“First time I visited the place, I ordered and I was really convinced that it would be the same flavor as in many places... But for me a Big Surprise I really tell you GREAT the seasoning that the seafood really has in the Sinaloan flavor!!! Recommended ?% and that's only 2 different dishes but I'm sure that the ones I still have to try will leave me just as satisfied and with an excellent taste in my mouth. Visit it you won't regret it!!! WHAT'S MORE, I WANT TO GO TOMORROW, I ALREADY SAID AND.“
“You know, now days you have to put the food to the side and take a moment to show appreciation for the workers. I wanted tacos from a taqueria but at 9:30pm I had no luck. I ended up at Taco Bell. The guy who took my order via drive thru, gave off happy vibes. As if he enjoyed his job. Then when I approached the video, he had that same energy. He wasn't extra smily or flirty, or even chipper. He was courteous, confident and obliging. It's so hard to find that nowadays. Two thumbs up. The food was made correctly, as I had special requests. Unfortunately I didn't get his name.“
“Just dropped off Tam Boreenman off at The Happy Ending House of Asian Flavors there on Tennessee street, he asked if I could pick him up in 10 minutes....10 minutes! I told him he can just walk over to the La Pinata Taqueria, where I'll be enjoying some Tacos de Canasta, they're the best in Vallejo! Especially the potato and the frejoli tacos. 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆“
“Great Mexican brunch place. I've been here several times, and have had the chilaquiles, blueberry pancakes, chorizo scrambled eggs, breakfast tacos, and breakfast burrito. All were exceptional. Friendly service, low key atmosphere. I will be back again -- and again.Vegetarian options: Veggie hash; pancakes; waffles“
“One of the best taco spots I've had in a while and wish there was a location closer to me! Even the plain ol rice and beans had me and I'm not even a rice and beans kinda person. Also, I'm picky when it comes to horchata and they have one of the best! Staff is also so friendly!! 10/10 im definitely coming back any time im in the area!“
“We went here based on the number of high reviews. It did not disappoint. The food was great! The staff was very friendly. The atmosphere is typical for this type of restaurant. The meals are large proportions and come with hand-made churros, which were incredible. I would go back again.Parking: Limited parking in front of restaurant shared with other storefronts.“
“I tried the lamb with cheese and sour cream, the Tropical grilled vegetables with cheese and sour cream I also tried the vegetable with cheese and sour cream. The grilled lamb was very good with a nice flavor, succulent and tender meat, I added the red sauce that was sweet and tangy, the Tropical vegetable was okay but was a little bland and was about the same as the regular vegetable. The vegetable s were nicely grilled still firm.“
“Best taco truck hands down! Ordered tripe, cow tongue, and beef tacos! Amazing flavor! The atmosphere is not so great as the truck is next to a dive bar. I get it, people get drunk and the food craving kicks in. Will be eating here indefinitely unless food quality changes. Highly recommended this taco truck! Street parking!“
“Always a great time. This day, we ordered birria consome and pollo verde huarache. Not only were they delectable, we got to sit next to a big Mexican themed nativity scene with three Our Ladies of Guadalupe!! Everyone comes here, families, working ppl, the whole neighborhood. It's located in a quiet side street off the main strip.“
“Delicious food! We were on vacation and stopped here. The food was amazing. The options were endless. My 5 year old made us take her back for breakfast the next day . We will totally eat here anytime we are near. The only sad thing was we don't have one of these or even close in my home town.“
“Very tasty food, the attention being a small place is special, I feel at home, I am addicted to a good breakfast with Gallo pinto and plantains, this place makes it exquisite, the menu is simple, the place and especially the kitchen is very clean and the price of the food excellent.Just go you will not be disappointed.“
“Though the facility is very small, the customer service is above great. Upon entering the dining room, the waiter made me feel like he had been waiting all day for me to arrive. I felt so welcomed.Parking: There is a small freel parking lot and street.“
