunch with a client. We both enjoyed the service and food. The prices are fare and the food quality is excellent. Great place to come for lunch or quick bite to eat bonus the wait was under 10 minutes (est). Ashley delivered very excellent and professional customer service. Thank you again. We will be coming back for sure. The impossible burger was prepared just right and my milk tea taro flavor is one of the best I've had in the bay.Vegetarian options: No need to stress the impossible burger taste so good, you will be satisfied.“
“This place has great prices and great food. Their bacon is nice and thick which makes for an awesome BLT or nice side to a waffle. I've tried the waffle, cheese steak, burgers, pancakes and haven't had a bad thing yet. In fact I've gone for breakfast and then left with a burger after that for lunch later on. Good stuff.“
“This was my first time in town and I was so hungry.I’m glad I found The Bureau 510, I walked in immediately got a seat. Victor was my server and I told him about my allergies and he was very accommodating and attentive.I ordered a burger with onion rings and ranch. Omg I’ve never had the most crunchy soft yummy beer battered onion rings in my life. I was blown away with the fry and the flavor. The burger was cooked perfectly the a medium rare and was everything I needed. The table offered vinegar, a few hot sauces, (I unfortunately cannot remember which hot sauces) with salt and pepper. The bathroom was clean, well lit, had soap and paper towels.Thank you for the hospitality!“
“Always a good meal at good prices with nice people they are back for indoor dining now the pandemic is getting behind us.its a busy place at timesFeatures: No mask required its up to you.they wear mask for safetyParking: They share a parking lot so it gets dicey at times“
“Checked out this local burger place in Berkeley after checking Yelp for burgers near Telegraph Ave and Cal. I had their turkey burger which I have to say was the best spiced turkey burger I have had anywhere. A good sized, thin patty came on a sesame see led bun with their standard toppings. Was one of the few times I had to be carful eating it as it was juicy and messy, which is not the usual case for a Turkey burger. Their fries were OK and the sesame seed bun was good but maybe not as soft as some would like, but overall a really great little burger joint. Has some interesting choices I will have to try next time, line the lamb Persian burger and Black Bean burger. Check it out“
“These burgers are delicious. I love the jalapeño cheese fries from the secret menu. This burger joint sets itself apart from the rest with a self-serve kiosk, homemade pickles, and new weekly uniquely flavored burgers ? and fries ?. The open-air white interior and music give it a nice ambiance. The tables and chairs are quickly cleaned after use. The bathroom was well kept. I will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone, especially burger lovers.“
“I've had the chicken tenders and fries and they were delicious. My critique would be that the breading of the chicken fell apart as I bit into it. I liked the flavor of the chicken and could tell that it was homemade. I can't remember if the fries seemed homemade, but they were also tasty and crispy. I asked for a side of ranch, which paired well with the chicken and fries.“
“Owner Michael Karp and his awesome staff have created a tap room style bar & grill that really feels like a home away from home (think 'Cheers' - where everybody knows your name...). Staff and customers are friendly, drinks are stiff, beer list is 2nd to none in this area, and believe it or not, they've got a killer little wine list too. Doren Cab and Josie Rosé by the glass -- Get after it! The food is solid too. It's not super fancy but comfort food that hits the mark for simplicity and quality. If the weather is nice, they've got a killer patio with firepit and TVs showing the top games. If you find yourself in Orinda looking for a great restaurant and fun watering hole, look no further than Fourth Bore!“
“Always great service from staff. Food is consistently delicious and filling. Because the meals are cooked fresh, it's a slight wait of about 10-12 minutes but always worth it.Vegetarian options: Make sure you ask for onions to be well done“
“Food wasn’t super duper, not sure why the container for the salad was half empty. Maybe use another container instead of a big one? Or add a little more lettuce would help.Food was OK, the SF location seems a bit better. The service was nice.“
“Bacon cheese burger is always my go to since coming here for 30 years. The only issue is the price increase. $12 for a burger makes me cook at home more often so it's also a positive. This location is a staple for the community so I support when I can.“
