“We have been members at Calera winery since 2014 and their wine is consistently our top choice! They are world-renowned for their Pinots, but their Rose and Chardonnay are just as exquisite. We drove up to Hollister to get away from the stormy weather in San Jose, and we were lucky to hit a break in the rain and enjoy an awesome wine tasting thanks to the hospitality of the staff. The minerality and crispness of the wines is unparallel. We had a great time and took home a Jensen and a Chalone. The tasting room has undergone a facelift and is sporting a variety of tables and even a cozy private room, in addition to plentiful outdoor seating with unbelievable views of the valley and the mountains. “We just happened to drive by. We like sake so we figured we would see if they had a tasting room. We felt a little weird going in because it seems like it's set up for semi trucks, but don't let that deter you!! They have an office so we stopped in to see if there were tours we could take or a tasting room. Unfortunately they don't have either but they are in the process of setting up a tasting room.It was ok though because the prices were good enough we could get a bottle of each! Just follow the signs for the office and stop in. The girls at the front are super friendly and helpful. 5/5 for us.“

My husband and I looked at 10 venues before we found Léal and as soon as we got to there we knew this was the place for us.Niamh was our tour guide and greeted us with champagne and made us feel so special and at ease. She helped us picked our date based on their availability and weather (we wanted our whole wedding outside) and from the moment we met her to our big day she continued to go over and beyond.Léal takes care of everything for you besides hair & makeup, photography/videography, and dessert. They made it so stress free for us and exceeded our expectations.Melissa was our wedding planner from Léal and she was always reachable and very thorough. My husband and I kept waiting for something to go wrong and we are still surprised to this day how easy everything was.We had a lot of people with special diets and Léal catered to every allergy without any complaint and the food was so good.They did a custom Ring for Champagne wall for us which is just a testament to their customer service and attention to detail.We also rented their Estate Homes which I highly recommend since they are onsite. Our bridal party was able to get ready onsite and stay onsite which made the logistics for everything so smooth. The people at Léal are amazing and made everything we wanted happen and more.“

“Stopped by here on a Sunday after visiting De Rose just down the street. We had previously been to the De Rose tasting room in San Martin and liked it. We didn't like the winery tasting room as much. We were thinking of going to either Calera or Eden Rift afterwards leaning towards Eden Rift because their website noted a Petite Sirah as well as Pinots while Calera pretty much only had Pinots. The guy at De Rose said to go to Calera and not Eden Rift. Glad we didn't listen to him. It was about 3:20 on a Sunday and the tasting room closes at 4pm. There was a couple in front of us and their host kind of disuaded them from tasting since they would be closing soon and just sold them a couple of glasses of wine I believe. Luckily we were greeted by Sarah and after a brief conversation of what we look for in our wines she said that she could hook us up with a sort of mini flight of some Pinots and the Petite Sirah of course. We tasted 3 Pinots, the Estate, the Terraces, and the Landsdale. Sarah gave us a great little presentation into each wine, where they were grown and what sort of flavors we should find in them. She was extremely friendly and informative. We ended up liking pretty much everything but went home with bottles of the Estate and Landsdale Pinots as well as the Petite Sirah. While looking at the map of the Eden Rift vineyards I noticed that they had plots of Grenache, Syrah and Mouvedres. I asked Sarah if E.R. had plans to make a GSM as that tends to be pretty much our favorite type of wine. Sarah said that they did indeed have some in the works but it wouldn't be ready for another year or so. Can't wait to see how that wine turns out. So we ended up having an awesome time with Sarah at Eden Rift. She actually stayed with us until about 4:30pm with no pressure at all for us to leave since they closed at 4pm. Excellent customer service.“
“Fantastic wine selection, excellent service and the outdoor seating area is wonderful on a nice sunny day! If you're in the area I highly recommend taking a drive up to DeRose for a wine flight or even a bottle to take outside and enjoy the sunshine and view of the oldest vines in California.“