“We ran across this place looking for dinner late the other night. It was closing in 5 minutes so wasn't a good choice then but we noticed the pizza birria on the menu and just had to try it. So when we were in the area again but earlier we decided to give it a shot and boy were we glad. The pizza birria was like a multilayered quesadilla filled with birria and cheese with a side of soup. Filled with onions and topped with cucumber and radishes + add yourself lime and salsa. It was fantastic and we polished off the whole thing with two people. Will be back to try other things. It's inside the Food Barn.“
“Taking time to say goodbye to a classic. Chevys is closing at least two more local locations in my area, so won't have the opportunity dine here anymore. We had to have one last meal at this fun chain restaurant. We both had plates of their delicious fajitas. One steak and chicken, one carnitas and pork belly. The chips and salsa have always been so good and we added a small bowl of the creamy guac to top it off.And of course a margarita had to accompany the meal... ?Will miss this place.“
“Visited this restaurant for the 1st time and I’m glad we did! We wanted to get carnes en su jugo but didn’t know where to go. Searched in google, found this place and decided to give it a try. The restaurant from outside looks like a fast food restaurant but is not. Customer service is outstanding, the food is delicious, definitely tasted like authentic Mexican food. They also have handmade tortillas!I do recommend this place!Quesabirrias and carnes en su jugo are delicious, Guadalajara style!“
“Got the super burrito with carne asada fries and a pineapple water… the burrito was as big as a small child and I am confident it is the best burrito on planet earth, like… really… really… really good, the pineapple water was heavenly, it’s like pineapple 2.0… I didn’t have much carne asada fries because I was too busy shoveling the burrito into my mouth.Touring San Francisco.. chances are will return to San Francisco for the burrito alone.Parking: Plenty of parking right behind the restaurant“
“I came here with a few of my friends. I split a dish of whole fried fish and carne asada tacos with my friend. The fried fish was done well but it had not much flavor. It wasn't seasoned and no salsa sauce to go with it. But I have to say the carne asada tacos were one of the tastiest that I've ever had. This is a Mexican restaurant on Solano ave so the prices commensurate with the location. It has indoor and outdoor dining, very pleasant.“
“I was craving crispy tacos the other day and I thought I'd try La Estrella. I got the food home and I was a little underwhelmed because the taco shells looked so uniformed and pre-made I didn't expect much. I've similar looking tacos from other restaurants that were not very good. After the first bite I knew I was wrong. They were light, crispy, and crunchy and the al pastor was amazing! The tacos held up bite after bite and didn't fall apart. It was exactly what I wanted and the side of beans were so good. I plan on getting lunch here later today.“
“I go here when I want to get a quick solid burrito; I get steak or veggie, it all depends on how I am feeling. They are consistent when it comes to the food as well as service. It is a family-owned establishment so the staff is polite and very accommodating with special requests. While I'm in the V, Elvia's will continue to be my go-to spot. Keep up the great work you all.“
“The food was super delicious. My kids ate it all and they're picky. I got the green chilaquiles and cleaned the plate! The only thing was the lady never came and offered refills or checked up on us after we got our food. We had to wave to her to ask for the bill. I'd definitely go there again if only I didn't live 7 hours away!“
“Picked up a 37 FL Knucklehead motor from Mrs. Tillgather up on the top of Florida street for a hundred bucks, her late husband converted it into a compressor to run his air tools. As soon as I had it loaded up she asked me if I wanted the motorcycle it came from...she said you can have it cause it doesn't have a motor no more!I celebrated at Tacos Jalisco because they're the best in Vallejo!5 stars all day long. ☆☆☆☆☆“
“Cute restaurant with pretty dishes but the taste is a bit bland (not spicy) for Mexican food, quite oily, and it seems that the 3 dishes we ordered had some sugar or sweetener (they were a bit sweet instead of spicy, making this feel more "Americanized"). The food was good, just not what I typically prefer.“