“The food was good atmosphere was very Nice as well there was music in the background while i looked to see what there was to eat i got a beastmode with chicken instead of the steak the chicken was very savory not to mention its was free range as well very delicious the service was Also very Nice and helpful they let me know about the many options they had for mest other than steak they were Also quick with me as well once i walked in all the staff greeted me and welcomed me in would reccomend and i would try it again“
“Came here with a small group of friends. It was a nice day out so we enjoyed the outdoor seating on their patio. Dog friendly outside. I had the Western burger and a salad we got one curly fry that we were all able to share! Everything was delicious. The service was quick and everything was served fresh. I recommend this place for a good burger/fries!“
“Definitely my favorite place for Chicago style hotdogs and hamburgers in Solano County. The polish with grilled onions is the best and you can take it into Cullen's Pub next door so you can have it with a beer on-tap. Seating both inside and outside with plenty of free parking on the streets of downtown Benicia. Don't forget the french fries.“
“My friends and I tried it for the first time and loved it. Friendly staff, quaint and we loved the food! We all hamburgers and sliders. I'll be back. There is not many tables to eat at if you have a larger party but they have a long inviting bar that you can dine at.“
“Ordered both a pumpkin and harvest pie for Thanksgiving from fat apples and picked it up this morning at 9 AM. There were two lines, one for online orders, and the other for walkins and phone orders. The line moved quickly, and the staff was sweet enough to provide complementary coffee for the patrons. I ordered a pumpkin pie and a harvest pie. The harvest pie is a combination of apple and cranberry. Can't wait to try them out tonight.“
“My daughters and I had a birthday celebration dinner at Barney's yesterday. This was the first time I have eaten at a restaurant since the beginning of the pandemic so it was wonderful to have outdoor seating because I felt very comfortable. I would really like to commend the waitstaff. They were incredibly nice and so attentive! I worked in the hospitality industry before the pandemic, and I know how important it is to provide great customer service. The food was excellent. We ordered Cobb salads, three different types of fries and I enjoyed a salmon burger. My daughter had a great hamburger. I also appreciate the fact that takeout boxes are provided because we ordered more than we could eat at one sitting. Thank you for making my daughter's birthday celebration so epic. I won't let another four years pass before I visit Barney's again.“
“With all the places closing along University, it's hard to find a breakfast place, let alone one that's inexpensive. But Bongo Burger, hit the spot. My friend ordered the breakfast special, which included 2 eggs, fried potatoes, and toast for under $8. I had a mushroom and feta cheese omelet with potatoes and toast. Everything was cooked fresh and was ready fairly quickly. All the plates were compostable, so I felt like we were eating against the clock because the plates were flimsy. Haha, but thats Berkeley. The counter person was nice, but their were some issues with the register, so she charged me a guesstimate of what tax would be. I feel like I paid a bit higher than menu pricing. But it was still an excellent value for the area. And the food was tasty. I'll remember it the next time I'm in the area.“
“Patricia and the ladies on her team were welcoming, courteous, knowledgeable and extremely efficient! The food is always well prepared and delicious! We usually order extra to take home and combine with another meal. We most highly recommend Nations, especially the one in El Cerrito, CA!!!“
“Among my favorites. Self-proclaimed oldest brewpub in America, although that status from 1986 may not be true. Good food, nice beer selection in an old place dripping with boho charm. Alas, their sandwich menu selection no longer includes a stellar muffaletta.“
“The food was great, portions were great, price felt worth it, the building is quaint but charming. The only negative thing was the attitude of the employees. They weren't rude or offensive, but seemed disappointed that a customer walked in. Frowns on their faces and a sort of surprised look that someone walked in.Perhaps they were just tired that day. Cooking is hard work. Or maybe they just hate the job or hate life. Either way it felt rather uncomfortable in there as if I've caused them additional pain by ordering some food. It was not busy in there at all, only me and another customer.Overall great place, will return. Hopefully whatever has the employees upset goes away by then and their lives improve, i wish them the best. Also please wear gloves!“