“This is a Mexican restaurant Located at el Sobrante and this environment is very clean and the employees are very nice and they have a good amount of pictures inside of their restaurant. The bathroom is also clean and the tables are nice wooden finish. They have a note saying that to throw your trash away after you eat they also have outdoor tables with plants around they also have a seat. that looks really good and they have machines that give out candies and stuff so their holding is really decorated. Their chairs are also good. They have lights around the building. The food is also very good. They keep it hot and they give you numbers which they call out and you go get, your food which is little they also give you small packets of chips and salsa, but for more you have to pay extra salsa, they have green, red and mango and chunky. They all are good. So definitely recommend this place.Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options“
“I really missed MexiCali Rose. So this was the only Mexican place I found that served ground beef. Margaritas do the job. College town with decent parking. Food is good like home style.Vegetarian options: Some vegan items or can request special orders.“
“Ok, I have to agree with the other reviews. Some of the best food from a food truck. We ordered a carnitas regular burrito, fish super burrito and steak fries. Steak fries had a good amount of steak and the fries were not soggy. Surprisingly both burritos had a good amount of meat and fish. The only difference between a regular and super is that the super has guac. The service was quick. We didn't eat at their patio, we took our food to go. But their seating area was nice for an outdoor space. Definitely going back again.“
“Just tried this place for the first time and WOW! I had their Huevos A La Mexicana breakfast burrito and it’s one of the best I’ve had in town. It was a messy to eat but that’s how you know it’s the real deal! Seating is outside and wasn’t too crowded for a Sunday. The staff was very friendly. I will definitely be going back to try the rest of their menu!“
“Amazing service looked after us in our time of need as we were 6 hours from home. Kept in touch with us to insure we made it home safe! I highly recommend! Quality service quality care. Thank you so much for all your help!! We will see you again when we are up those ways!“
“We LOVE Chico's Taqueria! Incredibly fast, consistently fresh and delicious food, Wonderful owners! Burritos, Tacos, Quesadillas...get in there and try them!Vegetarian options: Cheese quesadillas, bean cheese rice burritos, chile verde...Parking: Easy plentifulKid-friendliness: Tons of options for littles“
“I opted for dinner at Epale and quickly returned to enjoy their delicious enchiladas, which are perfectly complemented by a spoonful of rice and refried beans. It's truly a delightful culinary experience. Don't miss out on these enchiladas! All this food for 15 dollars!“
“Excelente servicio. El mismo dueño atiende con mucho gusto, si me hiso recordar los tacos de Tijuana. Recomendadisimos los tacos de cabeza al vapor!!!? 10/10Vegetarian options: Just ask your dishes with out meatKid-friendliness: You could modify the dishes.“
“So gentle the lady taking the order at the lunch truck she look higine and courteously, good experience for my first time here, they are on the side of the gas station they have benches you can eat there, but benches do not have shade, so, it's better to eat in the car. I ordered two tacos of pork skin ("Tacos de chicharron) wow, amaze me with the flavor the pork skin crunchy and that fried flavor that taste good once you eat it, you feel the tons of flavor with salsa on the top of the tacos and grilled onion and grilled jalapeño salsa spicy a bit but makes real flavor to the taco, and raw onion and cilantro, definitely ill come back for sure, pricey sure, but how they serve de tacos ? it's work it.Parking: There're plenty of parking they are on the side of a gas station easy accses to park .“
“Hey, y'all! I visited Maya's on a coworkers suggestion and I was very pleased! I ordered the Carnitas Burrito, and it was GOOD! I asked for light rice and light on the beans. The tortilla was crusty and brown. I ate it about an hour later, and the Burrito ? was still in good "chomping" shape. ? It was not damp or mushy. I almost ordered the nachos, but did not want to be greedy. ? That'll be my choice on the next visit. I have passed by the establishment before, but I just did not have the time to visit. The staff (lady at the register) was nice and helpful with my questions. It's a must stop!Parking: Busy spot with other businesses nearby. Folks were parked in the street to place orders.“
“This place is hella good. Great customer service. 2.50 a taco for good meat. All around Thats great. I got one taco de al pastor and one taco de asada. I'd say the asada is better. The sauce they put on it is really good and not too spicy for a gringa like me.“
“My wife and I are from a small town south of Houston and let me tell you this place is the real deal. The food is amazing and the service is excellent. Thank you Momo’s for the great experience see you Saturday.Parking: Easy parkingKid-friendliness: Plenty of options for the kids“
“Masa Is a great local taqueria/tamaleria. They have the best fish tacos around, bar none. Baja style beer battered fish on a tostada! YES PLEASE. Ceviche options are generous and fresh. My mom drives from Marin to get tamales here. There is a generous selection of alcoholic beverages along with lots of non-alcoholic options including multiple aguas frescas that change daily. There are Mexican snacks for sale as well as a nice selection of grab and go dessets. I honestly have never had a bad meal here. I would LOVE a Chile relleno burrito on the menu- hint, hint! You can also order fresh, hot tortillas which I often grab when I've made a meal at home they will complement. Indoor and outdoor patio seating available.“
“I'd read about Los Mexicanos on Eater so, on a recent trip back to the East Bay, spent a half day working remotely from the Richmond where I could conveniently load up on tacos, tacos, and more tacos. And the ones here at Los Mexicanos didn't disappoint. After leaving the East Bay for Cleveland last year, I've missed honest, authentic, down-home tacos where the meats are the stars of the show, instead of ridiculous "fusion" toppings like candied walnuts that Ohioans go for (yes, really). The cabeza, lengua, pastor, and chorizo didn't disappoint. Generous portions of well-grilled and/or well-marinated meat served atop deliciously warm corn tortillas and with your choices of salsas, onions, cilantro, and lime sprinkled on. ¡Muy delicioso! Service from a lady running the entire store was efficient and super sweet. The venue is a cozy, home-like dining room with about a dozen tables. Although I don't remember there being any dedicated parking, there should be enough in front or up and down the street. A most excellent, local, independent find thanks to Luke Tsai of Eater!“
“I go to Angel's for the breakfast burrito with bacon. It always delivers, esp. with some hot sauce. The building and interior need some TLC, but if you look past that you'll discover a gem with quick, friendly service. Grab coffee from Catahoula across the street.“
“I found this cosy fusion salvadorean/ mexican restaurant on San Pablo avenue, they went the extra mile for a small mistake such as the wrong meat in the super burrito that my wife ordered, very tasty but the way, they gave the right order to go to my wife, this action see it on hotel or fancy restaurants, I tell you that They just impressed us, definitely we decided to go back to try out other items from the manu that already coughed our interests before they enhanced our experience.“
“Honestly the best Hispanic food in the bay area! I am from socal. And have been looking for a place just like this since I moved here a few years ago. Now me and my wife call this place "our spo"! I tell everyone to come to this spot. It is the best food you could everhope for. Atleast for me and my wife! We have been here so many time and not once has it been a bad experience. Basically if you want Authentic hispanic food. In the bay area. This is the spot.!!!! ??“
“Unfortunately this place is really went downhill. I've been eating here since this place first opened and the quality is nowhere near what it used to be. Came in with my son today and ordered cheese enchiladas and some tacos. Tacos were cold, enchilada sauce was watery, and the cheese inside the enchiladas was not melted. Staff is not friendly and did not even ask if we wanted to eat in. This place used to be my favorite place to eat.“
“A+!! Perfect burrito, lovingly prepared by wonderful people, with perfect proportions of fresh ingredients, delicious flavors, and huge portions! Go out of your way for this!Vegetarian options: Veggie Burrito - beans, cheese, crema, lettuce, tomato, onion, cilantro“
“This review is actually way overdue but while I have some time I wanted to thank El Sol for being my FAVORITE. I am a 10year plus customer, and I absolutely love the staff including the owner Joesapine because their customer service is top tier. I am a pescatarian but when I place my order for food I am always satisfied. They listen to me and always want their customers beyond satisfied! It was a time when I was in the hospital and El Sol continued to prepare my soups for me, which meant so much to me. A special, warm, pleasant ambience to dwell in. My favorites are the savory tiger prawn soup, crispy prawn tacos, and their juicy black beans! Thank you for everything. -Ashley“
“When in town visiting family, Tacos Mexico is a must! I have to go at least once! I love the burritos at this taco truck spot and have been coming here for years! I usually order their Super Burritos which are filled with whatever meat you want with rice, beans, sour cream, cheese, onions, and cilantro. With your burrito, they also give you a side of tortilla chips. Their burritos are large in size. My go-to meats in my burritos are usually carne asada or carnitas. The meats are usually flavored well with their seasonings and everything in the burrito just goes well with each other. The burritos are large enough that I can have it as two meals.Tacos Mexico is located near the Grocery Outlet, which used to be the old Yard Birds lot. There are always plenty of people but they work quickly! Make sure you have cash as they only take cash. No cards!“
“Food was delicious and super authentic. I had the Plato típico with pupusas and plátanos. The horchata was also on point. Service was great, the woman behind the counter/in kitchen does it all! Super attentive and kind. Food took a little long but worth the wait! The dine in area is small and mixed with random things they sell, from shampoos to ES jerseys. Very mom and pop spot, feels a bit more set up for to go orders.“
“Partner and I had sopa de pollo and a caldo de res. Belen makes some amazing food. The made to order corn tortillas are HUGE, soft, and yummy. The chips and salsa - amazing salsa. Wish they sold champurrado or atole for the cold days. Belen always seems grumpy, but she's not - she's just busy making great food.“
“I like to sit in at the bar and watch the games, the margarita is very good. The service is always good at the bar, but the last time I was there they charged 18% service fee if you sat there. I didn't care for that I always had tipped more. My favorite is the seafood enchiladas with the creamy tequila Sauce. I don't know I have had it anywhere else and I enjoy it. The chips are good, the salsa too. I had the fajitas before overloaded with bell pepper but still really good. If I had one thing to say the Happy Hour menu would be nice if printed or it was online. It is a great place for parties.1 star because the food is always barely warm every time, but they will reheat it.“
“We love visiting the place but on Saturday March 9, a waitress named Oneida made us uncomfortable by making vulgar comments about the Salvadoran women. My mother and my aunt are Salvadoran women and they felt offended. She was talking to gentlemen who were loudly making racist and vulgar comments at another table. And everyone hauling away the obscene.“
“Honestly the best Mexican tamales on 23rd st. I have come to them for the past 10+ years and while the prices have increased the portions and the flavor remains the same. The people are warm and welcoming and their customer service is always good. Their salsas OMG! Just delicious. If you are in town and you are craving tamales, please stop by and give them a try! You will not be disappointed.“
“Wow! That should encapsulate everything I'm about to say. To start things off to a strong warm welcoming for me, duck as a protein is a sign that this place was meant to be. The duck tacos with guacamole and pomegranate seeds were a nice end to my day. I confess I'm now using pomegranate when I roast a duck! At Fonda, the meat is tender, juicy, and so flavorful. An unexpected treat! The fried plantains are delightful and they're paired with black beans, cream, and salsa molcajete. If you're not a fan of overtly spicy things, like me, get the salsa on the side as I will in the future but regardless, all things were tasty! The drinks are well made and thoughtful. It didn't feel like I was just ordering from a generic drink menu. The Fonda drink was delightful. Overall I suggest this place for lovers of Latin food. On my try list: mushroom empanadas, tuna tartare, and fish tacos. I believe I shall pair it with an Idle Hands cocktail! Great job to the chefs and staff at Fonda!“
“Returned a second time and it was well worth it. The food is spot on. I really enjoyed the beef soup that was delightful! And our server was outstanding. Our food came out in a very good time. She returned several times to make sure everything was going well. Kudos to the food and service!“
